[Fan Account] FT Island Singapore Showcase 2009

uhm. if anyone's interested...i wrote an account for my lj so yeah, thought i'd just share it fyi. ^_^ fti bb needs moar love at omtd. :D and as usual, let's do it chronologically, if my memory serves me right.
 

Date & Time: 27th June, 3pm
Event: FT Island Singapore Showcase 2009
Venue: St. James Powerstation, Dragonfly.

Rules: No photography, food and drinks. Queue tags will be given in accordance to queue number(first come, first serve) to first 500 fans. 501st fan onwards would just have to queue as per normal. These tag would determine when you enter the pub/area/space/hall.
 

Met at 7.30 at Khatib and went off to HarbourFront taking the Red>>Yellow>>Purple line. Haha. Walked our way to St. James. It was easy to spot because of the red bricked wall with the yellow people.
 

 

I reached there at, say...8.30? And we hadta write down our names on this (yellow) piece of paper and guess what number I was? 320. Yeah. I was like, f. So I checked out the queue. It was uberrr long. Madness.

Waited for time to pass by till it started to drizzle a lil, got sunny and the weather just played with us. Ate kueh lapis, played Uno and soon after, it was 11am. So the queue to just go and collect a piece of slip with your number on it took ages! Tsk. So I got number 314. No biggy. :/
 

 

We had our own time till 1pm, when we have to join the queue back, according to the tags given. Zzz.
 

 

Had heavy brunch to last through the jumpin and screamings and made our way back to Powerstation/house. It was 1pm. Another 2 hours of waiting. T_T
 

 

Queued up for like, ever til the line was moving till at about...2-ish? It was so warm we all looked so uglyyyy by then. Tsk.
 

Finally, at around 2.50, after checking bags and our temperature, we entered the premise. IT WAS SO COOL AND PURPLISH DIM LIGHTS, VIPS DRINKING, LED STATUS BAR ON TOP, blablabla, it was really cool. (Idk why it reminded me of DBSK's Purple Line)

Sad thing was, it was already half full. Dayum. picked a good spot at the steps and stayed there. Got my lightsticks and camera ready.

 

So while waiting, they played various FT Songs from Colorful Sensibility and the pris were all singing along. Naiiice. Especially FT vs PRI and FT Island!

Finally, at like 3.20 the boys came on stage and did their stuff. I totally can't remember what song they sang first and all but they sang:

 

- FT vs Pri, Love is, ???? Love Sick, ? ? ?? Until you return, It's love, Nappeun yeoja, Tv radio, Because I didn't know how to love, Primadonna.
 

It was awesome. I'm just sad they didn't sing Heaven and Cheot Kisseu. =( Hongki sure knows how to tease the crowd. He took off his jacket wearing some a red graphic tank/wifebeater. He kept interacting with the fans by pointing, winking at them.

He even took 1 placard/board which read, "Honggi!" when singing FT vs Pri(ithink) and he slotted it in between Seunghyun's guitar strap and body. Haha. 
 

Hongki kept doing ballerina leaps, aeroplane flying during..FT Island I think. Along with cute expressions like eyes roll up, tongue out kinda face..
 

Jaejin, Seunghyun and Hongki were the only ones with the microphone. T_T So during the introduction part...
 

Lee Jae Jin: My name is, Lee Jae Jin. I like Singapore girls. (crowd goes wild) I'm so sorry.

Hongki: Who is he? (points to Seunghyun)
Seunghyun: What is my name?
Pris: SONG SEUNG HYUN!!
Seunghyun: Yes! That's my name!

The fans then chanted for leader Jongshin to introduce. Hongki passed him the mic and he took a good look at all of us and said, "Choi Jong Hun -imnida" bowing, in the most charming, manliest way a guy would say his name. *meltzzz*

So lastly was Minhwan's turn. Hongki didn't want to introduce him. So we pris were shouting for Minhwan, till he played some awesome freestyle beats on the drums.
 

Hongki then said, "Minwan is DIE." Well, that's what I heard. But some of them claimed he said, "Minwan is THAI." o__O?

Right. So they had lotsa engrish too. The boys also tried to speak mandarin. (Geez, they should have spoke some malay or something... or tamil.)
 

Seunghyun tried to introduce himself in Mandarin and Hongki's engrish is awesome.

"Are y'all leadyyyy?"
"Ok. Nexxteu song iz... You! (Primadonna)"
"Now iz...Jampiing tiem!"
"Ok.. We have rittle tiem..."
"Ok.. Nexxxteu song iz...(he asks Jaejin to say out the title)

-Jaejin continues, "Bad ghurl." Haha. Nappeun Yeoja. That was so cute.

