On December 9th, rumors about EXO-M‘s Tao planning to nullify his contract with SM Entertainment and returning to China spread through Chinese social media site Weibo, leading to much speculation about the rapper’s future career.This rumor follows the actions of former EXO-M members Kris (Wu Yifan) andLuhan, both of whom filed lawsuits against SM Entertainment for contract nullification earlier this year. The rumors were posted through the Weibo verified accounts of several entertainment industry critics.
One critic, 麻辣婊哥, posted: “Huang Zitao is going to nullify his contract and return to China.” Soon after, another critic, 八哥专用, also posted a message along a similar line: “This group is considered to be facing a bottleneck; they are facing a regrouping issue. SM is grooming a new group and won’t put too much effort into EXO; EXO’s peak has already past.”
Both users have hundreds of thousands of followers on Weibo, with verified accounts and are publicly known to the Chinese audience. These posts caught the attention of many fans, garnering over 6,000 comments and reblogs and causing a lot of commotion among EXO-L.
SM Entertainment has yet to respond to these rumors and netizens have been pointing out that these rumors could be an effort just to stir up commotion.

2NE1 will be performing at this year’s SBS Gayo Daejun, according to a report by Star News.
On December 10, an anonymous 2NE1 affiliate stated to Star News that the girl group is preparing for their Gayo Daejun performance. “They [2NE1] are currently discussing the details of their performance with the producers.”
However, it seems that member Park Bom’s appearance with the rest of her members is still undecided, even “unlikely,” in the words Star News’ source, as a result of Park Bom’s drug scandal from earlier this year regarding an incident from 2010 in which Park Bom was stopped while bringing amphetamines into Korea. Following the scandal, the 2NE1 member left the variety show “Roommate.”

With the returning popularity of EXID’s “Up & Down,” originally released in August 2014, some Korean weekly music shows are finding themselves in a bind as the track aims for 1st place.
MBC Music Core, however, is still undecided and are currently discussing if EXID should be awarded a trophy should they reach first place on their show.
Over the last weekend, EXID’s “Up & Down” reflected their rise on online charts, and could be found in 7th place on Music Bank on the December 5th broadcasting. Between the November 29th and December 6th episode of Music Core, “Up & Down” jumped from 38th to 8th place in seven days! Therefore, their rise to 1st place on the upcoming December 13th episode of Music Core is very possible.
Regarding music shows’ chart rankings, they take account a general criteria: albums sold, song downloads, SNS votes, and broadcast votes. With the regained popularity of “Up & Down,” it seems very feasible for EXID to hit #1 in the music shows, excluding Inkigayo due to its 10-week policy.
Should EXID reach 1st place on any of the music programs, they will be the first group to”take the longest time (four months) to reach #1.” The girl group is already the first to go on a second round of promotions for the same song.

On November 14, 2014 an announcement was made to GI's official fan forum that Hayun had left the group in August of that year.
A statement uploaded to the forum read:
More mysterious information, bothering the fans for GI for quite some time, has been revealed. Unfortunately, it’s more heartbreaking news that the fans of the boyish girl group, GI, must face. Hayun is no longer a member of GI. In addition to her missing, fans got a mysterious hint which made most of them worried about the member (Hayun), but also worried for the entire group.
It’s sad, that after only a year since GI’s debut, the fans are faced with two members leaving the group (the youngest member, Aram, having left in April and the oldest member, Hayun, breaking ties in August).
However, we think that Hayun’s departure from the group was already planned, but for some reason was postponed for a while. Why do we think this may have been the case? We’ve compiled a list of evidence to support our reasoning.
On the 2nd of May, GI had a meeting at the Korea Tourism Organization. Unfortunately, Aram and Hayun were both absent. SimTong Entertainment said that the two girls were not there due to “personal issues.” At the end of May, the girls performed in Gayo Sidae as four, Hayun had reappeared. Also in May, when GI got a Demisoda CF thanks to OneKet’s victory on Idol Dance Battle D-Style, only OneKet, Eunji, and AI were included in the CF. We could say that Hayun was missing because the members of the other group also had to appear in the CF, but even if that’s the case – why would SimTong choose only these three again?
At the end of June, GI performed on Muchangpo Beach Opening Ceremony with two unknown girls (seen in a photo that Hayun had posted on Twitter previously). Then, from the middle of July until the end of that month, GI performed as a 4-member group every day in Kangwon Land. And, just a few days after the shows finished, Hayun disappeared.
On the 15th of August, it was noticed that Hayun changed her name on Twitter – she deleted “GI,” which had been at the beginning of her real name.
It was also noticed that she had changed her Instagram username for the 3rd time (dimplegirlhayeon → hayeonhello → ha_yeon1217). Since that day, she was pretty inactive. Her last message on Twitter was posted on the 31st of July, after the last performance in Kangwon Land. However, she still managed to reply to some of her fans between the 1st and 9th of August.
On the 20th of August, 5 days after GI’s 500th Day Anniversary, a photo was posted on GI’s official Twitter and OneKet’s personal Instagram of the girls holding a gift from GI International. The only problem was that the only members in the photo were OneKet, Eunji, and AI. Hayun was absent.
People started getting even more worried, but did not suspect that Hayun’s absence could be a big deal until the 31st of August, when GI performed on Pocari Sweat Blue Road Campaign Fighting Concert. At this concert, they performed with the two unknown girls we had already seen, but Hayun was once again missing and did not perform with them.
In addition, on the 9th of October, when AI posted a photo on Twitter mentioning the members of GI – Hayun was not mentioned, only Eunji and OneKet. It was another hint, but this time it was a big hint that Hayun was really gone, just like Aram.
It had been awhile since Hayun disappeared suddenly from social media. She’s always had a lack of skills when it came to using Twitter, but this time her disappearance was for an abnormally long amount of time.
No one knew what was going on with her until the middle of October when she uploaded two photos to her Instagram account on the 13th and 15th. She didn’t mention anything about GI in her posts. Even when using hashtags, she still did not use anything that was related to GI.
At this time, SimTong hasn’t released any official statements regarding this current situation, same as they did when Aram left. However, as the GI International Fanclub (who always wants the fans to know what is going on with GI), we did our best to find the truth.
On the 30th of October, we were able to get information straight from Hayun. It was with a lot of sadness that she let us in on the disappointing news, “I’m not a member of GI anymore,” she said. At the end of the conversation she added, "I'm sorry, but I'm not able to talk about the details of the case, nor the reasons for why I'm not in GI any longer. Always, thank you so much for your care and support which I've received from you".
There are too many questions without any answers and we will probably never find out the truth of what really happened. GI’s future is really questionable at this point in time. The girls had their first and last comeback over a year ago (3 September 2013) followed by a short promotion in Japan, but after their return in the beginning of April, they barely attended any shows throughout 2014. [...] Even if it seems like they are training again based on the photos that have been uploaded by the three original members (Eunji, OneKet, & AI), we can’t be sure if it’s training for an upcoming comeback or maybe just another show that GI will appear on as guests.

