EXO To Get New Variety Show, Shinhwa Will Make First Guest Appearance

Here’s some exciting news for EXO fans! On July 25, it was reported that a brand new variety program featuring EXO, as well as many different ‘legends’ of the music industry, such as Shinhwa, is currently being prepared to possibly premiere in early August.

The format of the show will follow the members of EXO as they get the opportunity to meet with various seniors in the music field.

It appears that the very first guest appearance on the program will be made by none other than first generation idol group Shinhwa! According to a broadcast representative and multiple other sources, the senior-junior groups have recently wrapped up filming for the first two episodes of the show on July 24 at a set in Gayang-dong.

As Shinhwa initially debuted as a group under SM Entertainment, they can be seen as EXO’s immediate senior group. The sources also shared that the teamwork between EXO and Shinhwa will bring about a great response from fans of both groups.

It has been confirmed that this upcoming program is being produced by CJ E&M and is said to begin airing on either Mnet or tvN.

Stay tuned for more details, as a recent post made on Mnet’s official Twitter may be hinting at the possibility of the new program’s broadcast date.

It probably will be....no jokes but I fell asleep on ep 4 or 5 or 6 i dont remember just know that shit put me to sleep and I had it afterwards and stopped watching
Baekho is a try hard

Majority of the group was dry
I felt like I was just watching a bunch of strangers forced to interact with each other

they are so darn boring it hurts. showtime was painful to sit through that i didn't even finish it and the only saving grace of showtime was the one who shall not be named.... with that said i'll be watching for the guest appearances. ill def. be watching the 1st ep for shinhwa they never fail to bring the lolz ^_^. also will Andy be participating?????

When i think back about showtime's entertaining moments, it always had something to do with Kris.
It'll be interesting to see who steps up and tries to entertain.
Also, have the recent baekyeon drama mellowed Baekhyun's variety game?
Will the quiet members talk more now that they're probably more used to the camera than they were when showtime started?
The changes in the group dynamic will be interesting.

This article's outdated already. There's a pic of exo K on mnets twitter and it's confirmed to broadcast on August 15th running for 12 episodes. Also the first episode is HOT, exo K, sm rookies and jeon hyunmoo as the MC. Leeteuk's going to be in this too apparently

Maybe it's because I'm not very interested in EXO anymore, but I'm not very excited about this.

I watched a few episodes of Showtime and it was...well, not really boring, but you could feel that most of what they said and did was scripted or done to make the fangirls go crazy in front of their screens. As a big fan of Yixing, I was also really pissed that he had only about one minute of screentime in each episode. ~.~

Eh, as much as I love 'em, they've been pretty boring lately. They even seem completely disinterested in everything they've been doing, namely performances. I think after the drama of this year, they need a long break so they can revitalize themselves. Let them go on vacation or be with family and friends. They've earned it.
