Former 2NE1 member Minzy (real name Gong Min Ji) has now signed on with entertainment agency Music Works.

On May 16, a representative from Music Works stated, “Gong Min Ji is an artist who has unlimited potential for growth in many different scenes. In order for her to achieve the very best of her talent, we’re going to support her in a wide variety of activities. Outside of her talent, we think Gong Min Ji is an upstanding person with high values. So in accordance with that trust, we will work with her and support her so she can grow and develop.”

The representative continued, “Gong Min Ji plans to make efforts as a musician, working as a soloist who writes her own music and lyrics. She’ll also be helping out with My Teen, the new group set to debut next year, and help out with her juniors both male and female. We ask that you give her your support, interest, and consideration.”

South Korean boy band BTS (also known as the Bangtan Boys) just released their new music video this week — you may not have known they were your new K-Pop faves, but surprise, they are! Watch the video for "Fire" here, which, as the song's title suggests, features lots of things that are on fire. Also, wait for it, the choreography is on fire too, which is why the band has also released a special video that's all about the dance moves:

It's amazing! I can't stop watching it! (Rap Monster is my fave, but I'll hear arguments that Jungkook and Jimin are also in top form here.) It should be noticed that "dance version" alt videos are quite common in K-Pop, because the choreography is so often all kinds of baller, but this is just particularly epic.

Oh, and here's a rehearsal video of BTS doing the whole routine in one flawless take. When will your faves?

Like our members + readers the mod staff really want content to get out ASAP for more people to be able to join. Right now this requires more volunteers to work behind the scenes. We have two mod job positions that interested people can apply for. 1.) Queue mod 2.) Comment section mod.

Here is a brief description of what a mod in either of these positions would do:


QUEUE MOD:

- Uses their main account
- Checks posts follow criteria in order to be approved
- Makes sure content is new and has not be posted (no double posts)
- Leaves screened comments for an OP if corrections are necessary to an approved post



COMMENT SECTION MOD:

- Uses an account other than their main account
- Keeps an eye out for people who may need help or people who are breaking rules
- Warns people breaking rules
- Bans repeat rule breakers
- Keeps a shared event log with other comment section mods.


Once approved more details will be given, and any questions you have will be answered.

in the middle of a live stream variety appearance for their upcoming japanese single, an earthquake that registered at 5.6 on the richter scale occurred just off the eastern coast of japan. the earthquake was felt the most strongly in the saitama and tokyo areas. earthquakes are actually quite common in japan (especially of smaller magnitudes) so the semi-calm reaction from shinee (minus jonghyun) is likely because they've grown accustomed to it happening at this point. regardless, it's still seen as a stronger earthquake! luckily there were no reports of harm done to anyone from the earthquake.

YG dropped a teaser on IG of Bobby in a LINE Chat titled "Boyfriend" asking "What are you doing today?" Media speculation on a teaser a day being released is rampant. Ironically Bobby is actually in Hawaii with is Dad today for their new reality show.
