On the February 14 episode of KBS 2TV‘s “Immortal Song,” which was the late Lee Young Hoon special, Moon Byul says that her management company told her to be careful about her huge laugh.

Newly debuted girl group GFRIEND sat down with Xports News on February 13 for an exclusive interview.

The group debuted last month with the single "Glass Bead," and has since been gathering interest from domestic and international K-pop fans alike.

As the interview kicked off, member Sowon stated, "These days we only get about 4 hours of sleep each night. Even though we're tired, it's fascinating to be doing our own song and our own choreography."

GFRIEND's debut has been frequently compared to that of Girls' Generation due to the similarities in the concept, choreography, and sound of their song.

Girl’s Day’s Sojin Shares Her Thoughts on Being a Girl Group Member in Her 30s

Girl’s Day’s Sojin, who recently confessed of turning 30 (Korean age) this year in TV show “Running Man,” shared her thoughts on being one of the older girls in the industry.

During an interview, she showed confidence as a leader of Girl’s Day saying, “It’s a time that a lot of people will have to face eventually, and I am the same. It doesn’t feel particularly weird being in a girl group as a thirty-year-old. I just think of myself as a member of six years old girl group.” She then added, “Last year, I appeared on KBS2‘s ‘Hello Counselor‘ and said I was worried about being 29 years old. At the time it seemed like a big issue. Now that I think about it, there is nothing so special about [being older].”

When asked whether she was worried about her skin or physical strength, she laughed and said, “I’ve been exercising to be physically fit since years ago, and I inherited nice skin from my mom.”

The interviewer then asked Sojin how long she will be in a girl group. She responded, “It’s not something I can answer easily. Not only do I have to consider my situations, I have to consider others around me. It’d be great to be loved and stay together with my fans and members for a long time.”

BIGBANG, WINNER, and iKON to make releases a month after one another

YG Entertainment’s CEO Yang Hyun Suk has just revealed in a statement that all three groups among BIGBANG, WINNER, and iKON will be making their comebacks and debut consecutively one after the other in the first half of this year.

On February 15th, Yang Hyun Suk told TV Report that, “BIGBANG’s comeback is currently planned to be released sometime in April. For now we are planning on April at the latest and we will make their comeback sooner if possible, but there definitely will not be a need to postpone it.

“Following BIGBANG’s comeback are their juniors waiting in line. All three teams will be coming out in one month intervals. I guess you can think of it as the older brothers kicking off first before their younger brothers,” CEO Yang stated.

4MINUTE Kwon So Hyun opened up about plastic surgery on MBC’s “Quiz to Change the World,” which aired on February 14.

When asked whether she received any plastic surgery advice, she replies, “At first, our agency said that looks were not that important for a performance group. However, after first appearing on camera, we decided to receive some consulting and proceed through the process.”


Seo Jang Hoon especially took great interest in her process to plastic surgery, further inquiring on whether or not she made any changes to her face. Shin Dong Yup, one of the MC’s of the show, asked, “You had double eyelid surgery, didn’t you?”

After hesitating a bit, Kwon So Hyun honestly replied, “I had inner double eyelids.”

Kim Gu Ra, another MC, complimented her looks, saying, “Your high cheekbones are very attractive.”

This episode of “Quiz to Change the World” starred the MCs Shin Dong Yup, Kim Gu Ra, Yook Joong Wan, Seo Jang Hoon, and guests such as comedians Paeng Hyun Sook, Kim Soo Yong, Kim Sook, Ji Sang Ryul, Kim Tae Hyun, singers Jo Jung Chi, BEAST’s Son Dong Woon, 4Minute’s Kwon So Hyun, and composer Don Spike.

M.I.B’s Kangnam has revealed a few stories of hardship that he and his members endured through during their trainee days, one of which had to do with a time he helped produce a song that eventually went to another artist, but was not credited for.
During the recording of JTBC’s Inside Story Salon, when the cast members were talking about the question of the day, “When did you feel like you were being pushed over the most?“, Kangnam talked about the time he and his fellow M.I.B members built a recording studio by hand when they were trainees.
