New singer Sori who debuted with the song ‘Real Lips‘ in February will be back this July with a new digital single ‘Disco Party’.

And ahead of her comeback a album jacket photo has been revealed on 30th June.

Her company said, “We are done with the filming of the album jacket and the MV. And Sori is now practising on her choreography for the performance.”

“Sori will comeback with the 70s – 8os style. She will be back with the retro style with this digital single.”

The digital single ‘Disco Party’ will be released on 13th July.

Big Bang’s first debut single has went up higher on the Oricon chart.

They released their debut single ‘My Heaven’ on 24th June and on the day of its release the song ‘My Heaven’ was up #4, and the next day it went up to #3 on the chart. And after 5 days into its release, the song is up #2 on the chart, marking the group’s remarkable achievement on the chart.

On the 24th, at #1 was Kamiji Yoosuke, #2 went to female idol group AKB48 and #3 went to pretty boy singer Koike Tepei. As a newcomer to the industry, it is remarkable that they are staying in the top 10 and moving up the chart.

Meanwhile, Big Bang will also be releasing their 2nd single ‘Gara Gara GO’ on 8th July.

With, and even before, their comeback with their 2nd minialbum, So Nyeo Shi Dae takes the Kpop world by storm with the song ‘Tell Me Your Wish’ topping various on and offline charts.

The song is #1 on various online charts like Dosirak, Mnet, Cyworld, Bugs etc. This popularity is said to be the ‘Tell me your wish syndrome’ as described by many.

After their previous hit songs like ‘Girls Generation’, Kissing You’, ‘Baby Baby’ and ‘Gee’, they continued to reign with their 6th hit song as Korea’s top girl group.

Another song on the album ‘Etude’ released on 25th June is also doing well up on the charts.

Seo In-young has been called to the rescue of MBC variety program line-up, Sunday Sunday Night’s, dwindling viewer rating. The singer made her first appearance on the program, “Brother Band,” on the June 28th episode and joined the “Brother Band” as their new female vocal. Unfortunately, despite her addition to the program, ratings for the show still waddled at a low 5.2%, but the former “We Got Married” member seems pretty confident that she’s capable of bringing the numbers back up. During the taping, she confidently stated, “The Sunday Night (program) you guys ruined, I’ll get it back on its feet.”

Poor girl shouldn’t have made such a ballsy statement because rival programs SBS “Family Outing” and KBS “1Night 2 Days” already have that slot locked with a strong and steady following that they are definitely not going to share with her. Especially with Lee Seung-ki’s drama “Great Inheritance” hitting a high of almost 40% viewer ratings, “1 Night 2 Days” also benefited from the dimpled star’s popularity with viewer ratings soaring to a whopping 32.8%.

So, is Seo In-young is capable of bringing up the viewer ratings that even Girls Generation weren’t capable of doing? Probably not, but this is a good chance for her to get more practice singing and Super Junior’s Sung-min and Trax’s Jung-mo a chance to be in the spotlight away from their group members.

DREAM, an Avex girlband that has been active for many years will be releasing their 9th anniversary single aptly titled “DREAM 9″ to be released to a fitting date of September 9, 2009 (09/09/09). One of the tracks will be showcasing a collaboration with currently sensational Avex boyband from Korea, Tohoshinki. Aside from their fellow talents in their agency in Korea, the boys haven’t collaborated with another girlband.

Lee Si Young whose relationship with JunJin was made public and became headline news this past week, came out on tv to address all sorts of rumors surrounding her background, and admitting that they were indeed very real.

This happened on SBS Ya Shim Man Man shown on 29th June where Lee Si Young appeared as 1 of the invited guests alongside Bae Soo Bin and Kim Tae Won. She truthfully spoke up on the rumors of her faking her real age and name plus her relationship with JunJin.

With regards to having a real name but yet keeping it hidden and pretending that her stage name is her real name, Lee Si Young said, "Lee Si Young is my real name now. My original name was Lee Eun Rae but I changed it (legally) to Lee Si Young."

The all-female, K-pop group Wonder Girls released their first North American single, “Nobody” and opened for the Jonas Brothers at Portland’s Rose Garden on Saturday.

According to the band’s management company JYP Entertainment, the English-language version of the Wonder Girls’ immensely popular single was released digitally the same day as their opening performance for America’s “tween-pop” sensations.

Telling fans to get up and dance, the Wonder Girls were introduced on stage by the Jonas Brothers’ father, Kevin Jonas, who co-manages his sons’ North American tour. Clad in sparkling Motown-style, one-piece dresses, the girls performed “Tell Me” in front of 20,000 screaming fans.

Backstage, it was reported that Joe Jonas danced and sang along to their performance.

The group, whose next stop is Seattle, met with fans after the concert.

Actress Kim So Eun has dropped her first starring film role in 4th Period Mystery (4교시 추리영역).

The movie, co-starring Kim with Yoo Seung Ho, has already been 60-70% filmed. However, a situation has arisen where they must start scrap everything and begin filming anew due to the movie’s director being replaced. (KP’s note: I presume this means that 100 Days With Mr. Arrogant’s Shin Dong Yup is no longer directing.) With Kim currently acting in a leading role in He Who Can’t Marry, it would be too difficult for her to work intensively on both projects simultaneously. Hence, it was decided that she would give up the 4th Period Mystery project. A representative of her agency explained that the decision caused no major problems with the producers.

With 4th Period Mystery off of her schedule, Kim So Eun is going to focus entirely on He Who Can’t Marry, which is airing on KBS until August. Kim is also in the process of choosing her next project from the many offers she has received.

What’s “CC”?

Wrote it up because it's sort of hard on the eyes to read.

Everyone has missed me, right?
Truthfully, looking at myself in the CF,
I still feel a little awkward.
It's the first time I tied up my hair, wore a sleeveless tee
and a blue jacket, and matched it with printed pants.
Through the CF this time, I showed a different side of me, and I
feel very happy (doing that). Naturally playing around with the mobile phone in the CF and
saying those things were arranged before that.
But why doesn't everyone think of it as my everyday writing and taking of photos?
Usually it's 13 of us moving together, but this time appearing alone in
front of the camera, I felt refreshed yet nervous.
I know, every time I am unable to have activities with
Super Junior, many people will wonder why.
Kim Kibum has always been living healthily.
This time, (I) even took part in Super Junior's
3rd album recording and MV filming.
Truthfully, I wish even more to show the actor
side of me to everyone, so I'm cutting down
activities as a singer.
But looking at our members standing on stage,
I'm missing (everything) dearly.
In March, didn't Super Junior gloriously
win 1st on Mu Bank's monthly charts?
That day, Leeteuk hyung shed tears saying,
"To Kibum who's in front of the TV now,
your Hyungs did it." After listening, I felt like crying...
I know, at that time, I should have been standing there.

Fans will get to know all about 2NE1 through an upcoming reality show.

To be aired from 2nd July, Mnet ‘2NE1 TV’ will showcase all in a day 24 hours of the girls, showing the different sides of the girls to their fans.

The concept to the show is similar to that of previous ones like ‘Off record Hyori’, ‘Street sound take 1′, ‘I am a model’ etc and is directed by PD Choi Jae Yoon.

Choi PD said, “The girls did not seem nervous about the filming, it is very guillera-style and fun, it seems like we are really watching the girls and what they do in a day.”

There are also other sections to the show for other YG Entertainment artistes like Big Bang, Teddy, Gummy, Se7en etc.
