iKON To Finally Debut? Preview for iKON in July's High Cut

YG Entertainment boy group iKON has graced the cover of celebrity magazine High Cut even before their official debut.

On June 17, the magazine released a sneak peek into their cover story featuring the yet-to-debut boy group. In the pictures, the members of the group show off their charismatic charm, dressed in fashionable, hip hop-inspired outfits.

During the interview that took place after the photo shoot, when the interviewer asked the group what kind of music they will be presenting, B.I answered, “It will definitely be good music. We are constantly thinking about what kind of performance we will show with that music as well.” Another member Kim Dong Hyuk also added, “I think we will be able to show you on stage why it took so long for us to debut.”

The full photo shoot and the interview with iKON will be revealed in the upcoming issue of High Cut, which will be released on June 18.







YG Entertainment has confirmed iKON as the next group to come out following BIGBANG!

According to a music industry insider on June 17, the agency has recently decided to release iKON for their official debut around the time that BIGBANG wraps up their ‘MADE’ comeback project this September.

This source stated, “iKON has made over 50 songs in preparation for their official debut. iKON will take their first step into the music industry by officially releasing their debut track as early as the end of August.”

On June 17, a representative of YGE shared, “iKON has their debut ahead of them in late-August. While the exact time frame is subject to change, it will not happen later than the second half of this year.”

Despite not having made their formal debut yet, iKON has gathered a large following of fans and has already earned much recognition.

The finalized seven members of the group were determined through Mnet’s survival program “MIX & MATCH” last year, and since then, member Bobby has made his name known through his appearance on rap competition “Show Me the Money 3.”

They are models for NEPA so their photoshoot will feature their clothes. The High Cut photos and videos will also be released via the High Cut app on the 18th...are we ready for iKON?!

I've been thinking this for a while, but I think that Starship did a good thing by having no.mercy, because they were then able to debut the group right after the show and not have to compete with ikon or anything, and even maybe swoop in and steal some impatient fans away from YG. Like, Monsta X for me has been kind of an accidental stanning while I waited for iKON to debut, so, thanks YG. If it wasn't for iKON taking 10 yrs to debut, I probably wouldn't have checked no.mercy out. :P

I'll believe iKON has debuted when I see the MV and their debut stages. No sooner.
