JYJ’s Jaejoong Having Fun While Trapped in a Room

On June 12, JYJ’s Jaejoong shared a series of photos taken at the set of his upcoming movie, “Jackal is Coming.” He shared the photos on his personal Twitter, showing increased activity on his SNS channel. He first tweeted the message, “Sob sob,” with a photo showing him tied up and trapped in a room. The scene is expected to be part of “Jackal is Coming,” a movie about a top star getting kidnapped by a female killer.

Is Nana the new leader of After School??

With the recent double-header news of Kahi leaving the group, as well as After School‘s impending comeback, attention has shifted to talks about who will be next-in-line to fill Kahi’s shoes as the new leader of the group.

Eagle-eyed netizens have spotted what may be a veiled hint in one of their teaser photos for their upcoming “Flashback” comeback album. In the group shot featuring all eight of the members, Nana alone was revealed to be wearing gold-plated shoes instead of the usual black the rest of the girls are sporting.

With their “Bang!” comeback two years ago, then-leader Kahi exhibited a similar style with her trademark gold drum, which differentiated her from the rest of the group and helped mark her position as the leader of After School.

Pledis Entertainment maintained a neutral stance on the issue, neither denying nor confirming, saying, “You’ll be able to find out when you watch their comeback stage on the 21st”.

VIXX receives love calls from overseas companies

Jelly Fish Entertainment‘s rookie idol group VIXX is making waves overseas with their debut. They’ve been reportedly receiving love calls from several international establishments.

On June 11th, representatives revealed, “We’ve been receiving an influx of love calls from Japan, Thailand, and other locations overseas.”

Currently promoting their debut title track, “Super Hero“, the boys received instant attention upon their debut for their outstanding vocal performance skills that have caught the eyes of music officials both in and out of Korea.

Representatives continued, “They’ve always had more international fans since their pre-debut. A lot of big record labels from Japan and Thailand have been consistently asking to work with the boys. We are considering international advancement considering the global market we’re in, but we don’t feel we’re at the contract level yet.”

The boys are squeezing in time to study languages to prepare for their advancement amidst their promotions.

We VIPs love Big Bang songs, this is fact. But what do people who are not KPOP fans, people that have never heard Korean music in their lives, would think if they heard a Big Bang hit?

To find out we, from Big Bang Brazil, did a short interview with some people who attend the Grão Café, located on Assembléia Street, the center of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). As we were in a cafe, nothing would be more appropriate than to present the song "Café", the last track of their 4th mini album.

Let's see what people think of the melody, lyrics and the performance of the song "Cafe".

Big Bang Makes Grammy Homepage Again

Big Bang made it to the Grammy’s home page again! On June13, the Grammy Awards’ official website (grammy.com) featured a photo of Big Bang on their homepage.

The featured photo was snapped at the Hyundai Card Collaboration Press Conference on June 5, and is the group’s second time on the website’s homepage.  Big Bang was the first Korean idol group to make it onto the site’s homepage when they made their first feature this past March.

Big Bang is in good company: next to Big Bang on the site are Will Smith, Justin Bieber, and other world famous producers and musicians.  Black Eyed Peas’ Fergie and country singer, Sheryl Crow, can be seen featured next to the group as well.

The caption to the photo reads, “Putting the pop in K-pop, Big Bang appear in Seoul, South Korea, on June 5”.

Response from American fans was hot, with over 50 comments on the photo as soon as it went up.  Foreign fans showed a lot of interest, with comments such as, “CONGRATULATIONS.I am so happy for you.I love you always.,” “wooow fantastic baby!,” “bigbang is the best,” and “I love Bigbang, they are amazing!”

Lee Hyori once again impresses fans with her figure

Unedited photos of singer Lee Hyori are once again receiving attention for capturing the diva’s ‘glamorous’ figure.

The photos were previously taken at the ‘Cotton Day 2012‘ event, which Hyori attended as an honorary ambassador.

Hyori’s fit S-line was definitely apparent in the vibrant one-piece orange dress that showcased her legs. She added a pair of silver stilettos to complete the sexy look. Though netizens have had their suspicions regarding the ‘real bodies’ of celebrities, the ‘no-photostop’ pictures of the singer did not disappoint as they fully revealed Hyori’s slim and healthy figure.

Netizens who were impressed with Hyori’s fit physique remarked, “Her body improved after she became a vegetarian,” and “I gasped when I saw these images.”

Haha, well…I guess I’m more comfortable with Ji Hoon. We were in Goong together as colleagues who have grown up (in career) together like friends. He’s honest and I still have good memories of him from back then.
Honestly, both are not really my style as an ideal man. Kang Ji Hwan has a pretty man style and is kind, but you know how women don’t like men who are kind to every woman (laugh). So if I must choose between the two, I’d give a vote to Joo Ji Hoon with a caring mind.

Pledis' Basement Baby Son Dam Bi's Comeback Pushed Back To August

‘Dancing queen’ Son Dam Bi, who announced her comeback for next month, has unfortunately pushed it back to August.

