SM's rookie EXO-K has already been selected as advertisement models.
As SM's newly unveiled rookie group, EXO-K has most recently been chosen as the models of school uniforms for name brand Ivy Club.
EXO-K, who will begin to be active as Ivy Club's models, garnered attention starting from their debut preparation process with their extravagant performances, singing abilities, and charming looks and are already receiving various kinds of CF and broadcast love calls.
In particular, they received the acknowledgement of their potential as up-and-coming stars as they were selected as the models of Ivy Club, which stars such as Jo Sungmo, Kim Minhee, Jang Hyuk, Moon Geunyoung, Shinhwa, Lee Yeonhee, Min Hyorin, Super Junior, Kim Yuna, Wonder Girls, and Kim Soohyun have modeled for.

Idol group B.A.P‘s impressive vocal and dance talent are not going unnoticed abroad as the group is gaining the attention of fans in Russia.
B.A.P recently made a comeback with their album titled ‘POWER‘ and the upbeat and aggressive tracks are proving to be a hit in Russia. B.A.P‘s music video for “POWER” was ranked as the 10th most popular video in Youtube’s chart for Russia and has been awarded as the “Best Foreign Clip” by Russian TOP30. Furthermore, an online fan club in Russia has been created and already has amassed over 8,000 fans!

B.A.P. is proving themselves to be definitely one of the hottest rookies of the year yet!
As of April 30th, the boys’ second single album, ‘POWER‘, has sold out its initial batch of 30,000 copies! According to Hanteo, B.A.P. rose from 4th to 5th and finally 2nd, right after Taetiseo‘s ‘Twinkle‘, on May 2nd, on Hanteo’s live chart.
On Hot Tracks, the boys actually beat out Taetiseo in sales on the daily chart, and ranked in just after Busker Busker, for May 1st.
Not only that, but the digital release of ‘POWER’ has ranked #3 in the top 10 on the iTunes Store Top 10 Hip-Hop Albums chart for the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and more. Their music video has also gained over a million views on YouTube, signifying much international interest in the group as well.
TS Entertainment expressed, “The CD hasn’t yet been distributed overseas yet so we’ve been receiving a lot of calls interested in purchasing the album. We’ve already ordered another batch.”

SNSD’s Jessica, Super Junior’s Sungmin and f(x)’s Luna recently appeared on tvN’s talk show Taxi.
On May 1, Kim Jong Hoon, the producer for the series, tweeted a picture with the comment, “We are shooting a special episode about idol stars for the program. Please watch the episode, which will air on May 17 at 12:10 in the afternoon. Jessica, Sungmin, Luna.”
Kim also posted a picture on the show’s official Twitter account with the comment, “SNSD, Super Junior, and f(x) are gathered together! The three idols will talk honestly while riding in the taxi. Please pay attention to them.”

KARA Jiyoung‘s “meat dress” has recently become a hot topic.
On April 20th, TokyoTV‘s new drama ‘Rainbow Rose‘ released a still of Jiyoung wearing a floral pattern dress that looked a little too close to a cut of raw marbled meat. The maknae of KARA is shown wearing the unique dress with various cups and plates attached.
This concept is receiving further interest for following the meat dress that Lady Gaga has worn in the past.
Fans commented, “This is definitely Lady Gaga’s fashion,” “What could the concept have been for her to wear such a dress?” and “The dress suits her well.”

TVXQ‘s Changmin revealed that he would like to replace Cho Kyuhyun as a new member of Super Junior.
During a recording for MBC‘s ‘Joo Byung Jin’s Talk Concert‘, Hallyu idols TVXQ, Super Junior, and Girls’ Generation guest-featured to film a special MT episode.
The members went around introducing themselves to everyone else, and Changmin introduced himself as a ‘visual artist’, continuing to boast about his appearance in a Japanese movie.
Leeteuk then revealed that Changmin often walks by the Super Junior rehearsal studio to peek in, looking extremely envious. Changmin was asked which member he would like to replace if he were to become a member of Super Junior.
With no hesitation whatsoever, Changmin answered, “I would like to join Super Junior by replacing Kyuhyun who is my friend, and easy to deal with,” causing everyone to explode into laughs.
The episode airs on May 3rd at 11:15PM KST.

SINGAPORE (AP) — Korean entertainer Kim Hyun-joong plans to kick off his "2012 Asia Fan Meeting Tour" by high-fiving all 3,000 people expected to turn up — a first for a pop star visiting Singapore.
Event organizer "Running Into The Sun" said the original plan was for Kim to high-five 500 fans selected from the audience but Kim was insisting on high-fiving everyone.
"I know it's not going to be easy and I hope that even if it is a really short moment of high-five, the fans would know how much I appreciate their effort and support," he said.
He will meet his fans at the stadium exit after the event ends.
Kim told The Associated Press on Thursday he's confident security won't be an issue.
The tour that starts Friday includes Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and Thailand. Organizers say Kim will high-five everyone at fan events in Hong Kong and Taiwan, too.
Kim is part of the boy band SS501 and became hugely popular across Asia after appearing in the 2009 Korean TV drama "Boys Over Flowers."
His solo debut album, "Break Down," was released in 2011.

