She is really shy about it all. It took her forever to actually speak Thai in front of me. When she would talk on the phone with her mom she would basically whisper. She was here a few months before I actually met her and people were not to kind to her (it pisses me off how they used to treat her) She is pretty much over her shyness now though ^^ She goes to college in another state though so I dont really get to see her much now. Before she left she did teach me and a friend how to SAY "I dont want a slushy" lol thats all. dont even ask how to write it. IDK.
lol She always told me and my friend she wanted us to visit Thailand when she would go back to see family. But we would tell her she would at least have to teach us a few simple phrases...but she would more so just teach us their customs...(basically she just wanted us to act like deaf mutes) She even said when we visited we would have to rent our own place because we would not be able to stay with her. (???) That when we were all "DG YOU HAVE to teach us SOMETHING!!!" So she taught us "I dont want a slushy" we even asked how to just simply say "hi how are you" but she was like "well you dont just say hi to strangers so you dont really need to learn that"
IDK a guess that makes "I dont want a slushy" a more important phrase than "Hi how are you"
LMAO she used to teach us the cutest things. Truthfully see never thought us how to say 'Hi'. She really did think it was a worthless thing to learn. She said over all Thai people dont just say hi to each other. Especially not to a total stranger. IDK thats how she explained it to us. One of the problems people had with her was that they thought she was rude and mean. But really she was shy and sweet >_<
Ahh thats nice. IDK maybe my friend was just REALLY shy. I have only heard her speak Thai a couple times. I tried learning a few things on my own but without knowing how to really say them its hard to learn. IDK if I asked her now she might actually help.
LOL at least the sentence she taught you was pretty decent. My Thai friend on the other hand taught me to say "I like your big beautiful breasts" DDDD8 I was like, "AND HOW IS THAT SENTENCE USEFUL TO ME??????" It's not like I'm gonna hit on girls (or the ladyboys) when I go there OTL
LMAO that killed me XD awww IDK I guess mine is kinda useful seeing as how I DONT like slushys...IDK maybe if you need a place to stay and the owner of the place is a woman IDK she might take it as a complement and let you stay the night. IDK XD
thai writing+thai sound = huge weakness for me. I studied it for a semester and fell in love. then I transferred to a school that didn't offer it :'( I miss it sfm. It's SO hard to self-study it though.
wow, i hardly recognized them! I was like, "that guy looks like Mike, but they're never separated. wut." Wow, he looks really different to me for some reason. XD Thanks for that D:
