Rappers to Coach Grandmas in New Variety Show Hosted by Shin Dong Yup and San E

JTBC‘s upcoming variety show “Nation of Hip Hop” (literal translation) will challenge grandmas to try their hands at rapping.

The show will be hosted by top MC Shin Dong Yup and rapper San E. Viewers can expect to catch the first episode in late March or early April.

A representative of JTBC said they are nearly finished with casting. “We are in the final stages of recruiting hip hop producers/coaches and grandma rappers. The grandmas will come from different backgrounds, and are expected to include actresses, entertainers, and non-celebrities.”

“Nation of Hip Hop” follows eight hip hop producers and grandmas as they learn rapping in teams, followed by weekly competitions. The final winner is expected to receive a prize.
