This. 2NE1 basically rode on the coattails of Big Bang's tour and phoned in their comeback. I don't see how they could be anyone's best girl group for 2012 when they were barely active.

I was interested in the tv show/radio programme until I realised artists that weren't from SK were only getting the barest of playtime. Which is bullshit, considering the entire operation runs off of the SBS Chinese services.

Ngl, I was pretty much addicted to it for quite some time but ugh, judging my previous self for actually liking it D:
But seriously even when they play other countries, its the same groups over and over. There is no diversity. I love Big Bang but they play them like ten times every episode and it makes me want to punch someone. And then people watching the show ask for more of the same groups and its like UGH.

I'm sorry, I am just so ragefull over this show. It had so much potential.

I feel the same way, tbqh.
I used to put in requests for a bunch of different Japanese and Mandarin songs, but would just get ignored. I can't imagine how people who like, for example, Thai music feel.

I think popasia would lose funding if they cut the crap and became a k-pop channel like they so clearly are aiming to be, so it's never going to happen. :|

For about two months I was requesting one particular jpn band and I NEVER got it. Then it was coming up to my bday and asked them to play them for me then and I was COMPLETELY ignored even though I got a good ten+ people to help request it for me. So someone on my tlist asked if they still had the rights to play the PV (as they had played them before) and one of the staff INSTANTLY replied and said that they did! seriously wtf. And yet when people request Kpop they got it instantly, or they don't get ignored.

Its like "okay we'll keep the people who like so and so music which isn't kpop by playing one song from that country each week!" I understand that a lot of the shows fanbase probably only listens to kpop music, but i don't see the harm in supporting other countries and possible giving them a larger fanbase. Along with possibly getting certain kpop stans to extend their music barriers.

Not getting my bday request, especially when there were like three twitter requests that got played that episode, was the end of the line for my interest in that show.

I was looking at the tracking for this and it seems that both the ViPs an the EXOtics organised a pretty comprehensive vote dump, they were exhorting their fans both in australia and OS to vote every day (which was legal) and it seems they did.

For some reason 2NE1 gets a lot of airplay over here, they are always being requested, so it's no surprise that they won, I personally voted for F(x).

I was side eyeing a lot of the nominees, as some were definitely pulled out of someones arse.
