nobodyelse-care.livejournal.comEver since Korean hip-hop superstars Tiger JK and Tasha Reid aka Drunken Tiger saw the music video for EE‘s “Curiosity Kills,” they’ve wanted to work with the man behind the visuals: digital media artist Lumpens. They finally pinned him down to conceptualize and direct the music video for “Get It In,” which premiered just last week. We went behind the scenes and watched Tasha in “action school,” where she learned a few kung fu moves, how to convincingly wield a sword and, most importantly, how to look cool while flying through the air suspended by wires (Tiger JK’s favorite part).

BoA’s official Japanese fanclub, SOUL, held their 5th annual fanmeeting and birthday event for her on November 5th in Shinagawa, Tokyo, Japan. Being the guest of honor herself, BoA performed songs of her fans’ choice during the event, and also revealed the music video for her upcoming single “Milestone”, which is set for a December 7th release. Stars and friends such as Crystal Kay, Daichi Miura, and fellow labelmates TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, and f(x), also sent their birthday wishes via a special video message, which was shown during the fanmeeting.

Six-member boy group TEEN TOP celebrated leader C.A.P‘s birthday.
On November 4th, TEEN TOP updated their me2DAY with a photo and some messages. “Hyung, Happy 20th birthday (Ricky). Happy birthday to our leader C.A.P hyung (Changjo). TEEN TOP’s charismatic leader C.A.P! The ca…ca…candy tastes good (Niel, Chunji). The end.”
In the photo, the boys surround C.A.P. and prepare to applaud as he gets ready to blow out the candles.

The coast guard official in the west port city of Incheon said a South Korean Navy vessel spotted a wooden boat carrying the 21 North Koreans earlier this week in waters about 38 kms south of the disputed western sea border between the two Koreas.
The North Koreans were handed over to the South Korean coast guard immediately and asked for asylum, the official said.
They have been under interrogation by a joint investigation team, the official said without elaborating further.
The Yonhap news agency said the five-tonne boat was found on Sunday, surrounded by Chinese fishing boats, indicating the North Koreans intended to hide from view of the North Korean coast guard.
According to Seoul officials, more than 20,000 North Koreans have defected to the South, fleeing chronic hunger and political repression in the impoverished North since the end of the 1950-53 Korean War.
The rival Koreas are still technically at war after signing only an truce pact, not a peace treaty.
Fishing boats from both sides frequently drift over the Northern Limit Line (NLL), which is hard to pinpoint without sophisticated equipment.

With a blue pen, Dr. Seo Young-tae drew arches on Chang Hyang-sook’s eyelids, marking where to cut and stitch to create a new fold to make her eyes look larger and rounder. It is an operation so common here that most women on Seoul streets seem to have a double fold, though only one of every five Koreans is born with one.
“Promise you’ll do a great job on my eyes,” Ms. Chang said to Dr. Seo. “Never mind the pain. I can take it.”
For Ms. Chang, 25, a makeup artist, the 2.3 million won, or about $2,000, eye job is just the finishing touch in a program several months long to remake her face. In the previous two months, Ms. Chang had not only had her teeth rearranged, but her jaw bones cut and repositioned, for 22 million won.

The soldier, Pfc. Kevin Flippin, 21, who is attached to the Army’s Second Infantry Division, will have a week to appeal the sentence.
Private Flippin was accused of breaking into the woman’s residence in a low-budget motel on Sept. 24, repeatedly raping her and stealing 5,000 won, or $4.50. The American government had apologized to South Korea in connection with the case and swiftly handed over the soldier to South Korean authorities. Prosecutors demanded a sentence of 15 years in prison.
“While the defendant satisfied his sadistic and perverted sexual desire for three hours, the victim was forced to endure fear and shame at her own home, where she was entitled to have her peace,” said a ruling written by Park In-sik, the presiding justice at the district court in Uijeongbu, north of Seoul.
In 1992, an American soldier was sentenced to 15 years for raping and murdering a South Korean bar worker. That assault helped set off a prolonged civic campaign to demand greater South Korean jurisdiction over American service members involved in crimes and led to protests calling for the withdrawal of United States troops.
Most South Koreans welcome the presence of the 28,000 American troops, whom they consider essential to their defense against North Korea. But crimes committed by American service members against South Koreans have often set off anti-American protests.
The ruling on Tuesday came amid growing calls for harsher punishments for sexual crimes in general in South Korea. A recent series of sensational cases has prompted politicians and judges to support longer prison terms for offenders.

So we just had a little chat with Miss G.NA! Exciting right? And she ensures us that she’s very excited for the upcoming Kpop Masters concert, as we all are!
“Just wow!!” She breathes. “Very excited!! You know, I was checking twitter and someone retweeted something about ‘G.NA performing at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas’ and I was like ‘yeaaaahhh right, this isn’t me.’ And then later I had a meeting with my company and they told me, ‘Oh we were gonna tell you tonight and this is what’s gonna happen and you’ve been invited!’ And I was like ‘Oh my god! What do I do! Who’s going?! I had so many questions. I still have so many questions! It was just really, really nerve wracking. It’s like a really really big stage.
