Jung Dong Ha Says Goodbye to Boohwal and Hello to Married Life

The husky voice behind the legendary rock band Boohwal - Jung Dong Ha is finally bidding 'adieu' to his bandmate after his contract expired on December 31st of last year. He joined the group in 2005 as the band's ninth vocalist.

His agency, Boohwal Entertainment, released a statement regarding the matter saying, "Boohwal and Jung Dong Ha have ended their 8-year journey together. With their final concert held in Wando during the last day of 2013, they reached an agreement to finally conclude their 8-year walk as a band".

Another rep stated, "It has been a big honor to have him as the band's ninth vocalist and we wish him all the best... He has been a huge contributor and a beautiful wing to the group."

[Another traduction] "We wish that Jung Dong Ha, who has been a beautiful wing to Boohwal, can fly even higher and also as Boohwal”s ninth vocalist, Jung Dong Ha will keep that honor in his heart as he joins the lineup of Boohwal”s past vocalists."

The band has had vocalists such as Lee Seung Chul, Kim Jae Ki, Kim Jae Hee, Park Wan Kyu, Kim Ki Yeon, Lee Sang Wook, and Jung Dan. Jung Dong Ha was also considered the vocalist who stayed with the group the longest.

On a happier note, it is also known that the singer plans to tie the knot with his non-celebrity girlfriend of 8 years this month in a private ceremony.

Although it is still unclear as to what his future plans are, fans are eager to wait for his announcements. Keep posted for more details.

I knew it, I fucking knew it. He's been doing so much solo stuff (2 musicals AT THE SAME TIME! on top of touring with Boohwal and the occasional Immortal Songs episodes) and when he announced he was getting married.. I just knew that was it. So it's not a shock, I've been expecting it, but I'm still sad. But also happy for him. I hope he doesn't just disappear :C He's too talented.

He was the eye and ear candy of the band. :-( But I guess this was expected. It won't be easy for Boohwal to find a replacement for him though.

Seriously, they owe a lot of their new and younger fanbase to him. They came back to the public scene with Kim Tae Won appearing on variety shows but I think It's Dong Ha who in the end attracted new fans.

I really hope he doesn't disappear too!! His voice is amazing. And I'm sad it took me a long time to discover him so I missed out on listening to him for so long. But hopefully he'll be back singing in the not too far off future!! It's lovely to hear his wedding is happening this month, I hope they have a beautiful day and an even more beautiful marriage :)

I don't think he'll stop doing music because he loves it too much but I hope he'll still do stuff that we have access to. Or that I'm interested in because his musicals.. Eh. I love him but I don't think he's good at it XD
