Piggy Dolls have become a topic of much discussion, only this time it’s because of their ages.

After it was revealed that the average age of the group was 19 years old, netizens from various community boards dropped their jaws in shock, leaving comments like, “They look like they’re in their late 20’s, they’re younger than I thought,” “How could they be younger than IU?,” and “Maybe it’s because they’re overweight, they look a lot older.”

The maknae of the group, Park Ji Eun, was born in 1994 and is currently a sophomore in high school. Kim Min Sun and Lee Jiyeon were both born in 1991.

Their agency explained, “It is true that the members average an age of 19. They look older than their age, yes, but we’re confident that their passion for music is greater than anyone else’s. Please look forward to their promotions.”

I'm all for big girls having confidence in themselves, but that is seriously not healthy for girls their age. I don't know why people are supporting this. Hasn't anyone seen those episodes of Maury with the 200lb children? They may be happy with themselves but there is serious risk that comes along with being that large and we don't need our children growing up in a world where being morbidly obese is acceptable. It's just as bad as the little girls starving themselves to look like SNSD.

TBH I'm surprised that they are so young. I really do think they look older. They also sound older as well...but this might just be because they can actually sing rather than squeak in cutesy voices. Whatevs, they'd be fierce regardless of their ages.

I don't think its healthy to look like that when you're this young. I'm all for people of all shapes and sizes to gain recognition in Korea but their size seems overweight-overweight as in unhealthily overweight. And it's true gaining weight does make you seem older, thats why people in a lot of asian/indian countries look younger than their age they don't consume as many calories.
