The perfect body ratio is said to be 8.5:1, and Kpop idol JYJ’s Yoochun has that exactly.

Kpop idol JYJ’s Yoochun has a perfectly proportioned body, says a community portal site, and the fact has caught the attention of netizens. Picture above gives proof. Using Yoochun’s head as a reference, the ratio came out as a height of 8.5 heads. Apparently, at a height of 180 cm, 8.5:1 is a perfect proportion that even a model cannot achieve.

After seeing the photo, fans of the Kpop celebrity expressed, “A small face set on broad shoulders, it is a very handsome body”, “He’s an idol that has ‘the golden ratio’”, “His face is so small”.

They say height and looks aren’t everything, but perfect proportions definitely help, don’t you think?

The year 2010 was the year of girl groups, with over 50 of the manufactured combos including Girls' Generation, Kara, 2NE1, and Wonder Girls competing for the top position. The trend is likely to continue and even intensify in the new year with many new groups such as Dalshabet and 5Dolls waiting in the wings.

The Chosun Ilbo selected 13 girl groups based on music portal Bugs' and KBS2 Music Bank's annual top charts at the end of last year, and analyzed their star power in five categories -- stage presence, fan loyalty, capability of each member, power of management, and performance in 2010 -- to predict what the year 2011 will be like for them. The result showed four strong powerhouses, five in the middle, and four at the weaker end.

SBS’s “Secret Garden” will air its final episode on January 16th, and for fans who aren’t quite ready to let the series go,  the producers have planned a ’special’ surprise!

On the 22nd, SBS will broadcast a special episode that contains 70-minutes of NG cuts and behind-the-scenes footage.

There’s currently two episodes left, and with rumors running rampant on the final ending, “Secret Garden” obsessors will still have plenty to look forward to, such as more OST releases, the OST concerts, and an opportunity to watch the drama with ‘Joowon’ and ‘Oska’ live.

TVXQ Says “JYJ, Come Back Quickly To Where You Belong”

Dong Bang Shin Gi’s Yunho and Changmin, JYJ’s Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu, the misunderstandings, opinions, and solutions have not been talked about. Moreover, the distance between the two groups seems to have gotten farther.

On January 12th, Dong Bang Shin Gi’s Yunho and Changmin came to Apgujeong, Seoul had an interview during the Everysing conference. At this interview, they bluntly expressed what they wanted to say to JYJ. Yunho said “I myself want them to come back quickly. Back to the place we belong.”

“I think it is because we have a period when the five of us were happy and which we treasure, that I can now be in a place like this, and because we have these memories that we can now exist as the people we are right now. When viewing the state of this battle going back and forth from a third person’s point of view, it does look ugly. That’s why, at least, we don’t want to pollute the memories that we have within us.” Changmin says.

“In reality, that doing activities with all five members is better is a truth everyone knows. It was a good thing in music, and we were able to become one unity, and when working together it is often that people’s values start to change. It’s about each individual making their choices.” Yunho said. Big Bang’s Seungri is receiving a lot of attention for his witty apology to IU’s uncle fans.

Seungri uploaded onto his me2DAY on the 13th the following message: “You are like water for my parched self… and so, I’m happy – part of Seungri 1st MiniAlbum [VVip] 5th track duet I know with IU.” Seungri was promoting his duet ‘I Know’ which he sang with IU for his upcoming first solo mini album which will be release on the 20th.

Another eye-catching part of his me2day update was the tag that Seungri himself uploaded. On this tag, he attached ‘To IU’s uncle fans, I’m sorry Please understand She’s all the rage’ and extended his apologies to all the uncle fans who care so much for IU.

Further, he caused much laughter amongst fans when he attached another tag “Her ideal type Taeyang, Seungri just a regular oppa.”

IU’s duets with 2AM Im Seulong for ‘Nagging’, and Sung Si Kyung for ‘It’s You’ received top positions on the music charts, and she’s become the most requested female singer for duets so far.

A YG representative revealed their thoughts on IU’s duet with Seungri by stating “Over 3 years ago, before IU’s debut, she had a chance encounter with Big Bang. Miss A’s Suzy made a slight mistake while MC-ing on “Music Core.”

On the episode that aired on January 15th, Suzy made the mistake of introducing SECRET as a rookie group when in fact they’re actually her seniors in the music industry.

To be specific, while she was introducing the next batch of performing artists along with T-ara’s Jiyeon, Suzy stated, “(SECRET) the emerging rookie group.”

SECRET has hit tracks like “Magic,” “Madonna,” and “Shy Boy” while debuting in 2009, making them Miss A’s seniors. However, Suzy later managed to fix her mistake by adding, “Ah, they’re not rookies.”

T-ara's Soyeon made an honest confession about being asked out by males idols.

Soyeon appeared in KBS2 "Variety School- 100 Points out of 100". When she was asked the question, "Did any male idols ask you out?" She confessed with, "3 to 4 male idols have asked me out before."

