Dal Shabet’s homepage hacked again!

On June 12th it was discovered that girl group Dal Shabet‘s homepage was hacked!

The surprising thing is that the supposed hack looked very similar to the hack from SBS TV‘s drama “Phantom“.

Upon entering Dal Shabet’s homepage netizens were greeted by the OST from “The Phantom of the Opera” along with the letter H. This is the same hack used by Daniel Choi‘s computer whiz character Hades in the drama.

All of the content from Dal Shabet’s homepage was erased and it seems it has since been restored. The company in charge of managing the site stated, “It wasn’t hacked but there was an error in the server that caused all the data to be erased. We have immediately restored it from backups.”

The homepage was hacked back in January due to a feud between B1A4 and Dal Shabet fans. In related news Dal Shabet is currently promoting their song Bang Bang.

Shin Se Kyung Releases Digital Single

Earlier today, the actress finally released the single, “You Were Sweet” through major music websites.

“You Were Sweet” medium-tempo ballad track accompanied with acoustic sounds from indie band, Sweden Laundry, who has been selected through an audition.

Meanwhile, Shin Se Kyung will not run any promotions for this song, and the public will only be able to hear her singing voice through her albums.

Joo Ji Hoon confirmed for SBS New drama "Five Fingers"

Joo Ji Hoon has been confirmed for the upcoming SBS drama, “Five Fingers,” which marks his comeback to the small screen.

“Five Fingers” is to follow the currently airing “A Gentleman’s Dignity,” and is being produced and written by a star team of directors and writers.

“Five Fingers” is the story about how some troubled young adults overcome their past scars and make efforts to find their dreams and love. Joo Ji Hoon will play a talented pianist, who struggles with an unfortunate family situation.

Due to Joo Ji Hoon’s past drug scandals, some viewed this casting unfavorably. However, the head director, Choi Young Hoon PD stated, “Joo Ji Hoon’s drama character has both good and evil in him and we thought Joo Ji Hoon’s soft but tough-guy charms were perfect for this role.”

Choi PD continued, “Since his role is a pianist, we needed someone with acting skills, as well as a basic knowledge and appreciation for music. Joo Ji Hoon plays piano, guitar and other instruments and is known to be a good singer so we are very excited.”

Joo Ji Hoon’s agency, Key East Entertainment stated, “Joo Ji Hoon is deeply reflecting upon his disappointing actions of the past. Because he is still very apologetic, he hesitated a lot about coming back to the small screen. But because the directors and writers were so keen on casting him for the drama, Joo Ji Hoon was able to join the cast.”

They continued, “We hope that Joo Ji Hoon will be pardoned for his past mistakes through his good acting skills, which he wishes to partake as if it’s his first time. He is determined not to let everyone down since many people have given him this great opportunity.”

“Five Fingers” is still in its casting process and will air after “A Gentleman’s Dignity.

Core Contents Media has officially unveiled the profile details as well as the profile shots of T-ara‘s new eighth member, Ahreum.

On June 14th, new profile pictures of Ahreum were released online, showcasing a more up-to-date look than her previously released shots.

Core Contents Media revealed, “T-ara’s eighth member is 19-year-old Ahreum, who is slim and stands at 167 cm tall with milky skin.”

The agency elaborated, “Ahreum’s parents were heavily involved in the music industry… Ahreum is a talented member who has inherited her parents’ abilities.”

Currently, Ahreum is in her third year as a student at Hanlim Arts High School and was praised for her superior singing skills at the time of her admission into the school.

Ahreum will officially join T-ara for ‘Day by Day’ promotions, including the upcoming inauguration ceremony of the group’s official fan club, QUEEN’s, on July 14th. She will also participate in T-ara’s first solo concert in August.

In related news, T-ara’s new ninth member, Dani, will appear in the group’s upcoming music video and begin her activities as a part of the group in December.

glorious Tei and Handsome People gear up for their return!

Singer Tei's rock band, Handsome People, will be making a July comeback after 1 year and 2 months.

The last release was the band's second single "Crazy" in April of last year. According to their agency Fluxus Entertainment on June 12th, Tei and the fellow members of Handsome People will drop a new album this July.

They're busy working on the last minute touches right now. After having exited the show "I'm A Singer" last year, Tei's been busy working on musicals.

Handsome people has an acid band sound, having started as the brain child of Tei who serves as the vocalist and Choi Young-ho, who is the keyboardist and producer.

This album will have over 10 supporting tracks. The band members have composed, penned the lyrics, and produced the songs themselves. Fluxus describes the new sound as electronic spiced up with some rock.

The group will also have a new guitarist member, Uhm Joo-hyuk. Um was a member of the band Siberian Husky from 1999 to 2002 off of KBS 2TV's "Top Band" program.

Korean Netizens Select Best Kdrama Kisses

In honor of Kiss Day, an unofficial romantic holiday celebrated every June 14 in Korea, netizens voted Ji Hyun Woo and Yoo In Na’s dreamy tip-toe kiss in tvN’s “Queen In Hyun’s Man” as the best kiss ever.

