Edit: Since it’s an IG reel and not a post, I think that’s why it won’t embed properly. If I can fix it later I’ll try. Added a fan upload on YouTube.

The former members of Stellar hung out recently and did some choreo from their song (OP’s favorite song from them) Sting! Its cute that they still have a good bond ❤️

If you're a 2nd-generation K-pop fan, you surely remember the era when Brave Brothers was one of the most prominent hitmakers for girl groups. The Brave Sound formula took countless groups to the top of the charts. And now, his self-produced girl group Brave Girls have finally found their place in the spotlight, years after almost everyone had written them off.

The rise of "Rollin'" has made me nostalgic for those bygone years of formulaic, impossibly catchy Brave hits, and I can't be the only one. So here's a little experiment: If our favorite 3rd-generation girl groups had their own Brave Sound songs, which would fit them best? This is purely based on my own opinion, so let's take it away...
Media heavy post ahead! )

So what do you think? With Brave Girls finally getting their well-deserved recognition, is it time to bring back the good old days of Brave Sound bops? Which song/artist picks would you make differently, and what about the many songs/artists that I didn't include? Leave your thoughts below!

[Warning, this is gonna make you angry and sad]

There's a new show called "Miss Back" that is a mix of documentary and variety. It follows a group of “forgotten” female singers who are hoping for a second chance at success. The show is headed by Baek Ji Young, who will be the the singers’ producer and life mentor.
The eight idols on the show are Gayoung from STELLAR, Nada from Wassup, Raina from After School, Sera from 9MUSES, Soyeon from T-ara, Soyul from Crayon Pop, Subin (Dalsooobin) from Dal Shabet, and Jung Yujin from The Ark.

In the first episode, Sera, Soyul and Gayoung talked about their experiences as idols.

9MUSES member Sera was up first, and began, “We filmed a documentary before our debut. It showed a scene where our boss slapped me in the face with rolled-up paper. Even after I left the group, that clip followed me for a long time.”

“Things have changed a lot now, but back then we had to do everything we were told,” she said. “We were wearing garter belts for our first broadcast. It was the first time I’d ever even heard of garter belts.”

“I couldn’t stop crying in the washroom,” Sera continued. “I couldn’t stop crying after seeing myself and the girls who were high school students wearing that. After an hour, I went out and filmed for 10 minutes and then went back in. Afterward, I was fired [as leader].”

MBN’s upcoming variety show “Miss Back” revealed its full lineup!

A mix between a documentary and variety show, “Miss Back” will follow a group of female singers who made their debut in idol groups but are slowly being forgotten in the minds of the public. Through the show, they will be able to share their stories, prepare stunning performances, and hope for another chance at success as singers.

Previously, the program announced that Baek Ji Young will be leading the singers as the show’s producer and life mentor. On September 3, “Miss Back” revealed the eight female artists that will be joining the show’s lineup.

“Miss Back” will star former STELLAR member Gayoung, former Wassup member Nada, After School’s Raina, former 9MUSES member Sera, former T-ara member Soyeon, Crayon Pop’s Soyul, Dal Shabet’s Subin (Dalsooobin), and The Ark’s Jung Yujin. Although these singers debuted as idols after training for long periods of time, they eventually had to distance themselves from the stage. Nonetheless, the eight artists will find a new turning point in their lives by working with the greatest experts in the field.

The eight participants will bring touching moments with their sincere stories from the time they began to dream of becoming a singer until they were separated from the stage. They will also deliver joy with their performances that were already proven to be fantastic through their past stages as girl group members.

“Miss Back” is slated to premiere sometime in October.

In this series I want to go through groups that are gone, but not forgotten. I will go from debut till disbandment or [indefinite] hiatus, remembering the time we had together and look back on their highs and lows.

Stellar

Stellar was a South Korean girl group formed by The Entertainment Pascal in 2011. The group attracted attention because they were initially produced by Eric Mun of the boy band Shinhwa. They disbanded in 2018 after none of the members resigned with the agency.

I'm back guys~ I broke my laptop, lost everything (therefore also all the stuff I had prepared for this series) so I had to buy a new laptop and start all over. Combined with health issues it took me a while to come back. This is not the group I hinted at last time, just to clear that up ;). I don't have anything prepared yet for next week, so no hint :(. I'll just see how it goes.
Onto Stellar; I miss those girls. Not their agency, but just them as a group. I loved Stellar! It's so sad to see they got forced into things they weren't comfortable with and I hated that they started adding members when they really didn't need any new ones. I still listen to Stellar a lot, their songs are fantastic. Marionette and Vibrato were so controversial but musically they are both gems. They could've done a sexy concept without oversexualizing the members. I'm glad they got to do diferent concepts later on though, like Sting and Crying.. they looked a lot happier during those times.
Let me know what you think about this week and who you want to see next? Hope you have fun and thank you as always for stopping by~ ♥
