The netizens who had posted a photoshopped photo of Davichi’s Kang Min Kyung have given up on their appeals, and their sentences have been finalized.

The three who were charged with distributing the photoshopped photo and distributing false information about Kang Min Kyung did not submit their petition of appeal, and now the deadline has passed.

For both the prosecution and the defense, if the petition for appeal is not submitted within one week after the final trial, the sentence becomes final. Kang Min Kyung’s agency, Core Contents Media, said to Star News, “One of the defendants sent a letter to our agency, saying that he has since constantly been in self-reflection. He seemed to be acknowledging all of his wrongs and apologizing.”

This past December 12, the perpetrators were sentenced to 6 months in prison, with two years of probation and 80 hours of community service. According to the prosecution, they had fabricated a photo to look like Kang Min Kyung was entertaining some men at an adult entertainment establishment, and uploaded comments that suggested the woman in the photo was the Davichi member.

This spring, Core Contents Media revealed that they had submitted their complaint to the investigative authorities. They said, “The people behind this crime were not students, but adults. While we have been lenient with these types of cases in the past, from now on, in the interest of preventing these instances in the future, we will be continuing with strong action.”

one_broken and I are back! Did you miss us and our predictions? If you did, have no fear. 2013 was a good year for Korean entertainment. There were many great dramas and new variety shows. There were many great albums released and many great groups debuting. Many great people joined the world of radio. What do we see for 2014?

Our crystal ball was looking quite cloudy for a good twenty minutes, but lucky for you fellow Omonazians, we see many things.

• Yunho and Jaejoong go to the army separately, but YunJae stans go extra crazy with how they will meet and “rekindle their love” while the rest of the world doesn’t care.


• Lunafly comes to Chicago and I meet leader Sam and have an awkward chat with lots of blushing back and forth.


• There will many world tours that are actual world tours.


• DBSK’s new album Tense is so amazing, Korea will recognize the legends that they are and give them the #1 they never got for Catch Me or Humanoids.

There are some amazing things in store for 2014, and we can't wait to see them come true! This year it is BYOCB or Bring Your Own Crystal Ball. Tough New Rules for Talent Agencies

The government is cracking down on entertainment agencies, with legislation passing Tuesday that will restrict who can create new companies.

Under the law, new agencies will need to get approval from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism before they recruit trainees. Founders of new entertainment agencies will be required to have at least four years of experience in the industry, and those who have a criminal record will come under tighter scrutiny.

In addition, stricter rules protecting underage trainees will prevent them from training between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. or for more than 46 hours per week.

“With these new rules, we will have a healthier entertainment industry and make the overall pop culture and related businesses develop by restricting the number of agencies,” said the ministry in a statement. “We will continue working to improve regulations in the coming days.”

The new measures will be reviewed in a cabinet meeting soon and will become effective six months after the review is completed.

- What kind of colour are you making your debut album into?

MINO: Our team’s advantage is being able to keep our own individual colours while giving it a synergy effect.  Since it hasn’t been decided yet, I can’t say it’s exactly “this”as of right now.  However, I’m hip-hop, Seungyoon’s rock, Taehyun’s retro, and so on.  The members also listen to diverse music without being picky.  Seeing as how all the five members  have different colours, it’s great because we can all learn about different types of music.  Starting now, I think  we have to go and create WINNER’s own  colour.


- Officially, you are all still pre-debut but your popularity is amazing.   A moment you realized your popularity?

JINWOO: Maybe it’s because we’re doing a reality program right now but there’s a lot of people that have been recognizing us.  When we were shopping in Osaka, the fans crowded around and it felt like we were bombed.  There’s also a lot of people who recognize us on the street corner from our dorm on our way to the practice centre.  Every time that happened, because we were thrilled, we would talk amongst ourselves and say, “We must’ve  become famous!”.

Some of the best vocalists of the South Korean music industry will go head-to-head on “Immortal Song 2.”
 

"On December 15th singers such as Baek Ji Young,Ailee, Sea, and Moon Myung Jin will be joining the cast members in a rival battle for ‘Immortal Song 2,’" read an official network statement.

Many of the top vocalists will be battling it out to see who is the top singer, and the lineup includes Baek Ji Young, Ali, Jung Dong Ha, Ailee, Rose Motel, Cho Jang Hyuk, JK Kim Dong Wook, V.O.S., Moon Myung Jin, Sea, Kim Bada, and SISTAR’s Hyolyn.

If there’s one thing all of these guest stars have in common, it’s that these stars have been on the show since the show’s debut. Besides the singers  that are currently starring on the show, Ailee, Sea, Hyolyn, Jung Dong Ha, Rose Inn, and Moon Myung Jin will be making a welcome return to the show after a long hiatus.

Also, this will be Baek Ji Young’s first time starring on “Immortal Song,” and there’s much anticipation as to what kind of stage she will bring to the table.

Since this broadcast will feature an all-star cast in this rival edition, the flow will differ from the usual format. They will be reinterpreting songs from the 1960s to the 1990s of rivals Nam Jin and Ha Hoon Ah. If before they took turns sequentially, this time singers will go one versus one. The best score will have the honor of being called the winner.


This episode is scheduled to air in early January (Jan. 4th).

Rainbow Releases Sexy New Comeback Teaser

On December 31, female idol group Rainbow released teaser images for their upcoming comeback on their Twitter and Facebook. The photos are polaroid style, and show anonymous shots of the members in tight black and lace outfits.

While their previous songs have been more on the cute side, it looks like they’re changing up their concept and coming out in sexy style.

The four polaroids together spell out the word “BLAXX,” which could be the name of their new album or song, but it is still unknown.

If their comeback is in January, they will be joining a long list of powerful long-awaited names on stage, like Girl’s Day, Rain, TVXQ, and B1A4, among others.