An online dating site conducted the survey, asking 1,083 single men and women in their twenties and thirties to vote for the best kdrama kiss. Yoo In Na and Ji Hyun Woo’s kiss raked in 39% of the votes, taking home the title as the “best kdrama kiss.” Jang Dong Gun and Kim Ha Neul’s cherry-bloosom kiss in “A Gentleman’s Dignity” followed with 25% of the votes. “Rooftop Prince’s” tear kiss between Park Yoo Chun and Han Ji Min came in third with 20%, and Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won’s refrigerator kiss in “The King 2hearts” came in fourth with 16% of the votes.

A representative from the online dating service explained, “Ji Hyun Woo’s recent public confession attracted a lot attention, as well as envy from many netizens. It’s probably one of the reasons as to why netizens voted their kiss as the best kiss in dramas.

Ji Sung's new drama "Haeundae Lovers"

New drama alert! Upcoming KBS drama Haeundae Lovers, named for that famous stretch of city-on-beach in Busan, is the next project from writer Hwang Eun-kyung, of City Hunter and New Heart. The show is currently courting Ji Sung (Protect the Boss) as its hero, which would mean a reunion for New Heart’s star and writer, if he signs on.

The 16-episode drama is described as a romantic comedy, but the plot sounds thicker than your average bear: A detective on the organized crime task force is chasing down a gang when something happens to make him lose his memory. He ends up wandering through Haeundae and somehow finds himself entangled in that same gang’s criminal activities.

Huh. Interesting. Does the cop end up a criminal? And where does the romance fit in? Is the mob boss a fierce gangster lady? ‘Cause that’d be fun. It seems like a fresh idea to set amnesia into the premise for comedic purposes. It’s at least the version of that trope that hasn’t been done to death, and I rather like the cop-forgets-he’s-a-cop-turned-gangster idea. Isn’t there some pop psychology about cops and criminals having very similar personalities? Makes you wonder if it’s a similar set of instincts, just one set reined in by law and order.

So far, two big plusses: an all-location shoot in Haeundae, and the odd premise, which sounds like wacky fun. Haeundae Lovers will follow Big on Mondays/Tuesdays on KBS.

BOB4 releases debut MV "Mystery Girl"

A new male band has emerged! BOB4 (Band of Boys 4) released their debut single and music video, "Mystery Girl," on June 15th. The band was accompanied by former Dal Shabet leader, Viki, who recently exited the group to pursue a solo career.

Viki featured in the track, "Mystery Girl," as the rapper.

BOB4 offers a unique and distinctive music, and are ready to show the world their skills.

The leader, Sung Yoobin (24), is well known for his talents as a songwriter and is also the group's lead vocalist. Additionally, the band consists of drummer Hwang Inhwae (24), guitarist Choi Minsoo (23), and bass player Kim Myungkyu (21).

The music video for "Mystery Girl" featured actors Kim Minsu and Lee Taesung, which was shot in the streets of Itaewon and Hongdae.

In addition, BOB4 is set to take on their first "Sound Holic: Super Rookie Concert," which will take place on June 21st at 8PM KST at Hongik University.

2NE1 attends Red carpet / World Premiere Event for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’

The members of 2NE1 who admitted to being huge fans of the ‘Spiderman‘ movies had an opportunity to meet the superhero in person. 2NE1 attended the red carpet and World premiere event in Korea for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man‘ held at the Lotte Mall Kimpo Airport Store on June 14th. At the event, the girls had a chance to speak with Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, along with Rhys Ifans, and Director Marc Webb.

The members expressed their eagerness to watch the movie for themselves, and the staff and cast were also taught to say ‘daebak‘ to the crowd in Korean. Unfortunately, CL was unable to attend the event due to a conflicting schedule.

YG plans to debut SuPearls in September "at the latest"

YG Entertainment revealed that they are officially beginning to prepare for the debut of SuPearls.

On June 15th, Yang Hyun Suk revealed to Star News, “We have already prepared a dorm for SuPearls as well as a separate practice room for the group…SuPearls will debut as soon as possible, and their first album will be released in September at the latest.”

He continued, “SuPearls already possess skills that have been acknowledged and have a lot of fans who miss them. This is why we decided on an early debut…It is planned that I will be in charge of the whole production process of SuPearls’ debut album.”

Currently, YG is putting all their effort to create a female vocal group like Big Mama, and is sparing no cost. As such, he will personally be involved in every detail for SuPearls’ debut.

Meanwhile, Lee Ha Yi is also reported to be preparing for a solo activities under YG Entertainment as well in addition to group activities.

Idols Junho of 2PM, Siwan of ZE:A and Gongchan of B1A4 have been spotted wearing the same denim vest and it has become a hot topic.

Each idol has used the same item for a different effect, allowing their individual charms to shine; Junho showing a refined quality, Siwan looking stylish, and Gongchan presenting a unique look.

2PM's Junho was spotted in the vest on the group's official YouTube channel in a Coca-Cola advertisement. He was wearing black skinny jeans, a red check shirt and the denim vest. The look was completely exceptional refinement.

Siwan wore the vest on the MBC sitcom, "Standby," following the hot spring trend of denim by pairing the vest with red skinny jeans and an apricot t-shirt, making for a stylish chicness.

B1A4's Gongchan donned the vest in question during his group's performance on SBS's Inkigayo. He coordinated it with a white character tee. Particularly by combining the denim with the character tee, he suddenly created a new, outstandingly unique look.
