Vocalist group 2AM have delivered a powerful performance of their debut Japanese song, “Never Let You Go“.

On January 28th, 2AM guested on TBS‘s ‘Happy Music‘, where they brought along a bag of goodies that included a fedora and copies of their debut single. The boys then moved on to perform their famous ballad.

JYJ’s Theatrical Release of “The Day” Cancelled

As we reported earlier, on February 9 JYJ’s documentary “The Day” was supposed to be shown in 20 different CGV movie theaters. However, due to contractual issues from the theater’s side, the theatrical release has been cancelled. (Originally, the documentary was to air on television but there were several problems that occurred pushing the release to be theatrical instead.)

On January 30, C-Jes Entertainment (JYJ's Agency) stated “We are informing you that unfortunately, the theatrical release of the JYJ documentary is cancelled. First of all we apologize to fans for reneging on our promise.”

JYJ’s agency stated “On December 2011, we had an initial agreement. Then on January 16 we had a second meeting. Then on January 19 a press release was sent out that reviews over the contract were finished. We received a contract with a seal on it, January 20. However, on January 20, we received a call from CGV that the final approval was not given and that the contract had to be done all over again.”

JYJ’s agency stated that they will seek out legal measures against CGV for breach of contract.

Earlier today, J.Y.Park and Se7en released a MV teaser for Se7en’s comeback single “When I Can’t Sing”.

Following its release, speedy news correspondent 2NE1‘s Dara wrote on her me2day regarding her thoughts on the song.

“Keyaa…..!!!!!!! Did you see Se7en’s teaser that was released today?!?ㅠ.ㅠ Ahh…. it really breaks my heart..tear tear… even though I already heard the song and saw the MV..^_^ Goodness! Shinhwa, "This week's exercise, heart of a rookie"

Shinhwa who will be making their comeback in March have started a strict exercise regimen.

According to Shinhwa Company agent, "Let's have the best physical condition", no drinking is their goal before their comeback, they promise to exercise for longer hours a day.

If the promise is violated they will get fined. In addition, more than twice a week in the month of February they also have to show up for rehearsal in Gangnam, Seoul, and if they miss a rehearsal they will also be fined.

Moreover, Shinhwa members decided not to do individual activities to be able to concentrate on Shinhwa's comeback and official activities. Actually, Eric and Andy decided to reject movie projects and dramas recently offered. Also, Jun Jin who completed military service back in November did not release a solo project to dedicate his time to Shinhwa's comeback.

Rookie groups usually set these strict principles, but for Shinhwa they aren't the exception they want to work hard to keep Shinhwa brand with pride. Shinhwa members side, "Frankly, they have been working hard in preparing for their comeback".

From their debut times up until now, Shinhwa's agent hinted, "They are eager and have worked hard for their comeback, they have been practicing songs with a different arrangements".

Shinhwa will release a 10th album in the month of March, and will also be holding a concert on March 24-25 at the Seoul Olympic Park Stadium.

Since both Korean and Chinese versions of the prologue single ‘What Is Love’ will be released through various music websites in Korea and China as well as iTunes, it is expected to receive an enthusiastic response from global music fans.

A world-famous producer, Teddy Riley, and a composer, YOO YOUNG JIN, worked together for EXO’s new music ‘What Is Love.’ D.O. and BAEK HYUN sang the Korean version and CHEN and LU HAN sang the Chinese version so it is enough to meet new charms of the new groups.

Especially, the new members D.O. and BAEK HYUN have outstanding singing abilities in various genres.

Big Bang‘s T.O.P was snapped spinning some tunes as a club DJ!

On January 30th, an online community board shared some photos of T.O.P. on the set of his ad shoot with casual brand, ‘FUBU‘.

Though the photos were taken rather quickly, the snapshots managed to capture T.O.P’s strong charisma. The idol is seen gazing intently into the camera, before focusing on the turntables.

Netizens were charmed by his overflowing confidence, and expressed anticipation for his upcoming ads.

South Korea foreign ministry raided in 'diamond scam'

The authorities in South Korea have raided foreign ministry offices as part of an investigation into claims that officials were share-rigging.

Staff are accused of issuing a statement in December 2010 that exaggerated the value of a South Korean-owned diamond mine in Cameroon.

Investigators say friends and family were tipped off and made huge profits when the mine's share value shot up.

Among those accused is a senior diplomat in the foreign ministry.

Former energy envoy Kim Eun-seok was removed from his post last week.

CN Blue’s Kang Min Hyuk may join the cast of a new drama. The young drummer is being considered for a role in the KBS weekend drama “You Rolled in Unexpectedly.” “Kang Min Hyuk is highly likely part of the cast,” a representative of the drama production told local news agencies. “However, he has yet to sign the contract. Pending that, negotiations to finalize the matter are still ongoing.”

If cast, “You Rolled in Unexpectedly” will be his third drama. He appeared in 2010’s “It’s Okay, Daddy’s Girl”and 2011’s “Heartstrings.” In addition to roles in dramas, he also has the music-themed film “Acoustic” in his acting resume.

