2YOON to release country pop dance track, “24/7″

With the debut of 4minute‘s sub-unit 2YOON nearing, details have been revealed about Gayoon and Jiyoon‘s upcoming mini album, ‘Harvest Moon‘!

With the title and the country-themed teaser photos revealed, we had all been guessing at what type of project the unit had in mind. Well it seems we have our answer for Cube Entertainment has revealed that 2YOON will be attempting a genre never before tried in the world of Kpop – country pop!

The title track “24/7” is described to be a country pop dance track, and it sings of wanting to find enjoyment and freedom each day, escaping from the confinements of everyday life.

They say the track is guaranteed to have you nodding to the upbeat melody, and will of course, showcase the vocals of the two members.

In addition, comedian Jung Hyung Don will be making a cameo in the upcoming music video, adding to the fun atmosphere.

Stay tuned for the release on the 17th!

‘Model idols’ Nine Muses will be making a comeback, liked rumored previously, as a full nine-member group!

Star Empire broke the news on the 10th with the statement, “Nine Muses will be releasing a new mini album on the 24th and return to the domestic music scene… With new member Son Sung-Ah joining, they will promote as a nine member group.”

This is their first official release in 10 months since ‘Ticket‘, and the title track of the new album is their 4th collaboration with hit producing team, Sweetune.

With the news about the group returning, interest is rising for the group who hasn’t promoted with nine members since their debut days, having gone through a change in members. This is their first time promoting as a nine-member group in three years.

Sung-Ah has already revealed herself to fans a few times as she has been spotted in various photos and appeared at unofficial events.

The agency added, “Sung-Ah is a someone who had prepared for debut with the Nine Muses members back then… Nine Muses, who has become nine members once again, are currently working hard with their new music, so please look forward to them.”

Jaejoong’s birth mother shares her thoughts on meeting her son and netizen reactions

JYJ‘s Jaejoong‘s biological mother Oh Seo Jin will appear on the January 11th episode of new TV Chosun program ‘Persevering Life‘ and open up about her life.

She stated, “In the past, after I was divorced at a young age, while I went through many difficulties, an aquaintance persuaded me to send my son to a different home. However, I did not realize at the time that it would be an adoption.”

Jaejoong met his birth mother 20 years after they were separated, after he had become a huge star as a member of TVXQ. She revealed that the joy of being reunited with her son was short-lived, however, because she became known as “Jaejoong’s birth mother”, bringing on hurtful comments and reactions from netizens, especially those that claimed that she was using her son’s fame. She stated, “I even attempted suicide.”

Through the difficulties of her past, she stated that she learned many new things and is now living a new life as a “protector of families” in Korea. She continued, “I consider my difficult life a stepping stone and I want to help other families.”

‘Persevering Life’ will feature guests who have overcome difficult obstacles in life, as they share their stories and methods to recovery.

I'm pretty sure Jaejoong is on good terms with her. At least he was not that long ago.
I don't think you should judge on what the preview says alone. In the article she mentions working as the director of Republic of Korea’s Protect the Family organization. Maybe she wants to promote that, whis isn't a bad thing imo.

JYJ‘s Jaejoong is on a roll with the release of various teasers that are pumping up fans for the unveil of his solo album, ‘Mine‘. He is expected to tease you all again tomorrow with the most exciting teaser yet, the MV teaser, but before he does so, a few captures from the MV have been released!

From the release of these photos, it is apparent that the music video will include some dramatic scenes that are sure to leave you in awe.

Having impressed fans with his pre-release, “One Kiss“, which is quickly rising to the top of various music charts in several countries, the anticipation for his full release is growing even more.

Girlgroup 2NE1 member, Sandara Park, reveals her desire to act.

On the 8th, Sandara Park posted on her Twitter, "A little while back, I came to support Jung Hye Young unnie's very first movie, "Gangster Shaman"and went to the premiere. I don't even know how long it has been from since I last saw a movie aside from this one. It's been too long ago, and since I was excited to go the theater to see the movie, I even bought a large tub of popcorn to enjoy it with!" revealing her thoughts.

Sandara Park followed her tweet with, "I just knew that this movie would be a comedy.. Everyone, you would be getting your handkerchiefs because you'll laugh so much, tears would come out. Ack, I should not spoil it for you! I also want to be like Hye Young unnie and be a beautiful actress who does her job well and touch the audience's hearts," she said.