The MCs then asked her, "By chance did one of these person is from one of the group present today?". Soyeon was too embarrassed to answer to this question.

Last year, MBC gathered over 120 members of various boy and girl groups for an athletic competition during the Mid-Autumn Festival known as Chuseok. The special episode was known as the Idol Star Athletic Championships. The members competed against each other in track and field, with SM Entertainment artists winning the overall top prize. This year, MBC has announced a swimming competition.

Shinhwa’s Kim Dong Wan showed some interest in miss A’s Min, and netizens are already musing over a potential love line.

KBS’s “100 Points Out of 100” aired a special episode on January 15th, as the guests were all first-generation idols. GOD’s Kim Tae Woo, Sechskies‘ Eun Ji Won, Shinhwa’s Kim Dong Wan, H.O.T.’s Tony Ahn, and Baby V.O.X.’s Kan Mi Yeon all made an appearance on the show.

BEAST Yang Yoseob, who appeared on KBS 2TV school variety '100 points out of 100' aired on the 15th, showed overflowing variety feel.

On this day's '100 points out of 100', MC Park Myungsoo asked Yang Yoseob "Are you a celebrity" as a joke. Upon that, Yoseob responded with "You should know me well... I'm close to Kikwang", which caused a laughter. Park Myungsoo and Lee Kikwang are on MBC 'Sunday Sunday Night-Hot Brothers' together.

Then Park Myngsoo said "I personally like BEAST a lot, but I thought Lee Kikwang was going to come" which made Yoseob embarrassed. Yoseob was subjected to humiliation by MC Park Kyungrim saying "I thought Yoon Doojoon was going to come" after Park Myungsoo. Yoon Doojoon, just like Kikwang, is also actively doing solo activities through MBC sitcom 'All My Love'

T-ara Eunjung shows a 'painful fighting spirit' for goodbye stages

T-ara's Eunjung is getting sympathies from fans after she holds a fighting spirit while receiving prescription painkillers.

On December 25th of last year, Eunjung took a fall on slippery icy and injured a ligament in her left knee.

Because T-ara is having their goodbye stages on the 14th, 15th, and the 16th, Eunjung insisted on standing on stage as 7 members.

The hospital said, "Eunjung needed 2 weeks in a cast, and another 2 weeks on a secondary cast (brace)," they said. They also said, "She can't be over-doing it for a month and should receive steady therapy."

But the goodbye stages are this week, and Eunjung made a strong request to be alongside her members, "For the last 3 broadcasts, I want to be there so I am receiving prescribed painkillers."

Eunjung explained, "The company and the music broadcasts' directors said they would understand my leg injury, even though they said it was okay for me not to perform, I was so apologetic to the members and fans for the time I wasn't able to be together with them due to my knee injury, and as important as the goodbye stages were I wanted to stand on stage with all our members again." Currently filming the KBS 2TV Mon-Tues drama 'Dream High', she also continued on to say "On behalf of preparing for T-ara's goodbye stages I requested for a change in schedule. I was really thankful for them to understand this."

S Korea blocks access to North Korea's domain

South Korea has blocked its people in the South from accessing Web sites using North Korea's national Web domain name, saying the sites contain "illegal information" under the nation's anti-communism and security laws, officials said here.

The blockage by the South's state-run Communications Standards Commission came less than a day after an expert said North Korea had renewed the use of its own national Web domain name of ".kp" in an apparent effort to widen public access to its propaganda sites.

The commission started blocking Web sites using the ".kp" domain from Internet users in the South attempting to view those sites, including an Internet portal with an address of http://www.naenara.com.kp, officials said.

North Korea draws up 10-year economic plan

North Korea's government adopted a 10-year strategy plan for economic development to revive the Stalinist state's ailing economy, news reports said Saturday.

Pyongyang also established a new agency, the State General Bureau for Economic Development, to implement and execute projects, South Korea's Yonhap news agency quoted Northern state media as saying.

According to the North's Korean Central News Agency , the plan should aid in achieving the goal of becoming a "strong and prosperous state" by 2012, the 100th birthday of late state founder Kim Il Sung , the father of regime leader Kim Jong Il .

"The plan sets a state strategic goal for economic development. It puts main emphasis on building infrastructure and developing agriculture and basic industries including electric power, coal, oil and metal industries and regional development," KCNA said.

The government said it wants North Korea to rank among the group of advanced economies by 2020. It would become a "full-fledged thriving nation" and take a strategic position in northeast Asia, the agency reported.

South Korean analysts said the plan covers 12 areas worth around $100 billion, including agricultural development, a new airport and urban development.

The regime is also trying to credit Kim Jong Un , the heir apparent, with the economic achievement, Yonhap reported, citing analysts.

North Korea's economy nosedived in the 1990s following the collapse of the Soviet Union, leading to severe food shortages.

The country's gross domestic product in 2009 was estimated by the US government at $28 billion, compared with $986 billion for South Korea.
