Infinite’s Hoya Didn’t Talk to His Father for Eight Years

Infinite’s Hoya brought up his relationship with his father on broadcast.

While recording MBC’s Quiz to Change the World, Hoya revealed, “I stopped talking to my father after I dropped out of high school without telling my parents.”

Hoya, who was originally studying to enter a police academy, began dreaming of become a singer when he was in middle school and decided to leave school.

Hoya said, “I wasn′t on good terms with my father but after I dropped out, the relationship got worse. I didn’t contact him for 8 years.”

Hoya also said, “I thought my family was rich when I was young because my parents would buy me anything I wanted but I realized later that they were actually struggling from a lot of debt, to the point where red sequestration notes were tagged on things in the house. After I started making money, I paid off all the debt for my parents.”

It has been revealed that CSJH The Grace’s Lina will tie the knot in November of this year to popular musical actor Jang Seung Jo!

According to an insider of the entertainment industry, “Jang Seung Jo and Lina will be holding their wedding ceremony this coming November 22. They are slowly letting news of their marriage known by personally greeting their close friends together. They are very busy and focused on making preparations for the wedding while also completing their own schedules. It appears that they will have to put off their honeymoon for a bit due to musical schedules during the second half of the year.”

Earlier this year in February, the two of them were caught up in dating rumors, but at the time, the agencies of both sides had denied the relationship, stating that the two just had a close senior-junior relationship.

Jang Seung Jo and Lina first met in 2011, through a musical that they starred in together called “Temptation of Wolves,” and have been dating for over two years.

Second Screenwriter Joins ′My Secret Hotel′ After Original Writer Passes Away

My Secret Hotel has said its screenwriters are Kim Ye Ri and Kim Do Hyun, but it turns out writer Kim Ye Ri has passed away.

A rep from tvN My Secret Hotel′s production company Verdi Media commented on July 25, "Writer Kim Ye Ri was the one who first designed and wrote My Secret Hotel, but she passed away from cancer. Screenwriter Kim Do Hyun joined the team when Kim Ye Ri passed away after the drama secured a time slot."

"Episodes 1 to 4 were written by Kim Ye Ri. Kim Do Hyun will edit the episodes and write for the remaining episodes. The drama will run to episode 16," the rep said.

My Secret Hotel will air from August 18 after High Schooler King of Life concludes.

It is a mystery romance starring Yoo In Na and Jin Yi Han.

i once saw a ghost in an old graveyard, i was a little kid then. it was more fascinating than scary tbh. it was a foggy thing, pretty much looking like a living human except it suddenly dissapared in a grave. where i live graves are sometimes really big, house/chapel-looking things with legit doors. that ghost or whatever it was bascially reached the doors then and sorta melted. i still often visit that graveyard but i forgot which grave it was exactly, eh.
few weeks ago i saw something on my staircase and it scared me real bad. i don't think it was ghost, it was something worst. i still hope it was an illusion cause it was really terryfying... made my run to my room and pretend i'm dead so it won't come for me.

Yoo Ah In is Injured on the Set of ′Sado′

Yoo Ah In said he′s doing okay, following reports of an injury.

On July 25, reports stated that Yoo Ah In had been rushed to the hospital after being injured while shooting the movie Sado.

A rep from Yoo Ah In′s agency UAA told Newsen, "Yoo Ah In was injured slightly durnig a shoot for Sado on July 24. It wasn′t that serious of an injury. He just got a bruise on his forehead."

Rain to make a drama comeback!

Rain will finally be returning to the drama world.

An affiliate of SBS’s new drama My Lovable Girl (translated) announced on July 25, that Rain has confirmed to act in the drama, returning to the small screen about four years since he starred in The Fugitive Plan B in 2010.

My Lovable Girl is a romantic fantasy drama set in the K-pop world, depicting the story of young people who overcome their painful memories through music and love.

56 celebrities took group action against portal sites for violating their publicity rights, but the court ruled against them.

On July 24, the Seoul Western District Court ruled in favor of SK Communications, which owns the portal site Nate, in a publicity case filed by 56 celebrities.

The 56 celebrities include Kim Nam Gil and Bae Yong Jun, and the members of Girls′ Generation (SNSD), Super Junior, f(x), 2PM and miss A.

Taemin to Make Solo Debut in August

SHINee‘s youngest member Taemin is currently preparing for a solo debut.

