New musical “In the Heights” has revealed its impressive star-studded cast lineup!
“In the Heights” tells the story of the life and dreams of immigrants living in Washington Heights, which is known as a largely Latin American neighborhood of New York City. This production will bring rap, hip-hop, and street dance to the stage.
Actor and rapper Yang Dong Geun will be returning to the musical stage after eight years to fill in the role of Usnavi. Musical actor Jung Won Young, SHINee’s Key, as well as INFINITE’s Jang Dongwoo, who will be trying his hand at his first-ever musical, are all said to be cast for the same role.
Musical actor Seo Kyung Soo, INFINITE’s Kim Sunggyu, and EXO’s Chen, for his musical debut, are reported to be taking on the role of Benny, who falls in love with Nina (played by Kim Bo Kyung and f(x)’s Luna). The role of Vanessa will be played by actress Oh So Yeon and singer/musical actress J-Min.
Furthermore, experienced musical actors Ryu Soo Hwa, Yoon Hyun Wook, Park Ho San, Shim Jung Wan, and more have been cast in this musical as well.
“In the Heights” will be running from September 4 until November 22. The first round of ticket sales is set to open on July 23.

A ‘Real Man’ Kim Jaejoong came out [of the army] for his break after 100 days.
According to a music industry official on July 9th, Kim Jaejoong came out on his first break the past 6th and had unwind with his JYJ members, Park Yuchun and Kim Junsu after a long time.
A representative gave a tip to Newsen on this day July 9: “Kim Jaejoong came out on Monday(July 6). He returns to his unit tomorrow(July 10),” and, “He had a joyous time together with Park Yuchun and Kim Junsu on the past Tuesday(July 7). Kim Junsu finished musical ‘Death Note’ performance and although it was a late hour, he joined them at a location. They had a cordial time gathering as a whole during that period”.
A C-JeS representative said to XportsNews, “Because of MERS, he worried about a visit being difficult, but he come out for vacation with a healthy image”.

According to an exclusive report by Sports DongA, the members of Girl’s Day are planning on returning to AfreecaTV BJ Choi Kun’s broadcast once again to offer an explanation and apology for the behavior that recently swept them up in a wave of controversy.
A music industry insider is said to have revealed that the group members personally called Choi Kun on the morning of July 9 and offered their apologies. This source reports that they have made a promise to appear on his show again on July 10.
Earlier, on July 8, Girl’s Day was heavily criticized for the way they seemingly treated their host, Choi Kun, disrespectfully. Viewers pointed out that they appeared to be ignoring him and talking amongst themselves, as well as other actions that viewers deemed as being rude.
After the controversy began to spread online, Choi Kun stepped up to offer an explanation. However, criticism of the group did not subside.

On July 10th, Tao unveiled an image teaser for his upcoming solo music release, the first since his rumored departure from EXO.
Through Weibo, Tao’s personal studio released an image which says, “Z.TAO Huang Zitao Coming 7.13.” While the image does not give a hint on the nature of the release, the studio also wrote, “7.13 Huang Zitao Z.TAO COMING SOON! #Huang Zi Tao Fresh Voice#,” seemingly indicating that the release will be music-based.
Chinese media outlet Sohu contacted Tao’s representative from the studio, who stated, “This is only the concept poster announcing Tao’s comeback. It is not the official album cover.” Previously, Tao was spotted working hard in a recording studio, sparking rumours of a solo release.
