On December 31, SISTAR’s leader and main vocalist Hyorin talked about her income during her appearance in the variety program “Beatles Code 3D”
When Shin Dong Yup said to Hyorin, “I heard that you are the top in your group to have earned the most income” to which the singer replied, “That’s not true anymore.”
Hyorin continued on, “In the past, I used to earn a lot because I filmed some pictorials and commercials for beverages. But now, all the members of SISTAR are doing their own thing and so their incomes have increased. In fact, I’m the one who spends a lot. A lot of money was spent because of my solo album, along with my album cover and music video which were all filmed in the UK.”
Many of the comments from the netizens who watched the program included, “I always thought she was number one,” and “Then is Bora the top earner?”

The Space Expedition Corporation, a Netherlands-based firm, signed an agreement with a Chinese agency last Friday which made it finally possible for ordinary Chinese travelers be able to go for a trip to space by the end of 2014, according to the Xinhua News Agency.
But as a trendsetter, Chinese pop star Han Geng is always one-step-ahead of the game.
Standing out from a worldwide competition sponsored by Lynx, Han was authorized with the qualification to go for a space trip along with other 23 winners, who were announced on December 7.
With a special title as the ambassador of the space trip, Han becomes one of the first non-professional space travelers in China.
"For me, the most important thing is that I will soon see how magnificent the universe and the Earth look like from space with my own eyes and feel the sense of no gravity and high gravity. That will be my unique experience," Han told the Global Times.

I used to come to Itaewon often. I practically lived here. Ji-yong used to live in this area, so I would always hang out and shop here.
It’s past 4AM, but you seem to be brimming with energy.
Doing the shoot gave me renewed energy. I had fun today.
It’s been 5 years since our interview in 2008. Back then you were a boy, but now you seem like a man.
I know, right?
What is the biggest change you’ve experienced in that time?
Rather than going through any big change, I think I’ve matured as a person in a very natural way.

[Video] 2013 K-Pop Group Debuts

With K-Pop going as strong as ever, the endless wave of new group debuts continues to keep us entertained.
These two videos feature debuts from 36 boy groups and 31 girl groups! (that is 163 boys and 121 girls!) This is a little less than last year, which had 38 new boy groups and 41 girl groups. In trying to cover as much as possible, vocal groups, duos, bands, rappers, and sub units are included.
The groups are featured in order of debut.
Girl Groups
To allow for more variety, it seems companies have further embraced the idea of sub units. This year we had Infinite-H, ZE:A5, uBEAT, 100% V, 2YOON, DASONI, T-ara N4, M&N and BOM&HI.
Another interesting thing to note this year is that there wasn’t there wasn’t a debut from the big 3 (not counting sub units). However, they do all have plans for new groups in 2014. YG‘s Winner, while on TV has yet to make their official debut. JYP will be releasing their new boy group GOT7 this month, along with another boy group and girl group later. SM has just started showing off their trainees through SM Rookies.
While it would be nearly impossible to copy the level of popularity EXO and B.A.P in their 2012 rookie year, there are definitely a few standouts from last year.

The husky voice behind the legendary rock band Boohwal - Jung Dong Ha is finally bidding 'adieu' to his bandmate after his contract expired on December 31st of last year. He joined the group in 2005 as the band's ninth vocalist.
His agency, Boohwal Entertainment, released a statement regarding the matter saying, "Boohwal and Jung Dong Ha have ended their 8-year journey together. With their final concert held in Wando during the last day of 2013, they reached an agreement to finally conclude their 8-year walk as a band".
Another rep stated, "It has been a big honor to have him as the band's ninth vocalist and we wish him all the best... He has been a huge contributor and a beautiful wing to the group."
[Another traduction] "We wish that Jung Dong Ha, who has been a beautiful wing to Boohwal, can fly even higher and also as Boohwal”s ninth vocalist, Jung Dong Ha will keep that honor in his heart as he joins the lineup of Boohwal”s past vocalists."
The band has had vocalists such as Lee Seung Chul, Kim Jae Ki, Kim Jae Hee, Park Wan Kyu, Kim Ki Yeon, Lee Sang Wook, and Jung Dan. Jung Dong Ha was also considered the vocalist who stayed with the group the longest.
On a happier note, it is also known that the singer plans to tie the knot with his non-celebrity girlfriend of 8 years this month in a private ceremony.
Although it is still unclear as to what his future plans are, fans are eager to wait for his announcements. Keep posted for more details.

I knew it, I fucking knew it. He's been doing so much solo stuff (2 musicals AT THE SAME TIME! on top of touring with Boohwal and the occasional Immortal Songs episodes) and when he announced he was getting married.. I just knew that was it. So it's not a shock, I've been expecting it, but I'm still sad. But also happy for him. I hope he doesn't just disappear :C He's too talented.