According to several sources on July 25, Taemin is currently in the final stages of his solo album preparations. Although the official debut date has not be finalized, it is expected that Taemin will make his solo debut mid-August.

According to the sources, Taemin went to Los Angeles to meet with a choreographer, among other album preparations. With his preparations almost finalized, it will not be long until Taemin is ready to film his music video.

SHINee debuted in 2008 and aside from participating in special sub-united, Taemin would be the first of the SHINee members to promote as a solo act.

Royal Pirates’ Moon Opens Up About Brother Who Passed Away.

Royal Pirates member Moon opened up about a very painful part of his life in the July 23 episode of the SBS variety program, “Law of the City.”

In the July 23 broadcast of the variety show, the members of the New York team who are in Manhattan talked about their families.

After the day’s activities, all the members–John Park, Kim Sung Soo, Lee Chun Hee, Baek Jin Hee, Jung Kyung Ho, and Royal Pirates’ Moon–gathered and started sharing about their families. Kim Sung Soo began, “Who do you miss most?”

Moon opened up and said, “Actually, today is a special day for me.” He continued, “I had a brother who’s two years older than me. And today’s his death anniversary.”

All the members were quiet from the surprising revelation that they heard from the young singer and Baek Jin Hee had tears welling in her eyes.

Kim Sung Soo asked whether it was okay to ask about what happened, and Moon obliged. Clearing his throat, Moon started telling the members about the event that changed his life six years ago.

“Six years ago, we were going to the ice rink from the church. I, together with two other friends and my elder brother, got into a car accident. It was a really big accident, it even came up on the news in the US. It was there (that my brother passed away),” told Moon to the members.

The members were all shocked to hear about Moon’s story and everyone had apologetic expressions on their faces.

“It isn’t easy for me to talk about this but if I don’t think I can leave out talking about my hyung whenever I talk about myself,” Moon explained. Because the group has become somewhat like a family to him, Moon said that it helped for him to be comfortable and he was able to share his story and open up to them.

Kim Sung Soo, the eldest member of the group, said, “Although we cannot fill in the shoes of your brother, as time passes, we’ll become your brothers and sisters. I hope we’ll have that chance.”

However, during his solo interview with the PD, Moon revealed something more about the tragic accident. “My elder brother woke me up. After saying I’ll go with him, I ended up not going at all. So I just slept, and suddenly, I got a phonecall that there was an accident,” recounted Moon as tears fell down his eyes.

“I think this is the first time I’ve talked about this in six years. When hyung was here, I behaved immaturely so I’m very sorry. I’m lacking in many ways but hyung has helped me from the heavens… that’s why I’m making the music that I like now and I can live. I miss and love you, hyung,” added Moon. It was the first time he bared his sincere thoughts about his brother on television.

According to Royal Pirates’ agency, the song “YOU” is actually about Moon’s brother. “The song ‘YOU’ that Moon sang at the broadcast last week wherein they performed at a club was released in their first mini album. Moon wrote the lyrics to that song. At first, although the song seems like it is about love, it is actually a song that Moon dedicated to his brother who passed away in an accident,” added the agency.

Meanwhile, Royal Pirates has recently released their single album, “Betting Everything” on July 21.

EXO To Get New Variety Show, Shinhwa Will Make First Guest Appearance

Here’s some exciting news for EXO fans! On July 25, it was reported that a brand new variety program featuring EXO, as well as many different ‘legends’ of the music industry, such as Shinhwa, is currently being prepared to possibly premiere in early August.

The format of the show will follow the members of EXO as they get the opportunity to meet with various seniors in the music field.

It appears that the very first guest appearance on the program will be made by none other than first generation idol group Shinhwa! According to a broadcast representative and multiple other sources, the senior-junior groups have recently wrapped up filming for the first two episodes of the show on July 24 at a set in Gayang-dong.

As Shinhwa initially debuted as a group under SM Entertainment, they can be seen as EXO’s immediate senior group. The sources also shared that the teamwork between EXO and Shinhwa will bring about a great response from fans of both groups.

It has been confirmed that this upcoming program is being produced by CJ E&M and is said to begin airing on either Mnet or tvN.

Stay tuned for more details, as a recent post made on Mnet’s official Twitter may be hinting at the possibility of the new program’s broadcast date.
