Synopsis
Oh Mal-Soon (Nah Moon-hee) is a 74-year-old widow that realizes she is becoming a burden on her family. As she is roaming the streets, she comes across a photo studio and decides to dress up for a self- portrait. When she walks out of the photo studio, she mysteriously turns back into her twenty year old self. Making the most out of this one in a lifetime opportunity, she changes her name to Oh Doo-Ri (Sim Eun-kyeong) and decides to make the most out of her youth.

“Entertain Us” is a black comedy that hits on the dark, illegal and unfaithful side of K-pop that takes place behind its glamorous façade.
The unusual series attempts to blend reality and fiction by following real-life boy band Teen Top as it is placed in the hands of overly ambitious producer Yoon Jong-shin, founder of Mystic89. While the stars will be playing themselves and other Mystic89 performers will also make cameos, the series itself is not a reality show.
The show’s producer, Park Jun-soo, said he will use the blurred lines between reality and fiction to portray the hidden stories of the K-pop world. He admits this could confuse viewers, however he sees this ambiguity as a way to bring out the humor in the drama, straying from mainstream television.
“Ambiguity is our character. The ambiguity may be unfamiliar, but the dramatic factors and characters acting as themselves will harmonize reality and drama very well,” Park Jun-soo said during a press conference on Tuesday.
Members of Teen Top, producer Yoon and Kim Ye-rim, another singer with Mystic89, agreed, saying that it was “half-acting and half-reality.” Park also promised to show all the dark secrets of the entertainment industry, which may surprise big agencies.
“There are stories that real (entertainment) staff may go through and experience, which may be confusing for viewers as it mixes reality and fiction. But this will bring the joy of watching authentic stories,” Yoon said.

After touring with Lady Gaga, the Crayon Pop members are settling down and preparing for their first full-length album release.
“With September in mind, the members are currently invested in recording and dance practices. As it is the first official album, a lot of attention is being poured in music and other aspects,” stated Chrome Entertainment. “Crayon Pop will be coming shortly with its own colors, so please continue to show your interest.”
The exact comeback date has yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, Crayon Pop returned to Korea from Lady Gaga’s tour, artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball on July 24 after touring for about a month.

Girls’ Generation (SNSD) will be launching its first Chinese fan meeting.
SM Entertainment stated on August 4, “SNSD will be holding its first fan meeting in China later this year and meet with the fans in the country.”
SM Entertainment added, “The exact date, size and location of the fan meeting have not been decided yet.”
Since its debut in 2007 with the single album Into the New World, SNSD has made hits with songs such as Gee, Hoot, I Got a Boy, Oh! and more, becoming a top girl group in Korea.
SNSD released the best album The Best on July 23, ranking number one on Oricon’s weekly chart, proving its popularity in and out of Korea.

A Pink held its first showcase in Japan and announced its upcoming Japan debut date.
On August 4, A Pink launched a debut showcase in Siganawa Stellar Ball in Tokyo and announced, “We will be officially debuting in Japan on October 22. We will be releasing our debut single No No No through Universal Music that day.”
A Pink’s Nam Joo said, “We would like to spread the name of A Pink through No No No, which all of us really like. This song is especially easy to sing along, so once it’s released, I encourage you to sing along.”

Girl group AOA’s most recent hit, “Short Hair,” has clinched the top spot on Mnet’s M! Countdown charts for the month of July, according to the television network.
Although the girls finished the promotion of the track with a performance on SBS’ Sunday music show, “Inkiyayo” on July 27, the group is continuing to make headlines with the popular song, which was created by hit-making producer Brave Brothers.
This is not the only chart that “Short Hair” has managed to top. AOA also reached the Number 1 spot on the global K-pop social network charts, and the act is currently the only girl group whose video has made the Billboard K-pop music video’s “Top 8.”
AOA will continue to build on its growing popularity with a Japanese debut slated for some time in October.

Girl group KARA, with their comeback getting closer and closer by the day, has released their night themed teasers for members Goo Hara and Han Seungyeon through their Facebook page.
Like their previous photos, Hara and Seungyeon look stunning with their dramatic ruffled gowns and flowing brown hair.
The countdown now begins in earnest to the release of the new mini album, which will be Kara’s sixth. The new extended play is entitled “Day & Night,” and drops on August 18. DSP has also revealed that the girls will perform at a special showcase for the album on the day of its release, with an event to be held in the Mapo district of Seoul.

Actor Jung Kyung Ho recently revealed that he plans to propose to girlfriend, Girls’ Generation member Sooyoung, on the day that he receives a ‘Best Actor Award.’
On the August 3 broadcast of MBC’s “Section TV,” Jung Kyung Ho and actress Jo Yoon Hee, who were both chosen as goodwill ambassadors of animal rights and protection for the second annual “Animal Film Festival in Suncheon,” appeared as guests to take part in an interview.
During the interview, the reporter mentioned to Jung Kyung Ho, “I heard that the puppy you’re raising, Ho Young, was named by taking a part of the names Jung Kyung ‘Ho’ and Soo’young.’” In response to this, the actor shared, “That’s one of the reasons.”
In the past, Jung Kyung Ho had made a statement on a television show talking about his future proposal plans, saying that he would like to propose to his girlfriend during his acceptance speech on the day that he receives a ‘Best Actor Award.’
On “Section TV,” the reporter brought up the fact again, asking if that previous statement still holds true, as Jung Kyung Ho had made that comment before news of his relationship with Sooyoung went public. The actor shyly replied, “Yes.”

After two and a half years in the industry, girl group SPICA will soon be making the career-changing leap most K-Pop artists only dream about. On August 7 (OP note: EST), five-member K-Pop group SPICA will drop their debut US single, "I Did It," and follow the release with a live performance at KCON 2014 in Los Angeles on August 10.
The new track is said to be a medium-tempo dance pop song that calls upon elements of hip-hop and punk to evoke a sense of 90's pop nostalgia. "Oliver, Cory, and Daniel have given us an amazing song," explained the group members. "We truthfully have high expectations for this first single and music video release in the United States."
Since making their debut in South Korea in early 2012, SPICA has seen success with four singles and two EPs, all of which have been well-received by critics and fans alike. The group's most recent release, "You Don't Love Me," has over two million views on YouTube and counting. Already a success on the K-Pop charts back home, the new challenge for Boa, Bohyung, Juhyun, Narae, and Jiwon will be winning over fans (and the airwaves) in the US.

Girls’ Generation is set to release a new photobook, titled “Girls’ Generation In Las Vegas”, on August 25th. The “Girls’ Generation In Las Vegas” photobook will be 290 pages and come with a region-free DVD, a coaster, and a poster. The DVD will not be subtitled. The photobook and all extras will cost 49,000 won, or roughly $47.48 USD.
“Girls’ Generation In Las Vegas” is currently available for pre-order from online Korean retailers such as aladin and leesmusic, as well as YesAsia and DVDHeaven.
