MC Yoo Jae Suk has gathered much interest from the public recently as he was often seen wearing a bandana around his face during filming.

Yoo Jae Suk is often seen wearing a bandana around his face in 'Infinity Challenge' and 'Running Man'.

The reason for his action is because of his very sensitive skin - because his filming often takes place outdoors, he gets spots or acne if he is exposed to the sun for a long time.

Netizens responded "I didn't know he had sensitive skin", "Of course Yoo Jae Suk is committed to having a good hygiene", "Doesn't he get hot?"

Supernova has recently signed an exclusive 1 year contract worth 500 million won (about $500,000 dollars) with Talent Cosmetics.

Talent Cosmetics is a luxury cosmetics brand which currently opperates 7 shops in Seoul’s Myeongdong district alone.

This is Supernova’s first national endorsment deal in 4 years, after modelling for Elite Uniforms along with Girls’ Generation back in 2007.

During this time, Supernova developed as representative Hallyu Stars in Japan, where they have landed over 10 endorsement deals, enjoying high popularity.

Though they have stayed abroad for a long time because of their Japanese activities, it is said that they were happy to return home briefly to engage in the shooting for the CF.

With this modelling deal, there has been great interest as for how all cosmetic companies have appointed Hallyu stars as their representatives, creating healthy competition.

Supernova now ranks with The Face Shop’s Kim Hyun Joong, Missha’s TVXQ, Tony Moly’s T-ara, Holika Holika’s CN Blue, BavyPhat’s FT Island, among others.

KHUNTORIA ENDING FORVER ?!?

For more than a year, 2PM‘s Nichkhun and f(x)‘s Victoria have received much love as the ‘Khuntoria Couple‘, but their time on the popular show ‘We Got Married‘ may be coming to an end.  Rumors have popped up stating that the couple will soon be ending their run on the hit show. The most recent spate of rumors stemmed from the last night’s preview of next week’s episode, where the two of them received a mission that had the curious subtitle, “a mission from out of the blue”.

The MBC faux-marriage program currently stars four couples – other than the Nichkhun-Victoria pairing, the show also features the Eunjung-Jang Woo couple, the Kwon Ri Sae-David Oh couple, and the Kim Won Joon-Park So Hyun couple. Due to the relatively large number of couples on the show, the program has had a hard time balancing the amount of time slotted for each pair.

As idols, the two also have busy schedules to digest on top of their ‘We Got Married’ activities. Although Nichkhun claimed that “We will continue our married life into the future” some time ago, it remains to be seen whether he can keep his promise: 2PM has started pan-Asian activities and their schedule remains packed until December. f(x) is also scheduled to be ramping up their group activities on the tail of their “Hot Summer” success.

Netizen opinion seems to be divided on the subject. While some bemoaned this rumor, saying “What will I live for when I can’t see Khuntoria anymore”, others were of the opinion that they had shown enough, saying “They showed everything they could, so it’s not a bad idea to end their run on the show”. Stay tuned to allkpop as we report more on this disappointing rumor.

Looks like today won’t be a good day for “We Got Married” fans — on the heels of the news that the David Oh – Kwon Ri Sae couple will be leaving from the show, Nichkhun and Victoria (known as the ‘Khuntoria‘ couple) will also be getting a ‘divorce’ from the popular MBC reality show

“Two couples will be leaving the program in the middle of September,” stated a representative for MBC. “We’re in the middle of recruiting a new couple.” With the departure of two couples, it will be interesting to see how ‘We Got Married’ plans on filling the gaps.

Stay tuned to allkpop for more news as the situation progresses.

Actor Yu A-in revealed that he is a high school dropout during a press conference to promote his new movie “Wandeugi” yesterday.

While talking to the press about his character in the film, a rebellious student, Yu said that he can relate to the character and that he doesn’t have a lot of fond memories from his own school days.

He then said that he quit school during his first year of high school.

A private South Korean group says it intends, as soon as next year, to beam satellite entertainment television programs into the isolated North.

North Koreans are allowed to watch only the government’s television channels, which mainly broadcast news, movies and documentaries predictability exhorting the successes of the country’s communist leadership.

But a group of South Koreans wants to give those on the northern side of the divided peninsula some lighter fare, hoping that will help unify, at least culturally, the two Koreas.

Unification TV is to be composed primarily of South Korean dramas and other entertainment programs.