According to Pledis, Son Dam Bi plans on releasing her new album immediately after her drama, MBC‘s ‘Light and Shadow‘, comes to an end

With a total of 50 episodes, ‘Light and Shadow’ began airing in November of 2011 and was scheduled to end in May, which initially lead Son Dam Bi to make her return in July. However, due to the 14-episode extension of ‘Light and Shadow’, the singer and actress had no choice but to delay her comeback to a later date in August.

Although August will overlap with the 2012 London Olympics, Son Dam Bi has decided to release her album right after ‘Light and Shadow’ ends filming as it will be her first comeback in two years.

Som Dam Bi released her album ‘The Queen‘ in July of 2010 and her digital single,’dB Rider‘, two months later. Despite her busy schedule for the MBC drama, the singer has been preparing for her upcoming album since the second half of last year. She has completed recording the album and mastering the choreography for her comeback song. All that is left is to begin filming the music video.

A representative from Pledis stated, “As this is her first comeback in a while, she is aiming to perfect her comeback preparation. Although her comeback has been delayed, we will take advantage of the extra time to better prepare for it.”

It has been revealed that Taecyeon is currently working on a new song for 2PM, thus making many question as to when 2PM is making their comeback.

On June 13th, Taecyeon posted on his Twitter, "I can't come up with the melody for the bridge of the ballad song I'm writing. Do I need to watch a sad movie or something?"

2PM recently successfully wrapped up their Japan tour with the final concert date in Budokan, and the members has since then been pursuing their individual activities.

Jung-Ah to become After School’s new leader

After the rumors that suggested that Nana may become the next leader along with Pledis Entertainment‘s vague answer that neither refuted nor confirmed the rumors, many had been awaiting news about the next leader of After School.

On June 13th, a source within Pledis Entertainment tipped Star N, “It seems the empty leader position with the graduation of Kahi will be taken on by Jung-Ah.”

With Kahi’s leave and news of solo career, fans and netizens alike had been anxious to see who would fill her shoes. It seems that Jung-Ah, a member who has promoted for a long while alongside Kahi as well as now the oldest of the group, is most likely going to be leading After School with their comeback.

The source explained, “Although there is still discussion going on, unless something happens, Jung-Ah, as the oldest unni, will be promoting from the leader position.”

In related news, After School will be coming back with their new track, “Flashback” on the 21st with their newest member Ga-Eun.

U-KISS’s AJ Proves, “You Only Need 2.5 Years to Enter Columbia University

U-KISS’s member AJ is revealed to be a genius.

In the episode of KBS 2’s quiz show 1 vs 100 that aired on June 12, all members of U-KISS got eliminated on the fourth level. Han Suk Joon, the host of the show, said, “AJ, I heard that you have a smart brain.”

AJ is currently enrolled to Columbia University in the U.S. When Han asked, “When did you study?” AJ replied, “Before I debuted with U-Kiss, I had two and a half years for myself. So I used those years wisely and entered the university.”

On hearing this, Han said, “People study a lot to enter that school, but you’ve only spent a short amount of time. You must be a genius.”

When AJ said that the questions for the quiz were hard, he joked, “But they must be easier than entering Columbia University,” and inspired laughter.

The preview of the recent movie 'The Thieves' included a short but passionate kiss scene of Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun, attracting much attention.

In the revealed preview, Kim Soo Hyun has his shirt off and is embracing Jun Ji Hyun's head with one arm, intensely leading the kiss scene. The relationship between the two is arousing much curiosity.

After conducting the poll of the upperclassman most wanted by female students, this week, DC Inside asked the male users which female celebrity they felt had the most ideal ‘college hoobae‘ image.

The poll took place between June 5th to 12th, and users named top Korean celebrities like actress Lee Yeon Hee, KARA‘s Hara, miss A‘s Suzy, IU, 4minute‘s HyunA, 2NE1‘s Dara, SISTAR‘s Hyorin, After School‘s UEE, f(x)‘s Sulli, SECRET‘s Hyosung, T-ara‘s Jiyeon, Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon and Seohyun, and more.

But the female star that stole the spotlight was none other than Girls’ Generation’s leader, Taeyeon. Thanks to her powerful vocal talent and charm, Taeyeon received a total of 9,020 (34.1%) out of 26,436 votes, including votes from female fans who admire her easy-going personality and image.

Actress Jung Ah Yool passes away

It has been revealed that rookie actress Jung Ah Yool (25) has passed away.

On June 14th, according to Jung Ah Yool’s acquaintances, the actress hung herself in her home on the 12th and was rushed to the hospital after she was discovered; however, it was too late. The police are looking into the case investigating other possible causes and exact reason for her death.

Acquaintances have stated that the actress had been suffering from depression. On the early morning of June 11th, the day before her death, Jung Ah Yool had posted on her Facebook, “Nothing consoles me“.

Not too much is known about the actress other than that her contract with Myname Entertainment had ended 6 to 7 months ago and that she had been a singer trainee previously before becoming an actress. The 25-year-old actress appeared in KBS‘s ‘Love, Love“.
