2NE1‘s Park Bom was impressed with ‘K-POP Star’ contestant Michelle Lee.
On the episode of ‘Survival Audition K-POP Star‘ that aired on the 29th, Michelle Lee belted out Beyonce‘s “Work it Out” in front of YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk, 2NE1′s Park Bom & CL, and Big Bang‘s Taeyang & Daesung.
But ahead of her performance, Yang Hyun Suk informed Park Bom that Michelle was good enough to compete against her, and once Michelle began to sing, the panel judges were once again blown away.
Her performance was powerful and emotional, and Park Bom did not hold back her praise saying, “I thought someone turned on a CD just now.”
She also evoked much laughter, being envious of Michelle Lee who Yang Hyun Suk could not stop gushing about.

Date: 2012-01-31 06:46 am (UTC)I wouldn't call it a black pass per se-but they SO want to have that African American aka Black music authenticity stamp. Michelle is very good-she slayed SNSD's 'The Boys' perf with Su-Pearls and lbr YG would be the better company for her in theory, but it may turn out that JYP suits her more.
She'll need a lot of training and I know they'll make her lose weight as well. If she's with YG they'd have her rocking an afro for sure.
