They've been slowly "fixing" her up since 2013. This last hiatus gave her a lot of time to play with her face.

I always thought that she looked a bit like Boa. A friend and me used to call her "mini-Boa" at the beginning of f(x). Slimming her face down makes it easier to see, I guess. I just hope there were no PS

It seems to be a combination of weight loss, styling, and I think she got some subtle work done. Her true transformation magic is the carboxy shots she gets. She looks good though and I hope she gets more exposure.

she's been yoyoing back and forth over the last two years - or at least netizens have been yoyoing on pointing it out. i remember an article similar to this, but more focused on her weight loss / less on her face, came out in at the start of the year, maybe? but she def got carboxy shots on her legs two years ago - i remember netizens made a deal about that then (after making a deal about her legs being "too muscular" before that, ofc).

its the shitty job they did with her eyebrow shape, and that she's wearing circle lenses. She looks older because her make up doesnt have much bright colors (lips or cheeks), so her muted/paled out face make up along with that shade of blonde is making her look old. also the way her bangs are styled exposing her hairline without the usual hairline contouring that SM likes to do makes it look odd.