Lastly, Sandara Park tweeted, "Ah! Gangster Shaman! Opens on Jaunary 9! That's already tomorrow, right? Yoohoo! Someday, I want to act in a romantic comedy. Whoever will act together with me, I will brign on the acting storm. Please take care of me," she ended.

As part of 2NE1, a group that has been part of the Hallyu wave, Sandara Park's remarks drew a lot of attention from the fans. Especially since idol stars are in a situation where they also appear in a variety of dramas and films, Sandara Park's desire to act was met with positive encouragement and reactions from the fans.

Comedian Jung Hyung Don made a cameo in the music video of 2YOON’s debut single “24/7.”

A representative from Cube Entertainment revealed, “Jung Hyung Don made a surprise guest appearance in the music video. He’s really close to 4Minute and when he heard about 2YOON preparing their debut album, he was very interested. Despite his busy schedule, he accepted the offer without any hesitation. The music video will be as fun and energetic as the music. And you can definitely expect some laughs from his cameo. “

Close friend Jung Hyung Don wasn’t the only comedian to appear in 2YOON’s music video. Gag concert comedian and labelmate Kim Giri was also eager to participate in the sub-unit’s debut music video and is expected to deliver quite the funny performance as well.

2YOON’s title track “24/7″ is a country pop number which will be the first at the genre on the Korean pop music scene. It is a cheerful and uptempo track with an addictive melody. The song is about escaping the boring routine of everyday life.

Meanwhile, 2YOON’s debut mini album “Harvest Moon” will be released on January 17 on digital sites.

NU’EST endorses McDonald’s + to release new album in February

Pledis Entertainment revealed some exciting new for NU’EST fans just now as they’ve belatedly announced the signing of NU’EST as the endorsement model of McDonald‘s as well as a hint about an upcoming release!

The boys obtained a CF deal with the fast food chain restaurant, and have already unveiled the first ad that features the boys eagerly asking their CEO for meat during their rehearsal. The boys are rewarded with McDonald’s and eagerly chow down.

A McDonald’s rep revealed the reason for picking the rookies as their endorser, stating, “Although NU’EST is a rookie, their passion shown through their performances and practices left a lasting impression and were thus appointed as endorsement models.”

NU’EST also shared their feelings as they commented, “We were nervous as it was our first CF, but we were able to work with our CEO in our actual practice room to build up new experiences, so it was a good opportunity… We will work hard to show you more of us through various fields.”

In addition to the endorsement deal, Pledis also dropped a comment that should come as exciting news for fans as it was revealed that NU’EST is currently in the midst of final album preparations for the album that will be released early February!

Go Young Wook taken into custody

Go Young Wook (36), who’s currently being investigated for sexually assaulting minors, has been taken into custody.

Seoul Western District Court judge Lee Dong Geun issued an arrest warrant against Go Young Wook for 4 counts of sexual misconduct and assault against minors. The judge stated he found reason to take the former Roo’ra member into custody due to concerns that he would tamper with evidence or flee.

With this new development, it looks like the police will be more aggressive about the investigation. Go Young Wook is reported to be jailed and undergoing interrogation.

The accused himself commented, “I’m sorry for causing a stir. I will [be cooperative with the investigation].”

I heard that you have written songs for JYJ Kim Jaejoong. How did it happen?

I was told that it would be Jaejoong-ssi’s 1st solo album. He wanted an image transformation. Maybe because he has been active in the music industry for a long time, he has many ambitions for his music. He has musicality. He came and asked me for a song, so I gave him one. After that, he called me and asked for one more song. So I gave him another one. While working on songs for Jaejoong-ssi, I didn’t cater the songs for the singer and instead [freely] made them in the style I wanted. However, he liked them and really tried his best, which made my affection for him grow. He was satisfied with the music and made me satisfied too, which was rewarding for me. It was a new experience. I’m very glad that someone with an idol-origin like Jaejoong-ssi can have such passion for music. Through this work, I feel even more passionate and also got many new ideas. Personally, I’m very thankful.

On his Twitter on January 10, producer Jo Young Chul from singer IU’s agency LOEN Entertainment uploaded a photo of IU along with an explanation, “Ji Eun always seems happiest and most comfortable when she is at a recording studio.”

In the picture, IU, whose real name is Ji Eun, is standing inside a studio in front of a microphone and with a set of headphone on her head. In her simple grey sweater and white-striped black jogging pants, IU indeed looks comfortable and relaxed in the photo.

Earlier at SBS’s “Inkigayo,” IU has recently hinted her comeback by saying, “Only a little while left till my comeback. I am preparing something awesome for you, so I hope you all look forward to it.”
