lmao I checked the old ledapple tag and my posts were all over it. I was so into them!
I still follow Hanbyul and Kwangyeon on Insta. They're cuties.
The song has a nice vibe. I like it.

A beautiful ballad with a heartbreaking MV. TW: cheating. I'm glad he's still releasing songs. <3 I love his voice. For those wondering what he's been up to, he put out a few months ago 2 more songs ( 1, 2 ) and he's pretty active on his insta.

The Korean male band currently known as LEDApple will soon be making their transformation as a newly named group, LedT.
The past year has been undoubtedly a hard one for LEDAs (LEDApple fans) as members left and new ones were introduced.
In October 2014, an announcement was made to fans that a lineup change would occur following the end of the December 2014 concerts in Japan with Hanbyul, Kyumin, and Kwangyeon leaving while members Youngjun and Hyoseok would remain.

In January 2015, LEDApple welcomed Hyunsang and Kyosung with Kyumin revealed to be continuing with the group instead of following his own solo career into hip-hop music as previously revealed just months before, bringing the group back up to five members.
But just days afterwards when a new four-member group image was published, the agency revealed that new member Hyunsang was unable to participate in activities as his throat was unwell and needed medical treatment. Additionally, new stage names for each members were revealed: JUN (Youngjun), AKi (Hyoseok), Kei (Kyumin), and Kyo(Kyosung).
However, the group would undergo another lineup change when Kyosung would end his six-months as a member of LEDApple and left the group at the end of June 2015.
On August 16th, a header was updated to their Facebook page reading, “We will newlly start as ‘LedT’ from September 1, 2015.”
Fans have posted their shock as the name change, commenting that they will miss LEDApple but will continue to support the group as LedT. All posts made on the page regarding LEDApple between 2013 and August 2015 have been deleted as they prepare for a new start.
LedT consists of members Kei (Kyumin) as the vocalist and keytarist, JUN (Youngjun) as the vocalist and guitarist, and AKi (Hyoseok) as the rapper and drummer.

Facebook, Twitter, Official Site & Instagram for those who still want to follow them. ;_; I am so emotionally invested in them I can't back out now. I love them too much. I was so sad when Hanbyul & Kwangyeon left, but now they've deleted all the videos too, sooo... TT_TT . At least Hyoseok & Youngjun get to sing too. I like their voices more than Kyumin's. :-/

Not sure if people still remember them, but I just thought I'd post some pretty covers. Apparently, they have performances every weekend somewhere in Japan. (Also, just a bit of news on Hanbyul: he's quite active on Instagram and sometime in the winter he met with KeonU ;_;).

We all know and love K-pop songs, but there are undoubtedly some fabulous songs in English that even K-pop idols adore! From Bruno Mars to Beyonce, these artists have all been covered by many talented K-pop artists. While some are sung by native English-speakers turned K-pop artist, others have been covered by people born and raised in Korea. Want to hear some of these gorgeous covers? Just click through the gallery to see “17 Amazing English Covers by K-pop Artists.”

1. Hyorin – “Halo” (Beyonce)

Perhaps the bravest of them all, Hyorin tackles Beyonce’s mega-hit “Halo.” One would think that anyone who dared to sing this song would fall sadly short, but Hyorin holds her own and shows off those clear, powerful vocals which have made her famous. Honestly, I could listen to her do covers of English songs all day long! She always shows true musicality which makes her performances amazing.

2. Leeteuk and Sungmin – “Nothing on You” (B.o.B.)

This is another song that has been covered by multiple K-pop artists, but most adhere pretty strictly to the original. Here, Leeteuk and Sungmin start it off slowly and romantically, but the duo soon cranks it up the notch to make it more upbeat and fun. The original song was pretty much perfection already, but this cover is still really memorable and uniquely Super Junior.

3. Yonghwa and IU – “Lucky” (Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat)

To me, Yonghwa and IU have the perfect blend of voices on this super popular song, “Lucky.” Both clear, sweet, and powerful, their voices really shine on this romantic song by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat. I would love to hear more from these two in the future. Now that Yonghwa has made his solo debut, perhaps he will invite IU to feature on a song in the future.

4. EXO- “Open Arms” (Journey)

If you don’t know this song already, then you probably weren’t born until the 1990′s. Even so, this great song by Journey gets covered beautifully by EXO members Baekhyun, D.O, Chen, and Luhan. Also noteworthy is the live version at an SMTOWN concert by Baekhyun, Chen, Onew, and Ryeowook.

5. MAMAMOO ft. Bumkey – “All of Me” (John Legend)

If I was forced to pick a favorite off of this list, this would probably be it. Granted, this is also one of my all-time favorite songs in English as well. It’s hard to sing such a famous song without just sounding like you’re doing a karaoke version, but MAMAMOO and Bumkey simply own this version! Their beautiful harmonies and added rap make it unique and special.

6. Lee Hi – “Rolling in the Deep” (Adele)

One of the first covers to make Lee Hi famous, the singer shows us exactly why she shot to stardom overnight. This cover is slower than the original, which allows Lee Hi to bring out the emotion and simple melody of the song. Just because it’s slower however, doesn’t make it any less powerful than the famous version by Adele.

7. LC9 – “Just a Dream” (Nelly)

This group of talented guys might not be one of the most well-known on the list, but they definitely show off their talent in this cover of Nelly’s song. They also have some other covers that are really great, in addition to their original material as well. If you haven’t checked them out already, make sure to give this song a listen!

