DSP Media will be debuting its new girl group both in Korea and Japan at the same time through an animation. DSP Media announced on January 31 in a press release, “A girl group (tentatively named DSP Girls) made up of five teenage girls will be unveiled through an animation series titled Pretty Rhythm, Dear My Future, which was jointly produced by Korea and Japan.”

The members of DSP Girls were unveiled at a press conference for the animation held on January 31 in Tokyo. DSP Girls is composed of Haein (18), Shiyoon, Chaekyung, Somin (all 16), and Jae Eun (14).
Despite still preparing for debut, the group has already been drawing attention from the industry, and was chosen as the model for commercials for Nintendo and Whisper. At the press conference, the group grabbed the attention of industry associates and the press by singing its labelmate KARA’s Pretty Girl.
Pretty Rythmn depicts the debut process and success story of girl group trainees in a format combining cartoons with actual photos. Each member of the group will be debuted in the animation after going through training, and the group’s debut single will be release within the animation and in real life simultaneously.
In the animation, DSP Girls will compete against Japan′s AVEX′s girl group Prism, who will also appear in the animation, and they will also collaborate once they rise to fame. The animation is set to premiere in April in Japan on TV Tokyo before it airs in Korea. The exact date for the group’s Korean debut will be determined after the date for the broadcasting of the animation in Korea is confirmed. DSP Girls’ Japanese debut single is slated for July.
The article doesn't say but the tv-show comes out in Tokyo on the 4th and the debut single from the show will be released on the 7th.
