AKMU Returning With New Album in April, Member Lee Chan Hyuk Enlisting in the Military After

Akdong Musician is finally coming back. Their last album release, with “Play,” was in April 2014.

Yang Hyun Suk, CEO of YG Entertainment, revealed today that the brother-sister duo will be releasing their new album early. The album, which will be Akdong Musician’s second album, is already fully recorded.

Along with the good news, come the b. Yang Hyuk Suk also revealed that Lee Chan Hyuk, the male half of Akdong Musician, will be enlisting to fulfill his compulsory military service after promotions for the new album are complete.

Lee Chan Hyuk had surprised Yang Hyun Suk with his decision, saying he wants to go and plans to apply to the airforce or the marines. He thinks that if he goes and is surrounded by a new environment, he will have inspiration for new lyrics.

The Korean Music Festival’s patrons will enjoy the best ensemble of contemporary Korean music from traditional trot singers to teenage idol groups along with spectacular fireworks.The Korean Music Festival provides a night of harmony that is often difficult to achieve among generations. It is the perfect night to bring the family together for a night that the whole family can enjoy.

So far, the lineup is : AOA, F.T. Island, wheesung, The Barberettes, No Brain, WAX, and Lee Ae-ran. Usually, it's double that number, so expect more artists to be announced in the upcoming weeks.

The 11th KTMF takes place at the Hollywood Bowl on Saturday, May 7th, and tickets are available now. Seats are $30-$300.

Slimeball Agency Director Arrested for Instigating Celebrity Prostitution Deals

On March 5, SBS News released a report about an entertainment agency director named Kang (41 years old) being arrested by the police for approaching female celebrities and instigating illegal prostitution.

According to the report, Kang learned about the difficult financial situation of a female celebrity referred to as “A” and lent her a great deal of money.

The police explained that Kang told A she could repay her debt by going to the United States and having sex with a businessman called “B.”

It has been further revealed that B had been introduced to three other female celebrities as well. It appears as though Kang has a history of taking advantage of female celebrities experiencing financial difficulties.

Currently, B is estimated to have spent 90 million won (approximately $75,100) for the four women including flight and hotel expenses.

Kang is also being investigated for his profits in instigating illegal prostitution. He previously served a jail sentence of six months on similar charges and went on to continue his celebrity prostitution deals after being released.

The police have apprehended a total of 11 individuals related to this crime and believe there are more female celebrities involved.

Currently, there is a lot of speculation regarding the identities of the female celebrities in question but nothing has been confirmed yet.
