Moderation is key. Too much make-up is over-powering, rather than a natural look, for women. A prime example will be T-ara's Qri.
T-ara's single Yayaya has an Indian girl concept and gained much attention recently. Facial features being overshadowed by too much make-up looks overdone, and the latest victim seems to be Qri.
Qri likes taking photos of herself and uploading it to her mini homepage. But it seems Qri has been using this type of heavy make-up each day.
Usually stars use extreme amounts of make-up to look younger, but for Qri it's having an opposite effect and she doesn't even look her age (24) anymore.

Rookie singer, Ballerino, announced that he will have his debut single released digitally. The company Old Time Entertainment said that Ballerino had the lead role in the musical "if you love than dance" for six years. His digital single called "Journal/Memorandum*" is now available online.
Ballerino is known for being a guest with TVXQ's U-know Yunho on the popular show "Xman" to sing his self-composed song "Spokesman".

Weeks ahead of the concert, the group's recording label, SM Entertainment Inc., placed a video of the Japanese-language song on YouTube and allowed fans to copy and re-post it on any website, driving radio requests and online chatter.
It was part of SM's new online video strategy. Last year, instead of hosting its videos itself, it began distributing video of its acts on Google Inc.'s YouTube and using the service's copyright detection technology to block illegally uploaded video and sell ads against its own authorized clips. Its two biggest competitors in South Korea, YG Entertainment and JYP Productions, and about two dozen smaller labels have done the same thing.

12 Indicted for Libeling Tablo

The Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office on Thursday said it has indicted 12 people for spreading false rumors on the Internet that Tablo of the hip-hop group Epik High faked his academic credentials.
Prosecutors offered rewards for the capture of six people who either live overseas, including the 57-year-old operator of a website that posted the rumors, or whose identities could not be verified. Indictments were suspended for two others since they were minors.
They have been charged with libel for posting claims on the Internet website that Tablo fabricated his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stanford University and claimed that his family had also lied about their achievements. Most of the indicted individuals are office workers between 20 to 40, and two are doctors.

Actor-couple Lee Chun Hee (31) and Jun Hye Jin (22) have finally revealed their wedding date!
It has also been revealed that Jun Hye Jin will be moving into Lee Chun Hee’s home in Seoul Gangnam, where he is currently living with his parents.
However, due to the fact that Jun Hye Jin is currently two months pregnant, it is not certain whether they will go on a honeymoon or not; but it seems as if Lee Chun Hee will be taking a break as soon as the filming for MBC’s drama “Gloria” ends this month.

4Minute, including other co-CUBE Entertainment artists such as BEAST and G.NA, had just finished a successful concert in Malaysia yesterday. However, behind the girls' energetic and fierce performance for the concert, was the unknown condition of 4Minute's Leader, Nam Jihyun, as she has been reportedly suffering from bad health conditions even before they went to Malaysia.
A staff from CUBE said that she started this New Year while gravely suffering from severe colds. It also seemed like her condition got worst the moment they went to Malaysia as her body had a hard time adjusting to the changing weather temperature as they transferred from South Korea to Malaysia. He also said that Jihyun is currently getting some treatments and is trying her best to feel better as soon as possible.
CUBE's representative also revealed that they already recommended Jihyun to take a break with her family to avoid further harm on her health; however, she still insisted on finishing all her responsibilities for she was also worried for the group's performance and enforced that she has to finish what the group has committed of doing.
Meanwhile, the girls of 4Minute are also in their preparations for their upcoming comeback.

Soon after the song’s release, CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa’s “For First-Time Lovers (Subtitle: ‘Banmal Song’)” has even been beating out Hyun Bin’s “That Man” on various Korean music charts.
On January 14th, Yonghwa’s self-composed “For First-Time Lovers” was released, and it has claimed the number one spot on the real time music charts for Cyworld, Bugs, Soribada, Daum, Naver, and Mnet. While Hyun Bin’s “Secret Garden” OST track, “That Man”, and IU’s “Someday” had maintained strong holds on the top spots of the aforementioned music charts, they all lowered in ranking upon the release of Yonghwa’s song.
Meanwhile, the ‘Yongseo’ couple’s ‘Banmal Song’ UCC video on YouTube has attained nearly 2.5 million views since its release in late December.

Piggy Dolls have become a topic of much discussion, only this time it’s because of their ages.
After it was revealed that the average age of the group was 19 years old, netizens from various community boards dropped their jaws in shock, leaving comments like, “They look like they’re in their late 20’s, they’re younger than I thought,” “How could they be younger than IU?,” and “Maybe it’s because they’re overweight, they look a lot older.”
The maknae of the group, Park Ji Eun, was born in 1994 and is currently a sophomore in high school. Kim Min Sun and Lee Jiyeon were both born in 1991.
Their agency explained, “It is true that the members average an age of 19. They look older than their age, yes, but we’re confident that their passion for music is greater than anyone else’s. Please look forward to their promotions.”

Injured member Eunjung returns on stage at KBS2TV's Music Bank. She performed Yayaya with the other 6 members.
At the end of last year, on December 26th, it was reported that Eunjung injured her left knee, specifically her ligament. On her way to her schedule, she hurt herself because of the slippery ice, and was sent to the hospital. Wanting to return on the same day, she tried going back but was met with even more pain.
The doctors have examined Eunjung and released the statement that she needs a total of 4 weeks to fully recover, and she needed a leg cast.
However, Core Contents Media said, "Eunjung has recovered quickly and the initial 2 weeks of recovery went well. She is now 80% healed."

