YOU'RE QUICK. The amount of spazzing I did watching this ON MY TV was insane. Seriously, they did an awesome job and I'm kind of glad they didn't get to talk. And it looked like Regis and Bill were really enjoying it. Oh classic comment from a non-Kpop fan watching K-pop: "Why do they all look like they're 12? Oh it cause they're Asian." <---- Courteousy of my sister.
Cue fangirling: I KNEW they wouldn't disappoint me :*) I know they're tired on Korean music shows (after performing the same song 4-5 weeks...) but for high stakes performances like these (i.e., Japanese debut perfs, SMTown NY, etc.) they REALLY bring it. They're one group I can totally count on to dance and sing their asses off in performances where they're representing South Korea and kpop on a larger scale. You can see the hard work they put into perfecting this set of choreo and I just love love love them *____* ♥ They always show the best elements of kpop; great performance and hard work.
I was hoping they'd cut out the pseudo-rap break. It's awkward in the original, and much, much more so in the context of not-excellent English lyrics and US pop.
They all look hot though, and Letterman attempting to say "kansahamnida" was lulzy. Not bad, but eh, I really, really wish they had a better (not necessarily more "US-friendly", just overall better quality and more appropriate to their voices) song to work with. With the exception of the times they have performed in suits and the wonder that is Sunny with short hair, "The Boys" has been such a letdown imo (especially after their Japanese album). It's unfortunate that this is what they're trying to build a more worldwide presence on.