Let’s hope we will see GI on stage again soon, as a strong group that has overcome a lot of difficulties that happened throughout this year. Don’t stop supporting them! It’s a really hard time for them, so please try to cheer for them even more than usual.

I'm seeing a lot of fans blaming this (and the group's decline in general) on Aram, as apparently she said or did some things that made fans dislike her? Quite a few fans have been saying that since the "most talented" members have left, the group should just disband. It's also strange that there's been no official statement from Simtong, but they're uploading photos to Twitter of OneKet, AI and Eunji and referring to them as GI, so I guess the new members didn't work out? I know they (the newbies) were getting a lot of hate for not even pretending to not be lip syncing during their live performances. (Also, one of the "new members" was allegedly someone who got cut pre-debut?) Whatever it is, it's a huge mess. Edited to add the other credits and tidy the notes, sorry!

A few days ago, a mysterious teaser for the show was revealed through YouTube, hinting at a brand new season. It has been said that SISTAR was recently chosen as the next group in line for MBC Every1’s idol reality program “Showtime.” The report states that the four members of the group are currently gearing up to begin filming for their very own reality show.
A representative of the show revealed to Newsen, “SISTAR has been selected as the new group for “Showtime” season 4. It will be a program on which you can see SISTAR’s honest side.”
The group has continued to receive love for their carefree and honest personalities, which is raising fans’ expectations for what they will bring to the show. The new season is expected to air in January of 2015.
Previous seasons of “Showtime” starred groups EXO, BEAST, as well as A Pink. The format of the show consists of directly answering the questions of their fans through various missions that they are asked to accomplish.

Hip-hop musician and Troy member Bumkey has reportedly been arrest by the Seoul police’s narcotics management department on December 11th.
In early October, police began investigating a drug case after discovering Bumkey had given an acquaintance psychoactive drugs. However, he was not under any suspicion of drug use after a urination and hair drug test came back negative.
Upon further examination and questioning arrested drug users and tracking their money from bank accounts, police has pointed towards Bumkey as the middle man, immediately requesting an arrest warrant for the artist.
Bumkey has denied all accusations and is expressing his frustration at the situation.
A personnel from Bumkey’s entertainment, BrandNew Music, said “We are confirming facts at the moment and will make a statement as soon as we have.”
Bumkey is currently being held in a detention center and will be present at his second hearing on the afternoon of December 11th KST.

Sunye has officially confirmed her retirement from the entertainment industry and Wonder Girls, in a new interview with Joongang Ilbo‘s US branch at a non-profit church concert.
In a new interview that has surfaced, Sunye revealed in an exclusive statement, “Return to the entertainment industry? That won’t ever happen!” The article, titled “The emptiness of popularity, I wish to spend my life resolving myself through the gospel and in Jesus,” goes into detail of the artist dedicating her life to missionary work.

JYJ‘s Junsu is involved in a financial issue regarding the construction of his luxury hotel on Jeju Island.
Jeju Island’s paper Jeju Citizen Daily reported on December 10, “JYJ’s Junsu has been sued for not paying back some of the costs of construction on the 28 billion won luxury hotel.”
They continued, “We are expecting further lawsuit in court, and if he loses his case, he will have to repay over 5 billion won (approximately $4.5 million USD).”
According to the report, Junsu entrusted the construction of his hotel to two construction companies A and B from April of 2013 to August of this year. In order to pay for constructions, he borrowed money from the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation by mortgaging his hotel and the property.
However, his promissory note issued by the Korea Exchange Bank during the investment period expired, leaving Junsu with the possibility of bankruptcy. He then asked the two construction companies to lend him funds.