The chairman of Korean Peninsula Vision and Unification, Bong Doo-wan, says the timing is right to launch this project.

Korea's design biennial: an extreme body of work that pushes no products

With plastic surgery for fighters and designs for bombs, the Gwangju Design Biennale – curated by Ai Weiwei – is challenging the norms of commercially motivated design weeks
title or description
Folly good show ... one of the 10 follies built around the city for the Gwangju Design Biennale – this one is designed by Francisco Sanin

September is "design week" season, when cities from London to Brussels to Beijing flaunt their design talent, if they have it, or fly it in if they don't. Either way, the idea that design is crucial to a lively urban economy has become so prevalent in the last decade that there are now more than 60 design weeks around the globe – some of them in cities you may never have heard of. This weekend I was in Gwangju, the sixth biggest city in Korea. The Gwangju Design Biennale may sound obscure, but it is rumoured to have a bigger budget than the Venice Art Biennale, which tells you how seriously the Koreans take their design.

In a first, talent agency YG Entertainment saw better business than top talent firm SM Entertainment during the first half of this year.

According to a report submitted to the Financial Supervisory Service on Monday, YG's sales for the January to June period of this year stood at over 44.74 billion won, close to the 44.77 billion won the firm made all of last year.

The figure is also higher than SM's sales of 40.59 billion won during the first six months of this year, making it the first time for YG to surpass SM which has long been the most profitable entertainment firm.

Additionally, YG posted an operating profit of about 9.64 billion won with the net profit standing at a little less than 7.30 billion during the same term, while SM recorded an operating profit of under 4.82 billion won and a net profit of slightly over 3.92 billion won.

YG's improved performance can be attributed to sales the agency saw from concerts, amounting to 12.52 billion won, such as Big Bang's "BIG SHOW" earlier this year and the "LOVE&HOPE" concert held in Japan.

YG's report will become binding if the FSS does not request for a revision on YG's report within the next 15 days and YG will be listed on Korea's KOSDAQ market after an intial public offering.

YG, which stands for Yang Goon, was founded in 1996 by Yang Hyun-suk, a former member of popular Korean group Seo Tai-ji & Boys.

Yang is credited with creating and managing the successful careers of many K-pop artists including 1TYM, Gummy, Jinusean, SE7EN, Big Bang and 2NE1.

The agency also manages several Korean actors including Kang Hye-jung and Ku Hye-sun of the "Boys Over Flowers" fame.

Yet another song has been added to the seemingly endless list of music banned by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family. It’s just been reported that Psy’s 5th album title track, “Right Now“, has been slapped with a ‘R19′ sticker for obscene lyrics.

On September 6th, Psy updated his me2day with the message, “I was told this startling truth not long ago… The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family appointed my song ‘Right Now’ as R19 material… They said it’s because of the line, ‘Life is like toxic alcohol’.”

Psy continued, “This is exactly why life is like toxic alcohol.”

Fans and netizens expressed their disbelief with, “I don’t understand them”, “Do they want us to only listen to children’s songs?”, and “This is really confusing. At this rate, there won’t be any songs to listen to.”

Some of the songs that have been banned so far by the MOGEF include B2ST’s “On Rainy Days”, Baek Ji Young‘s “I Can’t Drink”, 2PM‘s “Hands Up”, Jang Hye Jin‘s “It’s A Drink”, and Kim Jo Han’s “Alcohol Truth”.

All of these songs have been deemed inappropriate for minors by the Ministry due to their “obscene” lyrical content which may encourage juvenile delinquency in teenagers.

Phantom, a new project trio under Brand New Music, has released a stunning medley arrangement of songs banned by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family (MOGEF).

Members Hanhae, Sanchez, and Kiggen (HybRefine) delivered a song titled “19 Song (Love Songs That Teens Cannot Listen To)”, which contains lyrics by popular banned songs like TVXQ‘s “Mirotic“, DJ DOC‘s “I’m This Kind of Person“, Vibe’s “I’m Always Drinking“, GD&TOP‘s “Knock Out” and “Don’t Go Home“, 10cm‘s “Americano“, and 2PM‘s “Hands Up“.

At the end, they rewrote the lyrics of “Americano” to say, “Elementary, junior high, and high school students, don’t listen to this!” To further emphasize their jab at the MOGEF, the trio brought in students with their eyes and ears covered.
