I don't think he fully understands what "context" really is. If he's really interested in not being sexist, perhaps he should consider the context of millions of women and girls being told regularly that they are not as good as men, that they are not as worthy as men and that their ability to succeed in the world is at the whims of the men who control the "context" in which so many women live their lives.

Maybe if he was less concerned with his ego, he might be able to avoid saying sexist stuff in the future.