“You Rolled in Unexpectedly” already features a powerhouse cast. “Queen of Reversals” star Kim Nam Jooplays Hong Yoon Hee, a career-driven woman who marries the perfect surgeon and meets her difficult in-laws.Yoo Joon Sang comes back to TV after five years to play the talented surgeon. ‘K-Pop Star’ contestant Park Ji Min wows again with “I Believe I Can Fly”

As a favorite of judges and viewers alike, contestant Park Ji Min has once again impressed with her powerhouse vocals on this week’s episode of SBS‘s ’K-Pop Star‘.

Park Ji Min was the contestant who blew the world away with her killer rendition of Adele‘s “Rolling In The Deep“, a performance that drew compliments from American celebrities like Ashton Kutcher andEric Benet.

For her next performance, Park Ji Min received advice from J.Y. Park, who coached her through her rendition of R. Kelly‘s hit song, “I Believe I Can Fly“.

After her performance, judges J.Y. Park, Yang Hyun Suk, and BoA gave her a round of applause. BoA and Yang Hyun Suk both stated that they felt underwhelmed at first, but were blown away by the middle of the song.

“I have nothing to say,” BoA murmured. “In the beginning, I thought it was just OK, but as we reached the middle, I saw Park Ji Min.”

Yang Hyun Suk commented, “I initially wondered why she choose this song. So many people sing this song for auditions, so I thought it was too obvious. For that reason, I thought it would be the hardest song for you.” He continued, “Like BoA, I couldn’t focus in the beginning, but as you kept going, you took this typical song and sang it in a style that was all Park Ji Min’s. You performed as expected — you did well.”

Park Ji Young added, “I’m really thankful. Even though I knew what was going to happen, I still got goosebumps”.

He later remarked, “It’s not just her explosive singing ability that astonishes; she also has this incredible sensibility. She utilized and implemented everything that I taught her”.

T-ara's Hwayoung Wants Hot Chocolate

After T-ara's Hwayoung had a wardrobe malfunction on an episode of SBS "Inkigayo", Hwayoung's twin sister Hyoyoung from Coed School and 5dolls posted supportive words for her over Twitter.

On the 30th, Hyoyoung tweeted, "Going to class go go go go!!!" with a picture attached. Hwayoung replied to her twin sister by saying, "Hyoyoung I love you~ Today fighting too!! Later buy hot chocolate for me." Hyoyoung left her warm reply delightfully saying, "Of course~^^ Let's go to have a hot chocolate!!! Quickly come I'll hug you for sure~^^ The tight hug okay?"

Just a day after the accidental exposure, Hwayoung remained with a bright attitude for her fans over Twitter with support from her sister.

After the issue arose on the 29th, Hyoyoung first tweeted, "Please don't worry," followed by, "Fans, you guys.. Thank you.. For being careful ^^ From tomorrow, try to smile!!"

The twins were born in '93 and after Hyoyoung became 2010's Miss Chunhyung, her popularity rose enough for her and her sister to get scouted and debut shortly after. Hyoyoung made her debut with Coed School and Hwayoung debuted 7th member of T-ara shortly after in late 2010.

Choi Siwon steals from Brian

Singer Brian recently exposed Super Junior member Choi Siwon as a thief.

On the January 28th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Quiz that Changed the World‘, Brian revealed many events that had occurred at his own house.

Known for usually being an expert in house decor, Brian stimulated everyone’s curiosity when he spoke on this day’s episode, “I don’t have friends who make a mess when they come visit my house. Instead of making a mess, I have a friend who steals things.“

He continued, “That friend is Super Junior’s Choi Siwon. He steals clothes, hats, and accessories that I get from foreign countries. He just goes into my walk-in closet, tries on my hats, and leaves without asking.“

Also present at the filming, Jo Hyung Gi confessed his understanding of Siwon’s impulses, “I don’t have things that I want, but I’m tempted to go into Brian’s wardrobe when I visit his house. He has such pretty things.“

Siwon and Brian have been known to be close friends in the past, and I think this episode shows their close relationship even more. If Brian really cared, he wouldn’t have let Siwon leave his house with his things in the first place. It definitely makes for an interesting story to tell fans, and it makes me want to see Brian’s house too.

Actor Jang Geun Suk attracted the attention of viewers recently by revealing his thoughts on anti-fans.

An episode of KBS2‘s “Entertainment Weekly” that aired on the 28th showed a clip of Jang Geunsuk doing an on-site photoshoot with actress Go Jun Hee.

After the shoot, Jang Geun Suk commented, “The broadcast created a lot of anti-fans,” but also added, “I was surprised by how many people were also on my side,” expressing his gratitude.

Lee Hyori to make her comeback this summer

‘Sexy Queen’ Lee Hyori is ready to make a comeback to the music scene this year, and her return could be as early as this summer!

Hyori last held promotions in 2010 with her ‘H-Logic‘ album, which were abruptly concluded after she was entangled in a net of plagiarism accusations. Her music promotions have been sparse since then, aside from a special MV featuring in Spica‘s “Potently“.

On January 31st, a representative of her agency revealed, “Lee Hyori is currently working on her new album and is preparing the songs that will be included in it.”

Hyori has been recording songs as she selects them, and representatives predict a comeback as early as this summer or fall.

She will also be focusing her efforts on MCing for SBS‘s ‘You & I‘ with Jung Jae Hyung.
