As previously reported, Sunny Hill‘s Jang Hyun will be enlisting in the army to fulfill his mandatory two years of service

Although it’s unfortunate that he was called in during the middle of the group’s comeback promotions, his fellow groupmates left an encouraging message for Jang Hyun to keep his spirits up while serving.

K-Pop is showing its global power once again, as it has completely dominated Thailand's Top 50 songs of the year for 2011!

Thailand's Channel V recently released their "2011 Asian Music Top 50," and results showed that out of the 50 total songs, an impressive 48 of them were Korean! From BEAST to JYJ, TVXQ, Super Junior, and SNSD, K-Pop stars dominated the charts. The only non-Korean acts on the ranking included Taiwanese stars Jay Chou and Wang Leehom in 37th and 47th place.

The top 10 saw a complete wipe out by male groups. First place was taken by BEAST's "Beautiful," followed by JYJ's "Ayy Girl" and TVXQ's "Keep Your Head Down." Kim Hyun Joong, Super Junior, 2PM, GD&TOP, and CN Blue followed.

Girl groups also fared well, with SNSD dropping four songs in the top 24. T-ara's "Bo Peep Bo Peep" took 21st while 2NE1's "Ugly" took 25th.

The group that had the most songs rank in was none other than Big Bang. Big Bang's "Tonight" (16th), "Love Song" (29th), GD&TOP's "High High" (7th), "Baby Good Night" (13th), "Knock Out" (42nd), Seungri's "VVIP" (32nd), and finally Taeyang's "Wedding Dress" (34th) rounded out the rankings.

Recently, a couple photos of 2NE1’s Park Bom shopping have been revealed on an online community board. In the photos titled, “Thought it was a mannequin but it’s Park Bom,” the vocalist from 2NE1 is seen shopping in leopard-patterned shorts and a black tank top. Her bleached hair and light skin accentuates her doll-like figure, leaving a strong impression to many fans that have followed her for mostly for her strong vocal skills.

2NE1‘s Park Bom was impressed with ‘K-POP Star’ contestant Michelle Lee.

On the episode of ‘Survival Audition K-POP Star‘ that aired on the 29th, Michelle Lee belted out Beyonce‘s “Work it Out” in front of YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk, 2NE1′s Park Bom & CL, and Big Bang‘s Taeyang & Daesung.

But ahead of her performance, Yang Hyun Suk informed Park Bom that Michelle was good enough to compete against her, and once Michelle began to sing, the panel judges were once again blown away.

Her performance was powerful and emotional, and Park Bom did not hold back her praise saying, “I thought someone turned on a CD just now.”

She also evoked much laughter, being envious of Michelle Lee who Yang Hyun Suk could not stop gushing about.

There seem to be conflicting "reports" on when they're actually debuting, as two weeks ago member Bo Hyung Kim tweeted that they will be debuting on M! This post isn’t a statement of opinion as much as it is a question. I’ve spent quite some time in K-pop, and while I admit that I’ve become rather jaded in regards to fanatical K-pop fandom as a whole, there’s still one thing that continues to puzzle me: voting. Or rather, why are polls so important to fans, and why are fans seemingly obsessed with doing whatever it takes to push their bias group to the top?

On the January 29th episode of ’Girls’ Generation & Dangerous Teens‘, Hwang Yonghyun left the dormitory and show, giving up on trying to develop himself and change his life with the television program.

A staff member was forced to share the news with the ladies of Girls’ Generation while they were on a trip to Japan to receive an award at a ceremony.

“Sorry to be the bearer of bad news on such a joyous day,” he said. “I’m even more sorry towards YoonA and Hyoyeon but… Hwang Yonghyun has left.”

Upon hearing the news, Hyoyeon’s face immediately fell. ”I thought they were joking when they told me,” she said. “I was in such a good mood because we received an award in Japan, but the news was really shocking.”

She continued, “I thought that if YoonA and I tried to convince him to stay, he would…”

The girls were afraid of how this would impact the other boys, but the staff members said they would work harder to fill his shoes as well.

Viewers who watched the episode remarked, “Hope the rest of them stay and continue,” “He isn’t returning?”, “That’s too bad,” “I hope he returns soon,“ and more.

OMONARS, MODS, AND PASSERBYERS, PLEASE LEND ME YOUR EARS, FOR I BRING YOU A POST ABOUT TRAINEES. BUT NOT JUST ANY TRAINEES.

DSP TRAINEES

As you and I know (or you probably don't know, no one cares about dspoor), DSP has been/is in the proccess of releasing a boy group. The group was originally supposed to come out around this time last year, and DSP had plans of releasing the five members, and debuting them as a wonderful boy group to save us from flops. They had been given the nickname SS502.

Sadly, their debut was pushed back due to KARA's scandal, and comeback, as well as Rainbow's comeback, Rainbow Pixie's debut, and is most likely pushed back even more due to DSP Girls' simultaneous debut in Japan and Korea.

So, like many curious people who remember, I was like "Hey, what happened with DSP Boys/SS502?" So, I went on my own soul searching, mystifying journey and with the help of DSP Boys – The international forum for DSP's next boy group, I present to you, a compiled and highly accurate list/information post about some DSP's male trainees, the future members of DSP boys/SS502.

Although it doesn’t really seem like she needs it, Sandara Park appears to be working out hard in order to prepare for wearing swimsuits for trips!

On January 30, she wrote on her me2day, “Ah, it has been a long time since I had to go through with this lonely process of self-care! I am working out the last minute before a trip in order to wear a swimsuit. Everyone, let us do everything well beforehand. This was the perfect chance for me to show off my perfect abs! It is regrettable. I am going to work out harder form now on!”

Sandara Park also posted a picture doing pull-ups in a blue jumpsuit.

Netizens that have come across the picture stated, “I think she has a good body. Why lose weight?” “Soon she’s only going to have bones left,” “Why does she need to lose weight. I should just die,” and “It’s good to have perfect abs but don’t push yourself too hard.”

Dear netizens, doing sport is not always about loosing weight, it's also about being toned and feeling good thanks to that lil' thing called endorphin.

Though Jun Jin has been busy preparing for his comeback, after a four year hiatus, he willingly agreed to star in the music video once he heard a male lead was needed, showing off some of that famous Shinhwa loyalty.

He has also shown his special affection for the group. As he’s been using the same training room with Stellar while preparing for a concert, he′s been giving advice to the group in his spare time. In related news, JYJ’s agency CJeS is reportedly looking for alternative theater’s to air their documentary.
