Plot:
Lee Eun-bi lives at the orphanage Love's House in Tongyeong, South Gyeongsang Province, where younger residents look up to her as a mother figure. They don't know that she's friendless at her school and viciously bullied by a posse of mean girls led by Kang So-young, while teachers turn a blind eye.
On the other hand, Go Eun-byul is the most popular girl at Segang High School, the most prestigious private high school in Seoul's Gangnam District. Eun-byul's best friends are Cha Song-joo and Lee Shi-jin, and she shares a mutual attraction with Han Yi-an, the school's star swimmer. But Eun-byul has secrets, including one involving a girl named Jung Soo-in.
Eun-bi and Eun-byul look exactly alike, but only Eun-byul is aware of the other's existence.
One day, on a school field trip to Tongyeong, Eun-byul mysteriously disappears. At the same time, Eun-bi gets unjustly expelled from her school and transfers to Segang. Injured and amnesic, Eun-Bi is mistaken for her doppelgänger Eun-Byul, she starts living the latter's charmed life unaware of the secrets the prestigious school held.

iKON To Finally Debut? Preview for iKON in July's High Cut

YG Entertainment boy group iKON has graced the cover of celebrity magazine High Cut even before their official debut.

On June 17, the magazine released a sneak peek into their cover story featuring the yet-to-debut boy group. In the pictures, the members of the group show off their charismatic charm, dressed in fashionable, hip hop-inspired outfits.

During the interview that took place after the photo shoot, when the interviewer asked the group what kind of music they will be presenting, B.I answered, “It will definitely be good music. We are constantly thinking about what kind of performance we will show with that music as well.” Another member Kim Dong Hyuk also added, “I think we will be able to show you on stage why it took so long for us to debut.”

The full photo shoot and the interview with iKON will be revealed in the upcoming issue of High Cut, which will be released on June 18.







YG Entertainment has confirmed iKON as the next group to come out following BIGBANG!

According to a music industry insider on June 17, the agency has recently decided to release iKON for their official debut around the time that BIGBANG wraps up their ‘MADE’ comeback project this September.

This source stated, “iKON has made over 50 songs in preparation for their official debut. iKON will take their first step into the music industry by officially releasing their debut track as early as the end of August.”

On June 17, a representative of YGE shared, “iKON has their debut ahead of them in late-August. While the exact time frame is subject to change, it will not happen later than the second half of this year.”

Despite not having made their formal debut yet, iKON has gathered a large following of fans and has already earned much recognition.

The finalized seven members of the group were determined through Mnet’s survival program “MIX & MATCH” last year, and since then, member Bobby has made his name known through his appearance on rap competition “Show Me the Money 3.”

They are models for NEPA so their photoshoot will feature their clothes. The High Cut photos and videos will also be released via the High Cut app on the 18th...are we ready for iKON?!

Boy group VIXX‘s member Ken will be releasing a solo single.

On June 17, a representative from the group’s agency Jellyfish Entertainment told media outlet MBN Star that “VIXX Ken will be releasing a project single on June 24,” and further added, “promotion for the single hasn’t been determined yet.”

According to the singer’s agency, this project single will be a song perfect for the summer, and befitting Ken’s personality.

Ken’s group VIXX’s last promotion as a group was in February, with single “Love Equation.” Ken will also be partaking in the upcoming production of musical “Chess,” which will run from June 19 until July 19.

SM Entertainment has announced the release of EXO’s latest merchandise, Paper Toy, generating a lot of buzz as Tao has been included.

On June 17th, SM Entertainment revealed EXO’s Paper Toy, which consists of paper figures for each of the group members. Upon hearing the news, fans were quick to note that, despite currently promoting with only nine members and the uncertainty surrounding his status, Tao has been included as a member.

The news was revealed on EXO-M’s official Weibo account, garnering criticisms against the agency for its latest decision and posting:

Recently, Mutzine writer Ki-eun Peck dug into Primary’s latest music video, “Mannequin.”
Though the video satirizes consumerism in South Korea, it also does something we haven’t seen before — it explicitly showcases the work of five Korean fashion designers. As discussed in Ki-eun’s article, the streets of Garosu-gil depicted in “Mannequin” have a notably Western feel. Yet the YG K-plus models standing in as the mannequins of the Primary Boutique are wearing the latest and greatest fashions coming right out of Seoul.

KBS bans AOA’s “Chocolate” and SEVENTEEN’s “Ah Yeah” from broadcast

Broadcasting channel KBS has been revealed to have banned songs by AOA and SEVENTEEN, deeming them unfit to air on broadcast.

On June 17th, KBS deliberated that AOA’s track “Chocolate” from their upcoming 3rd mini-album Heart Attack was not fit to be broadcast due to the use of vulgar, profanity, and abusive language.

For rookie group SEVENTEEN’s “Ah Yeah,” Pippi Band‘s “Robot Ganadaramabasa,” and Verbal Jint & Sanchez‘s “Hate,” they were not eligible for broadcast due to the mention of certain product names.

Other tracks banned from broadcast include four of indie artist Yeonnamdong Dumb&Dumber‘s tracks as well as their title track “Good Boy,” EVO‘s “Today & Tomorrow,” Mashup‘s “Struggle,” Soundbox‘s “Music Is My Everything,” Geonadeul‘s “Fantasy Namiseom Island,” and PATiENTS‘ “Hybrid Future.”

AOA is set to make a comeback on June 22nd while SEVENTEEN is currently promoting their debut track “Adore U.”

Parris Goebel Shares About Working on BIGBANG’s “BANG BANG BANG”

On June 16, media outlet Kpop Starz released an interview with star choreographer and dancer Parris Goebel, during which she recalled her work on BIGBANG‘s “BANG BANG BANG.”

She describes about her creative process behind her choreography for the song and talks about how it was working with the group, “I played the song and I found inspiration through the music. Then, I literally interpreted the lyrics of the song. It took three days to instruct the dancers. All of the five guys in BIGBANG are great and fun to work with.”

With regards to the provocative scene where she and G-Dragon are chained together by the neck, Goebel says, “Creatively it was so much fun. We were chained together by the neck to show we are connected together. That was an idea from G-Dragon, which I thought rocked.”




She also comments on her past work with Taeyang on “RINGA LINGA,” “Taeyang is awesome. We have become really good friends. He watched a video clip that I released called ‘I Love Cali Boys‘ and he was inspired by what he saw. Afterward, he reached out to me to work with him..”

“I obviously like K-pop. That is why I choose to work with the artists. I am happy to continue working with YG Entertainment,” Goebel adds.

Meanwhile, Goebel will be touring globally with Janet Jackson next month.

Girls' Generation to Appear on "Running Man" & Possibly Get Own Reality Show

It has been reported that Girls’ Generation is starting the countdown to their highly-anticipated July comeback by confirming their guest appearances on a number of different variety shows.

According to Sports DongA on June 18, the members of Girls’ Generation will be taking part in a filming for SBS’ “Running Man” this coming June 23. This is said to be the group’s first time guesting on the show in about four years since 2011.

It is also said that the members are currently in discussion with cable channel OnStyle to participate in their very own reality-variety program, similar to the format of TaeTiSeo’s “The TaeTiSeo.”

The report also states that each of the members are planning to actively make individual appearances on variety shows. On June 17, Yuri took part in the recording of the swimming special of KBS’ “Our Neighborhood Sports.” On the other hand, Tiffany is currently hosting Mnet’s fashion and beauty program “Heart a Tag.”

After returning from Thailand, where the group filmed for their brand new music video, they have been busy with the final stages of comeback preparations.