Shinhwa member Kim Dong Wan has made his first variety show appearance after military discharge.
Kim Dong Wan recently conducted the KBS 2TV show "Top Marks" where he met idols from the same generation.
He met first generation of idols such as, HOT Tony An, Sechs Kies Eun Ji Won, GOD Kim Tae Woo, Baby VOX Kan Mi Yeong and, Kim Dong Wan representing Shinhwa, together spent a great moment. Kim Dong Wan performed Shinhwa's "Eusha Eusha" dance on the red carpet where he didn't seem rusted on his dance moves and also demostrated a great sense of entertainment.
Kim Dong Wan entertained the younger generation with a colored and witty atmosphere. The juniors had to pass an eliminating round and at the end Kim Dong Wan will unfold the final winner.
The junior elimination along with Kim Dong Wan and final winner selection will be air on January 15, at 5:15 pm on "TOP Marks".

Along with the picture, she tweeted: "During our filming..... ♥ Malaysia annyeong!"
4Minute took this shot from a premiere shopping street in Malaysia. The girls decided to take a wacky, silly picture that would show their cute personalities. As you can see, 4Minute's leader, Nam Jihyun, who's the tallest among the them, raised her arms, resulting to HyunA posing with her knees bent, hiding half of her face showing a comic expression as she placed her face near Jihyun's underarms. It's also noticeable how Gayoon made a funny-expression too which somehow relates to Jihyun's underarms as well.
From that picture, fans commented:

After a myriad of delays, fans of Jewelry have been patiently waiting for their comeback for quite some time now. Yesterday, it was reported that the girls would make their comeback later this month.
With existing members Kim Eun Jung and Ha Ju Won, Park Semi of “Superstar K Season 1″ and another new member, interest has been high for this “new” version of group. Recently, sportsseoul caught a glimpse of the group while they were out shopping. Despite the freezing temperatures (14ºF / -10ºC), the girls were seen looking very fashionable wearing mini skirts and high heels.

Although the “Idol Star Athletic Championships” are immersed in a controversy over its swimming addition, it’s not stopping the girls of Rainbow from preparing something special for the event.
Rainbow is planning to show off their synchronized swimming skills, and they’ve enlisted the help of a professional coach!
A representative of their entertainment company revealed, “As the ‘Idol Star Athletics Swimming Championships’ are not too far away, the Rainbow members have decided to go with synchronized swimming in order to show a new side to themselves to the viewers and fans. In order to do this, the Rainbow members borrowed an indoor swimming pool and are practicing hard with their coach Lee Hyun Ae, who is both a former synchronizer and a member of the national team.”
Rainbow is being trained twice a week, and are practicing hard for the show’s recording, which is scheduled for the 30th of this month.

KARA has become the first ever Korean girl group to sell 250,000 albums in Japan!
According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ), the girls’ first official Japanese album, “
Girl’s Talk,” was certified platinum on January 14th. The album was released in November of last year, and recorded tremendous achievements within its first week of release, as it sold 100,000 copies. The album made KARA the first international female group to hit the mark after seven years, and they’ve ranked on the Oricon top 10 for a total of seven weeks.
“Girl’s Talk” is still selling well, and it’s expected that the girls will reach 300,000 in sales very soon. Their other singles, “Mister” and “Jumping“, have both reached ‘gold’ easily selling 100,000 units as well. Indeed, KARA’s “Mister” single reached platinum in digital sales with 250,000 downloads late last year.

After the broadcast of the drama “Utsukushii Rinjin” (Beautiful Neighbor) they decided to give out 5,000 free ChakuUtas (ringtones) of the theme song; DBSK’s “Why? (Keep Your Head Down)”. They announced that 2 minutes after the distribution began, they reached their quota and had to end it.
This year, Yunho and Changmin are re-starting DBSK’s activities by doing the theme song for this drama which is on during prime time, the first time DBSK has done a song for prime time television. The ratings for the show were 14.3% and 17.7% in the Kansai region (southwest Japan). They are also releasing the same song in Korea and when they began distributing it, it took down a server for a bit. You can see identical excitement in both countries.
This single will be released on the 26th. After a long time, DBSK will be performing in front of their Japanese fans on the 25th and 26th at “SMTOWN LIVE in TOKYO”.

Singer IU has officially ended promotions for ‘Good Day.’
IU had her final performances starting with KBS ‘Music Bank’ on the 14th, MBC ‘Music Core’ on the 15th, and SBS ‘Inkigayo’ on the 16th.
Meeting with reporters on the 14th, IU stated “when I look back, the 5 weeks were like a dream” and “It still hasn’t sunken it. It was truthfully a very short promotion period, but I believe I was able to showcase all that I had prepared.” IU also expressed that “due to the overlapping schedules between ‘Dream High,’ performances, and variety shows, it’s true that my health was beginning to decline” and “I hope for everyone’s understanding as to why I had to end my promotions early.”
IU also revealed “after the drama filming comes to an end, I’ll be following up with a second single. I will be showing a completely different side of me.”
Since the end of last year, IU achieved instant fame with her song ‘Good Day’, which topped all the charts for many weeks.

IU had an interview about her acting debut on the drama Dream High. When asked what she felt about it, she said, “Everything is new and amazing. It’s my first time doing a lot of things, and I have a lot of fun doing it. I think it’s especially because my character is a very interesting character. I have a lot of fun getting to know her. Korean boy band JYJ's collection of songs, essays and photographs titled "Their Rooms" has swept the top spot on best-seller lists of major online bookstores since pre-orders began on Jan. 3.
Formed by three former members of TVXQ -- Jae-joong, Yu-chun and Jun-su -- JYJ have proved themselves a pop culture phenomenon. In addition to conquering the publishing market, the band's global debut album "The Beginning" racked up 520,000 pre-orders ahead of its release in October last year.
"Their Rooms" contains six new songs written by the trio, including "Mission," "Pierrot" and "Fallen Leaves" which they sang at their Worldwide Concert in Seoul last month. It is set to be released on Monday.