Wonder Girls' member Sohee is receiving attention for her growth process through the years.
On May 2, a collection of Sohee's pictures was posted on an online community site. These pictures included younger pictures of the singer as well as some current ones.
She is especially receiving attention in that her past photos are not that different from her current image. It seems as if the singer has always had big, single-eyelid eyes, cute cheek fat, and a small face.
In addition, her kindergarten photo showed her cute face that had a lot of people turning heads. Furthermore, in her picture taken during movie "I Like it Hot" we can see her thin limbs and slim figure, forecasting her perfect body today.

Before their performance at the festival, a video of the group arriving at Haneda Airport already showed a heavy response from Japanese fans. When the group later performed at the arena, however, it was revealed that of an estimated amount of 10,000 fans, more than 6,000 were there to watch Supernova.
Though the group's popularity in Japan is well-known, even the organizers of the music show were surprised as they didn't expect such a big amount of people to show up. The show's producer stated "there are almost 10,000 number of fans in Saitama arena, and I can say that about 6,000 fans came here for Supernova. That is 2/3 of the total number. The fans singing along during the group’s performance was amazing." Fans of Supernova, grouped in Japan under the fan club name of "Milky Way", were seen to be waving their light sticks to the performances of the group, lighting up the arena with their star-shaped blue-colored lights.

Singer Baek Ji Young has released a new teaser poster ahead of the release of her upcoming dance mini-album!
The poster is a teaser for Voice, a track off of the mini-album. Hidden behind the letter V, Baek Ji Young is seen biting her bottom lip while dressed up sporting crimped hair.
Representatives of her agency explained, "Voice is a groovy song of the R&B type with powerful beats and emotional melodies. Fans will definitely be able to feel Baek Ji Young's new color through it. Please look forward to the featuring as well."

His truck rammed a van which was following the women cyclists with their coach inside and pushed it into the trio. They were killed on the spot and four other people were seriously injured.
"Although the law bans drivers from watching television while driving, there isn't any [specific] penalty when caught, so we can't do anything about it," a Euiseong police spokesman told AFP.
Offenders can, however, be charged with other road traffic offenses if they cause an accident while watching the screen.
A total of 5,505 people were killed in 226,878 auto accidents in South Korea in 2010, the Korea Transportation Safety Authority said.

A new report on North Korea's notorious political prison camps shows that many of those jailed in recent decades were desperate people seeking food or work overseas rather than dissidents.
Other offences were even more trivial, it says: one female former student was serving a term for having a western-style dance with a foreigner, another student was incarcerated for singing a South Korean song.
An entire family was thrown into a camp after the father forgot to refer to the state's late founder Kim Il-Sung as "Great Leader" during an ideological session.
The report by the South's National Human Rights Commission, a state-appointed body, is its most detailed investigation of human rights abuses in the communist state.

In an American magazine, Wonder Girls member Yoobin's name came up in the list of "The 25 Sexiest Musicians Under 25."
Last month, Complex Music released a chart of "The 25 Sexiest Musicians Under 25" and Korea's very own Yoobin placed 20th in the chart. Complex Music stated Yoobin was the replacement of Hyuna, the previous member of Wonder Girls, who came in as a rapper and participated in writing lyrics for their songs.
In this chart, other famous singers such as Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and many more were included. In number one place was famous R&B singer Rihanna. Wonder Girls' Yoobin was the only Korean singer to place on the chart.
Wonder Girls' Yoobin has been getting compliments on being sexy even after entering the American music market in 2009.

Wonder Girls is planning to make a comeback early June.
According to entertainment industry representatives Wonder Girls is to release a new mini-album as early as the beginning of June. This is rather a relatively quick comeback only after 7 months since the release of their second studio album title track ‘Be My Baby’ released last November. It’s been reported that the majority new album tracks have finished recording except for the title track.
It seems that Wonder Girls will attempt a transformation in their music style in the title track. The girls that became a groundbreaking sensation through their hit songs of ‘Tell Me,’ ‘So Hot,’ ‘Nobody,’ ‘2 Different Tears,’ and ‘Be My Baby’ have sung more of retro melody and addictive tunes is now predicted by music representatives to comeback with a new song that is more intense sounds. It’s reported that the girls are preparing for a more powerful dance song that will blow away the summer heat.
Apart from Korea’s comeback the Wonder Girls preparation for the release of the US album is also moving along smoothly. Recently JYP posted on his Twitter, “Wonder Girls 12 song US album completed. We started to work on producing another Korean album as well,” indicating Wonder Girls imminent comeback.
