Press Conference in Beijing
Below is only a spot translation of the conference, not a full one.
Q: When will TVXQ hold an Asian concert tour?
Y: We have plans for that, but those plans have not crystallized yet. Through this Asia fan meeting tour, we wish to first greet the Chinese fans.
Q: What were your feelings when they took part in New York's fashion week?
C: We usually only see the American fashion shows through the TV or the media reports, so because we were able to personally participate this time, it was different and we were happy, and it was a pleasant experience.
Q: You've just released a new album in Japan. Will there be Chinese versions of your songs for the benefit of their Chinese fans?
Y: I also hope that this album will have a Chinese version, but we don't have concrete plans for that at this moment. We'll greet the fans through this fan meeting first, and hope that there'll be opportunities for a Chinese album in the future
Q: This Beijing Workers' Gymnasium is a venue usually for holding concerts. In holding this fan meeting here, are you intending to make it like a mini-concert?
C: Holding it in such a huge venue is to allow us to meet with more fans and for more fans to be able to interact with us at a closer distance, since this is their first time in Beijing in about 2 years.
Q: Many fans went to pick them up at the airport, attracting much attention. What is the difference between Chinese fans and fans from other Asians countries?
Y: Because many fans are able to communicate quickly through the internet, so I think that there's not much of a difference between Chinese fans and fans from other countries. But compared to anything else, Chinese fans are very passionate and the speed at which they follow us around is very fast. Because many fans always show a lot of love for us, we always put the fans' safety as their #1 consideration, so at the airport yesterday, we left through the VIP section. It'll be great if everybody doesn't misunderstand our intentions.
Q: This fan meeting is to promote their new album. During tonight's fanmeeting, will there be any special surprises for the fans?
C: In this album, there's a new song called "Just Know This Before You Go". We've made changes to the song name and will have a talk segment called "Knowing Beijing Before You Go". Through this segment where we can talk with one another, we hope to know the Beijing fans better, and that the Beijing fans can know us better. It'll be a pleasant time for mutual getting-to-know-each-other.
Q: Are there any other countries planned for this tour?
Y: Beijing is the first stop, and stops for other countries are currently not confirmed yet, but they are all in the works, so i'm unable to say more about that. When they have been confirmed, we'll definitely announce it to everyone. We chose Beijing as the first stop because there haven't been many times that we've been here, and there are many fans here, so we wanted to come here. We hope that in other countries through the various fan meetings, we'll be able to meet more fans.
A pause - Yunho made some funny actions lol-
A reporter got up and said "Ni hao" ["Hi"]. He smiled brightly and said "Ni Hao!" back haha so cuteeeee
Q: Other than singing their new songs, will they perform their past classic songs?
Y: Because this is the first fan meeting where we'll be greeting everybody with the new album, they'll focus on the new album. But of course we've prepared some old songs of TVXQ, but as for what songs they are, we hope that everybody can come and listen to it for yourselves -hahaha-
Q: Do Yunho and Changmin know that the Chinese fans have another nickname called "Xia Yu He", other than Cassiopeia?
[note: lmao this is where my childhood comes to good use -- Xia Yu He is a character from a famous Chinese drama "Huan Zhu Ge Ge" from some time back, and this woman is the symbol of a woman who waits so whole-heartedly for her prince lover for a long time]
-Changmin seems to have let a smile escape his lips even before the translator translated the question for him- perhaps he kind of guessed it was a funny question-
-the boys look happy after the question was translated to them- ^
the reporter added that the Chinese fans just wish for them to remember this nickname, and so the boys didn't need to answer the question ^^
Q: Since TVXQ has finally come to Beijing after such a long time, will they have solo performances for their solo songs "Honey Funny Bunny" and "Confession" tonight?
C: We're very thankful that the fans have waited so long for us [after listening to the Xia Yu He story]. The fans seem to be the same, whether whether they're from Korea, Japan, China etc, and from our own perspective, we know that all the fans have waited very long for us. We're regretful and sorry that we haven't prepared solo stages for tonight. If there're other opportunities for other stages in the future, we'll definitely perform them.
Q: i can't hear clearly what the reporter asked, but it was roughly about Yunho filming together with Siwon in Poseidon.
Y: This drama's lead is Siwon, not me -smile- Siwon and I have many interactions. It'll be great if everybody shows this drama lots of love. I hope Siwon will be able to finish this drama filming successfully. I'm not worried...

Q: Many Korean celebrities are taking part in Chinese films. If they have the chance to take part in Hong Kong or Chinese films, who do they wish to work with?
C: In a situation like ours, actually even in Korea, we've just started out and our acting experience isn't much, both of us only have 1 drama to our name. If there are opportunities to co-operate with the Chinese films, we would of course love to do it. Concretely we're also unsure, but we'll wish to work with good actors who can give us good guidance and help us to grow in terms of acting.

And I don't know about Changmin, but the people I've seen are equally likely to not admit mistakes, man or woman, so I hope he can glare at the guilty parties for me. MUSIC JAPAN and Ontama were a blast. Yunho losing to Changmin is a pretty natural and fun occurrence, but it isn't everyday that he meows like a kitten or seems more knowledgeable about Japanese culture. The expression on his face when he saw the tiger cubs was cute too, but the image of Changmin applauding his own triumph is literally fucking win.
Can't wait to watch Music Lovers and tomorrow's SMAP×SMAP.