8. Taeyeon – “Take a Bow” (Rihanna)

For a native Korean-speaker, Taeyeon has a really great accent in English! Covering Rihanna’s hit song “Take a Bow,” she shows off her crystal clear vocals and amazing dynamics. Her voice is very different than Rihanna’s original vocals, so she succeeds in making the song sound like her own

9. Super Junior M – “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You” (Michael Bolton)

The main vocalists of Super Junior M have always been Kyuhyun and Ryeowook, but in recent years they have been experimenting with different voice combinations. My favorite combo so far includes Sungmin and Zhou Mi. Four part harmony is something not often heard in modern pop songs, so this version is not only gorgeous but impressive!

10. LED Apple – “Just The Way You Are” (Bruno Mars)

You know you’re a hugely popular singer when other artists cover your songs too. In fact, Bruno Mars is one of the most covered artists by K-pop singers. Every one of his hits have been covered by multiple idols in Korea, but one of my favorites was this version by LED Apple members Hanbyul and Youngjun.

11. TTS & EXO-K – “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love” (Usher)

When it comes to brave performances, TTS also tackled a difficult song during a Girls’ Generation concert in Tokyo. Performing the hit song originally sung by Usher and featuring Pitbull, the group of girls gave it their all onstage and made the song uniquely feminine. Making it an extra special cover were the singers’ labelmates, EXO-K.

12. Ailee - “I Will Always Love You” (Whitney Houston)

One of the native English-speakers on the list, Ailee delivers an emotional, powerhouse performance of Whitney Houston’s hugely popular hit, “I Will Always Love You.” You have to be brave to cover a song by one of the greatest modern singers of our time, but Ailee totally does the song justice and leaves listeners enthralled with her performance.

13. BEAST – Ordinary People (John Legend)

Who doesn’t love John Legend? Even popular BEAST idols Yoseob and Doojoon are fans of the American singer. Covering his soulful song “Ordinary People,” the two guys show us a unique combination of voices that we don’t get to hear often enough.

14. CNBLUE – “Geek in the Pink” (Jason Mraz)

We all know Yonghwa and Lee Jonghyun of CNBLUE are insanely talented, but here they show us their skills by covering this quirky, adorable song by Jason Mraz. The fast paced lyrics could prove quite a challenge for people who don’t speak fluent English, but Yonghwa flies through the lyrics with ease (and looks awfully good while doing so).

15. V- “Someone Like You” (Adele)

A lot of people may not realize that V from BTS has such a deep, soulful voice. His tone is really sexy and mature despite his young years. He tackles this hit song by Adele and leaves us wanting a much longer version than what was recorded.

16. LUNAFLY – “Thinking Out Loud” (Ed Sheeran)

LUNAFLY are truly the kings of cover songs in the K-pop business! They record English and Spanish songs and have a near flawless accent in both languages. This gallery could honestly be full of nothing but LUNAFLY covers, since each and every one is amazing.

17. SPICA.S – “Lost Stars” (Adam Levine)

Without a doubt, this song is one of the best of 2014. It’s hard to beat the super talented Adam Levine, so Spica.S strays from the original version to give us their own unique harmony.

BONUS: K-pop Artists Special Collaboration – “You Raise Me Up” (Josh Groban)

On a TV special after the disaster in Haiti, several K-pop artists got together to cover this beautiful song, originally sung by Josh Groban. When you have some of the best vocals in K-pop on one song, being backed up by practically every other idol in Korea, you are bound to have an amazingly beautiful performance.

For those who wanted to know, Hanbyul and Kwangyeon left, while Kyosung joined the band and the others changed their stage names. Kyumin - Kei, Youngjun - Jun, Hyoseok - Aki, Kyosung - Kyo. Those vids might be a bit old, but they've only been uploaded for a month or so on their official Youtube channel and I don't remember them being posted here. Bye, bye, my faves. :(

Crying a river right now. ;_; 2014 is ruining all my faves. I hope Kwangyeon will get better and Hanbyul slays with his vocals in a joint-album with Bruno Mars. Also, I hope everything is ok (except my faves) with the post.

In 2013 Korean music distributor Music Spray was the first to sign an agreement with Spotify, and Spotify began its expansion into Asian markets by opening in Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore. The presence of kpop/k-indie/k-hiphop music on international sites like Spotify other international streaming sites has been rapidly growing since then. SM Entertainment finally fully joined the Spotify party last month (no press release to cite, just my observation from periodically searching and also spotify's suggestion e-mails.)

These are the artists I've found so far -- add more in the comments!

Note that Spotify has no clue how to deal with namespace collisions and so does not differentiate in a useful way between artists with the same name, so all the different "Primary" "infinite" and "Henry"s are grouped together in their interface. Also, some artists show up with multiple names.

(Edited to add: links in the comments and other artists I find I'm going to add to the version of this in personal journal, rather than spam everyone who commented on this post with additions.)

The form to request more music from Spotify is here.
Note that they can only approach the companies, they can't just add it on their own. (Prayer circle for Woollim to get on board!)
Companies have either gotten on recently or not been consistent with what they add, so I think the only artists I found that I know has their complete catalog up are Crayon Pop & K-Much.
I'm in the U.S. so people in different territories might see different artists.

This is actually pretty interesting. It shows how much they appreciate everything and some bits about how tough it is to be in this industry. On the other hand, I can totally imagine Hanbyul annoying his neighbours with his singing (though who is mad enough to get angry when they hear such an angelical voice?). Also, he needs to be careful, because people can really misunderstand if he keeps saying "play with each other". And I do feel like posting every single interview, because they are the true angels of Kpop, but I feel like I'd turn into a pretty annoying fan that keeps pushing them in people's faces. ._.

This MV is so cute, longer than the Korean version (and you can hear the fans' cheers! <3). I need more lives of this song, because I love their performances (and also a new variety show :o3 pretty please). I feel like doing a gif spam, because some of the moments are so precious (Kyumin almost naked...).