Ah. So after the songs, they went in. So what's a gig without an encore right? So we fans screamed "Encore!" and it didn't work. We then shouted F-T! I-S, L-A, N-D, LET's GO! for idk how many minutes. It was so tiring to shout. T_T

So they reappeared on stage, and they got changed into teeshirts given by primanoona.wordpress, I believe. Interestiiiiiing. Half of the pris there were wearing the yellow pri shirts. Everyone roarrrrred in jubilance since they were wearing the same shirts. (pris+ftboys)

So they sang FT Island and Until You Come Back for their encore. Naiiice.

Hmm. So an hour for $100. Gosh. Rip off. Luckily its their first time hre. ahha. I heard from people from the fanmeet that they MAY be back at the end of the year. Hopefully for a proper concert. And when I say proper, means... duh, concert! -_-

Right. So I'd rate the boys a 10/10 because they were awesome despite Minani screwing up the beats and either guitarists sounded wrong or something. Idk. But who cares, it made them even more human imo! ^^
 

But honestly, the crowd = dissapointment. I really, frankly, truthfully expected more from Pris. (Okay, I admit I'm not a 100% Pri k) There were more cameras up in the air as compared to the pentasticks. Sigh. Even Hongki had to like give signals telling us when to jump, pump our fists, clap our hands... Don't the fans know that once you have drums, it's easier to clap to the beat? (See, I attend too much gigs =/) I even received stares from people when I wanted to jump but who bloody cares. Haha. I jumped and didn't care.

Oh, and the annoying heart board. T_T I know it was full with LED blinking lights idc how much you spent but come on, THERE ARE 24923194 HEADS BEHIND YOU DAMNIT YOU FKIN BLOCKED OUR VIEW! F YOU FOR NOT LETTING US SEE JAEJIN CLEARLY BTCH. Ergh. It's so sad to just hear him talk but not see him BECAUSE OF THAT IRRITATING BOARD. You can jolly well show that off at Inkigayo or something. Not at St. James prz.

 

Right, so after the whole thing ended, went outside for phototaking with some Malaysian Pris. They're really nice people! So we were all spazzing, talking about how awesome the boys weretill a van passed by and all I could see was Minhwan peace-waving! Cute. I was rooted to the ground and didn't give chase. Wow.

 

I headed to the airport since primanoona.wp won't release departure dates and timing so we Pris did our math and wanted to try our luck at the airport after doing some checks online blabla. Also, we had our very own secret reporter she's ninjar. At Changi Airport's MRT, there were departure timings so me and my friends we checking em out till some other Pris were all, "Hurry hurry!" to their own friends. So it's kinda like, "Hurry! Let's reach there first!" or "Hurry! Don't tell them anything!" OHEMGEE. T_T Annoying girls.

 

Are all fangirls really that selfish? Or rude? Or just plain annoying? I tried smiling to them and called them out. But ohh noooo, what do I get? T_T So we waited for idk how long so we had MacDees in between. There were yellow people everywhere and I bumped into the SGShawols <333

Blabla once you hear cries, prz book a spot at the departure entrance. Girls were running here and there from the door/road/vehicle drop off straight to the Departure gate. MADNESS I TELL YOU. I was so near, I could see them clearly la.

 

So Minhwan was the first to enter so the police dude gotta check his passport right. Minhwan was really blur because his hands were full of gifts and had to get someone to show the passport to him. Next was idk who but the boys were pushed as though it was a moshpit or something. I bet they could finally breath again when they passed the passport check. The fans started chanting F-T-I-S-L-A-N-D Let's Go which made the boys turn and smile back.

 

It was so fast, I saw a girl crying. =/

Really. It was an interesting experience. Haha. Some fans are just horrible and some are in between (like me perhaps?) and some are just, jjang. I hope FTi had a great time here but idk I doubt they'd come back. So...I'll just sing 너 올 때까지 Ne Oeun Ttaekkaji... Ggi darilgae... <3

Merrchendaize. No Seunghyunnie for the files. I was like kfjdkdkjgfd, WHAI IS WONBIN THERE LOL? They sold theirJump Up autographed mini but it didn't buy it. Haha.

everything sounds awesome! i only went to see them in the airport when they arrived but they are all in masks and everything i cant rely differentiate whose FT and whose the management team. D: anyways i heard that there are remaining tix and the pple there sold them for 20$ in the ending? and give free posters? i feel so saddddd i shld've waited outside or smth. sigh.
