It’s easy to stereotype idol actors as untalented due to the many acting controversies they’re swept in once they actually try their hand in acting. Unfortunately, this is unfair to some idol-turned-actors that actually do have the talent to make it in the industry, which is why Sports Chosun brought together 10 entertainment reporters to choose the idol actors that they think are the most undervalued.

Check out who made it below! )

It is a telling sign of who is the rising star in North Korea: state-run television showing octogenarian party secretaries bowing to a man their grandchildren’s age before accepting the smiling man’s handshake or kowtowing to his instructions.

year after Kim Jong-un made his public debut as North Korea’s leader-in-waiting, scenes like that — the old party elite groveling — have become a staple of North Korea’s propagandist media, a crucial tool for the country’s leader, Kim Jong-il, to elevate his son as his successor.

“The obvious message of all this to North Koreans is that Kim Jong-un is now dictating to the top elite,” said Cheong Seong-chang, a North Korea specialist at the Sejong Institute in South Korea. “It reflects the regime’s confidence about his status as successor and about another hereditary succession.”

When Kim Jong-un, thought to be in his late 20s, emerged from obscurity a year ago this past week as a four-star general and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party, the first thing the outside world noticed was the obesity he appeared to have inherited from his father and his grandfather, the late Kim Il-sung, the founder of North Korea. (Some South Korean news media outlets speculated that he might have undergone plastic surgery to more closely resemble his grandfather, a godlike figure among North Koreans.)

G.NA ecently guested on MBC Every1‘s 'Weekly Idol' and put her profile to the test in the show’s ‘rewrite your profile’ corner.

K-Pop fans are already used to female celebrities cheating on their profile measurements to maintain a certain image with the public.  With a perfect body like G.NA’s, you’d think she wouldn’t have to stretch the numbers a bit, but she honestly revealed on the show, “My profile says that I’m 168 cm (5’6″) tall and weigh 47 kg (103 pounds) but it’s not the truth.  It’s impossible to weigh this little with my height.”

She continued, “I’m not short and I have a lot of toned muscles so it’d be impossible for me to realistically weigh this little.  But I didn’t write my profile that way on purpose.  I do feel guilty whenever I see it on my profile.  Instead of obsessing over my weight, I tend to just try and maintain a healthy balance.”

G.NA’s actual weight wasn’t too far off from her profile, as it was revealed to be 50 kg (110 pounds).

Check out the full broadcast on October 1st!

Is it just me or has she lost a lot of weight since her last round of promotions? :(

Girl group Brown Eyed Girls’ main vocal Jea has surprised fellow member Gain with a sudden statement.

In a recent interview conducted with MBC entertainment news program “Section TV”, Jea revealed that she would like 2AM’s Jo Kwon and Gain, the two having previously starred in “We Got Married” as a virtual couple, to actually get married.

On this day’s filming, Jea told the MCs, “I want Gain and Kwonnie to just get married. If it’s Kwon, I can trust him.”

In addition, when questioned, “What changed the most for BEG after their debut?” Jea answered while smiling shyly, “Money.”

She then startled the cast by bursting into tears after adding,“Before debut, even if we bought one serving of ddukbokki to eat, student Gain had to pay the same amount (as others). When I think of then, I feel the most apologetic to Gain.”

This acted as a trigger for the other members as they thought of their past hardships, causing them to cry as well.

This day’s episode also will hold the content of how Gain’s ‘dolphin notes’ came up, their relationship with the Wonder Girls, and BEG’s special mission to get friendship rings fitted.
