It's always fun when NJTTW members come on the show. Seeing Jennie being only girl here made me realize how YG just has a few women on the roster. Literally a handful at a time since the early 2000s. Big Mama, Lexy and Gummy way back when. Then it was Gummy and 2NE1 for a long time. Then 2NE1, Lee Hi and AkMu's Suhyun. Lee Hi, Suhyun, and Blackpink for a bit. And now just Suhyun and Blackpink. And you can add Somi and Anda if you count the other labels. So much more on the actors side though! They should have added some actress too.

iKON’s Jinhwan, Yunhyeong, and Donghyuk have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
On January 23, YG Entertainment announced that the three iKON members had tested positive for COVID-19 after exhibiting mild cold symptoms.
Although the entire group immediately halted all activities and went into self-quarantine as a precautionary measure, the other three members—Bobby, Junhoe, and Chanwoo—have since tested negative for the virus.

juhli.livejournal.comGroups that debuted in 2015 will reach the end of their 7-year-contract in 2022, so contract renewal or disbanding talks should be in progress or start soon. Imfact already announced this week that they are de facto disbanding. All Seventeen members already renewed their contracts in 2021.

Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, let’s go back and see what we were listening to in the 1st week in December, 2015.
#3 iKON “Apology”
This was one of the seven songs that the group would officially debut with, and their second single to take the top spot on the charts. It’s still one of their bigger selling songs. I don’t really remember this song, but then again I think I only kind of remember two of their debut songs. Their debut album, “Welcome Back”, was divided into two parts, in between Japanese promotions, with singles released every month. The group would start their 2021 having fun with Kingdom (no, seriously they always looked like they just wanted to have fun on that show lol), and finished it off being uncles thanks to Bobby.

Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we are going back 6 years to the 1st week of October, 2015. I’ve also just realized typing this that today is the first of October. Fuck. The honorable mentions have been posted before, so we’ll check out some live stages. A lot of boys this week. Anyways, I’ve been lazy and putting this off all week…so quick post, let’s go!
#3 Gary featuring Miwoo “Get Some Air”
This was one of the singles from his second solo and his first full album. It features the vocals of Miwoo, who was the first artist signed on to the Leessang Company. I think she sounds like Jung-in. The song feels very Leessang to me.

On the 13th, the Seoul Central District Court heard opinions from the accused and prosecution on the first trial date for Yang Hyun Suk's retaliation against an informant A (Han Seo-hee). Yang Hyun Suk didn't appear in court but his lawyer denied all the charges.
His lawyer pleaded "not guilty" at the trial and stated, "It's true that he [Yang Hyun Suk] met and talked to informant A but he never threatened or forced A to make false statements."

benihime99.livejournal.comSEOUL, June 7 (Yonhap) -- Yang Hyun-suk, former CEO of K-pop powerhouse YG Entertainment, will face a criminal trial for allegedly attempting to cover up a drug scandal involving a singer-rapper, judicial sources said Monday.
According to the sources, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office indicted Yang on May 28 on charges of having threatened and coerced an informant who testified to police about drug suspicions surrounding B.I, the former songwriting leader of YG's boy band iKON, in August 2016.
At the time, the whistleblower arrested for drug use disclosed B.I's suspected drug purchase to police. Yang is accused of intimidating the informant to thwart police investigation into the former iKON member.
