Date: 2014-07-25 02:49 pm (UTC)at this point i just want soo young to be single because CLEARLY they're not interested in making her and min suk friends.
which would be FUN, actually. there IS a story in having soo young and min suk work to get over their own feelings and move on to something better. it's like the writers r AFRAID to try something new even tho a grown ass woman dating a high schooler is NAGL. as cute as their dates r i just CANT get behind soo young and min suk as a couple! i cant do it! and i dont like soo young. i dont kno if it's the character or the acting but of all the rom coms i'm watching this season with the ~*hapless girl*~ she is the absolute worst.
jin woo is a whole other issue. it took them about 10 episodes to give him a redemption arc but it's all about how he wants soo young now that she's with someone else. they're padding that redemption with his care for his mother and standing up to his father as tho NOW he's more deserving of soo young when tbqh i would rather they connect naturally instead of him pursuing her/fighting min suk for her. i wanted those two together from the first episode so i'll probably hold on to this sinking ship for as long as i can...
and for the millionth time i wish they just had ah young's feelings for min suk be an honest crush because the stalking is a dark spot on an otherwise REALLY SWEET unrequited love story. when she breaks down and tells soo young that min suk is hurt i just FELT for her. and i love her relationship with jin woo---it humanizes him! i just wish it didnt revolve around soo young.
relationship issues aside i want to give a shout out to the supporting cast and what amazing jobs they do flanking the leads. i LOVE min suk's family to death and his friends r hilarious and cute. director lee doesnt get enough love---he totally brings the laughs and the scene where min suk's friends r making fun of him had me crying laughing. that scene at the track where they're all crying because min suk cant play hockey---MIN SUK'S TELLING THE DOCTOR TO TAKE HIS ARM INSTEAD! T____T uuuuuugggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
i'm SLOWLY getting disappointed with this drama but i dont have enough reason to stop watching...yet...

Date: 2014-07-25 03:22 pm (UTC)the supporting characters are awesome. I love Grandpa, he is so cute. I also love the best friends standing there while he cried in the rain.
I really wish the writers would just make Minsuk and Sooyoung be friends instead of a couple. Plus I agree with Jinwoo's character when he said she got over him and moved onto the next guy unrealistically fast.
Too much to ask for a drama where the female lead becomes stronger and more capable without ending in romance.

the scene with yooah telling sooyoung to go to minsuk reminded me of the interview the yooah actress gave where they asked her if it was lonely being in that one-sided love and she broke down in tears while giving her answer, then the sooyoung actress explained that they had just filmed an emotional scene and perhaps yooah was still feeling down because of it. not sure if it was that particular scene, but it was still hard to watch.
i've given up caring about the main lead coupling, i now just want jinwoo and yooah to find happiness and peace (although not together, wtf tumblr?). he's clearly going through some shit and i don't want another angel ending for soohyuk, is that so much to ask???

Date: 2014-07-25 04:49 pm (UTC)And I hope Yoo Ah ends up with one of the friends or something.
And I wish the romance thing wasn't happening because In Guk is hitting this drama out of the park with his acting. I'm so proud of him, he's really come far.

Date: 2014-07-26 12:24 am (UTC)ep 10 hit me hardest when minsuk learns that he wouldn't be able to play hockey anymore, that his close to home, because as an ex-soccer player with ankle problems, that was the worst decision i had to come to for myself, so during that scene i was practically bawling like a baby
in regards to yooah, she redeemed herself by telling her sister to go to minsuk, because the whole "hubby lee" thing was beyond annoying and obsessive, but i'm proud of her, it showed growth in her character
about soohyuk, i think he needs to work on himself and sort out his family issue before getting into any sort of relationship
now, i am curious as to what is up with minsuk's & hyunsuk's adopter father and the CEO, looking forward to hearing the mystery behind that and what hyunsuk has been up to
