A Pink held its first showcase in Japan and announced its upcoming Japan debut date.

On August 4, A Pink launched a debut showcase in Siganawa Stellar Ball in Tokyo and announced, “We will be officially debuting in Japan on October 22. We will be releasing our debut single No No No through Universal Music that day.”

A Pink’s Nam Joo said, “We would like to spread the name of A Pink through No No No, which all of us really like. This song is especially easy to sing along, so once it’s released, I encourage you to sing along.”

During the showcase, A Pink performed its hits No No No, My My, Mr. Chu and more to 2,000 fans who were invited after going through a 26:1 competition.

The Japanese media also showed keen interest in A Pink. The showcase event gathered over 140 media outlets and 400 reporters, including those from Fuji TV, Tokyo Sports Newspaper, advertising company Dentsu and more.

A Cube Entertainment stated, “Japan has been showing an encouraging response to A Pink’s upcoming promotional activities in the country. We’ve been getting a flood of love calls from various affiliates. Please anticipate whether A Pink, which has established its image as an innocent and pure idol group in Korea, will be able to imprint its unique charms in Japan as well.”

Meanwhile, A Pink has mobilized fan club ‘Panda Japan’ prior to its official activities, with more than 4,000 members joining so far

I'm interested to see how they do tbh. I have no idea if they'll flop of succeed. No No No is my second least favorite song of theirs :/ I wonder if it'll sound catchier in Japanese however. Idk if Hallyu is dead in Japan tbh maybe not as popular as before but not dead. I feel like people also need to stop expecting them to get on Arashi/AKB levels.
can I also take the time to say that I really need them to have a sexy/mature comeback for Korea?

idk, i thought the k-pop girl groups that were more likely to succeed in japan did the sexy image rather than the pure and innocent one a pink have but eh we'll see

I think the general public in Japan don't really care for kpop, but I think if Apink can get a strong fan base in Japan they could do well, especially since they are releasing 9 versions of the single. I'm excited to hear the Japanese versions of the songs, NoNoNo and My My are 2 of my favourite Apink songs.

Yup they have the usual 3 versions normally released and the 6 other versions have individual member picture discs, I'm guessing it's sort of like T-ara's bunny style and la'boon releases.

Yeah, I like both songs but NoNoNo sounds like the lesser version of My My.

My My is so much better than NoNoNo tbh. The dance is cute and the chorus is so catchy and its just a good song.

It really depends on how Cube chooses to promote them. With so many kpop groups trying to get their foot in Japan, the idols need to know the language just as well as they know Korean otherwise they'd just be another kpop group trying to "leech" off money in the eyes of Japanese netz.

hallyu is waning but japan likes pop groups filled with grown women dressed like little kids so i honestly don't know how they'll do

I would prefer another korean comeback asap to establish their position but I won't really mind if they give mme the cute jams.
Just give me songs like "Jet Coaster Love", "Go Go Summer", "Bye Bye Happy Days", etc. KARA jp songs are the bbest. (for cute style)

Probably flop unless they actually learn the language and sing live. Japanese basically cant forgive groups that lip-sync. :( It hurts me to say this although I'm a fan of Namjoo & Bomi. DX
