A recent photo of SNSD’s Jessica and 2PM’s Taecyeon has become a hot issue on the web.

On August 15th, a photo of Jessica and Taecyeon at a cafe was revealed on an online celebrity message board. According to both of their agencies, this photo was taken at night in Tokyo on August 14th. Dressed in casual clothes, the two stars briefly met up after completing their respective promotional activities for the day.

Representatives from both agencies have said,

“The two of them have already been known for being close. They just drank tea together out of the gladness for meeting in Japan.

They are just close friends. Please do not take this the wrong way.“

Meanwhile, last month, Taecyeon dodged questions about how he knew Jessica’s number on ‘Strong Heart‘. Are they just friends, or is this just another “proof shot” that they’re something more?

Eric opens up about Han Ye Seul’s no-show

Following the intense media attention surrounding the back-and-forth exchange between actress Han Ye Seul and KBS, her co-star Eric has finally expressed his honest opinions regarding the situation. To recap, Han Ye Seul has refused to show up for her filming commitments with ‘Spy Myung Wol‘ since August 14th, holding up the production schedules of everyone involved and forcing the crew to come up with a quick highlights reel for this week’s episode due to insufficient footage.

On August 15th, Eric spoke through an interview with Newsen, saying,

“Though the viewer ratings and reports for ‘Spy Myung Wol’ haven’t been that great, the rest of the actors and I have been enduring it and doing our best while thinking, ‘If we work hard, there will be good results’. Of course, my tight schedule and filming itself have been a little hard, but I’ve been trying my best to keep my promise with the viewers.

Haven’t we all gone through tough times will working on ‘Spy Myung Wol’ and other dramas? Isn’t it the same for all the other actors? I believe that overcoming and fighting through these struggles is the responsibility of the actor.

I believe that staying out of reach and causing the drama to stop is not right.  I wish Han Ye Seul would hurry and return to the set. I want to achieve a successful conclusion with mutual understanding.“

Eric had been caught in between Han Ye Seul and their PD since the beginning of ‘Spy Myung Wol’. When Han Ye Seul initially suggested changing PDs, Eric said, “If the PD changes now, it’ll have a bad effect“. A representative said that afterwards, Han Ye Seul completed her filming smoothly. There’s a rumor that said the producers and staff met with the actors to listen to both sides of the argument.

Meanwhile, there have been a barrage of reports since the afternoon of August 15th, stating that Han Ye Seul had left for America on a 3PM flight under her real name, Leslie Kim. Supposedly, Han Ye Seul went to Los Angeles to visit her parents.

There have also been reports through social media networks from those who reportedly sighted her at the airport waiting for her flight. But there’s no verification about her exact whereabouts yet, as her agency and production company have been unable to get in contact with her since.

With this said, Han Ye Seul’s departure to Los Angeles on August 15th has raised possibilities of a secret marriage in the US which could lead to her retirement from the entertainment industry altogether.

Han Ye Seul has been dating an unnamed entrepreneur in his late 30s for about 8 months since the beginning of this year. It is reported that this entrepreneur has been sighted visiting the set numerous times by actors / actresses along with the the staff of KBS’s “Spy Myung Wol” to show his support for his lover.

The entrepreneur is known to have a very promising future as he is running a number of businesses in America. The couple first met through a social gathering and their relationship grew quickly to be dating under the premise of marriage. Not long ago, Han Ye Seul also received an expensive luxury sedan from her lover.

United Cube Concert News + Fancams

 After successfully concluding their first-ever ‘United Cube‘ concert ‘Fantasy Land‘, the artists of Cube Entertainment - B2ST, G.NA, and 4minute – had much to say about their experiences and reflections.

“Even though this concert is only a small start, it is a giant first step so we will perform happily,” said B2ST’s Doojoon. “Although the beginning is weak, the finish will be amazing,” he added.

Kikwang was hosting SBS’s Inkigayo and did not attend the press conference.

For the girls of 4minute, who haven’t held a single concert since their debut in 2009, the ‘United Cube’ concert was a particularly special moment. “After building experience with this collaboration concert, we’d like to show off our improved skills through our own solo concert,” revealed 4minute’s HyunA.

“Our concert’s strong point was that we had separate teams that each showed their own unique performance,” commented 4minute’s Jihyun. “We’d like to go perform at places that our fans want us to be at, such as Germany.”

Although holding a family concert had its benefits, B2ST’s Yoseob also revealed several downsides. “Unlike at our solo concert, it was hard trying to match schedules with 4minute and G.NA,” he said.

G.NA, the concert’s only solo artist, said that she felt pleased to take part in the show. “I’m just happy to be performing with 4minute and B2ST,” she said. “Everyone worked hard to be here. We’ll work even harder for our fans who’ve loved us so much.”

The concert drew an estimated 8,500 people and also guest starred Huh Gak, A Pink, and Mario. After packing up in Seoul, the concert will travel to Tokyo’s Budokan arena on August 25th; the tour was also scheduled to hit up London’s Wimbledon Arena on November 19th, however, due to the recent riots, Cube expressed that they were closely monitoring the situation before finalizing any details.

But foreign K-Pop fans can look forward to other possible Cube concerts outside of London.

“We had concert planning representatives from Paraguay, Russia, and Finland at the Seoul concert,” revealed a Cube representative. “We anticipate good news from them when they return home.”

South Korean GOMTV.net streaming service hacked

South Korean web users have been left reeling again just weeks after one of the biggest data breaches in the country's history, after hackers attacked streaming service GOMTV.net and compromised details including names, email addresses and passwords.

A post on the site on Sunday revealed that attackers had breached the site early on Saturday morning local time, but fortunately GOMTV uses PayPal to process payments so no credit card details were stolen.

"We strongly encourage you to change your GOMTV.net password and if you have been using the same password for other web sites, we suggest changing the passwords for those sites as well," noted the statement.

"As soon as we discovered the sign of intrusion we conducted a complete investigation into the incident and have also taken steps to enhance security and strengthen our network system in order to provide you with better protection of your personal information."

South Korea's "real names" debacle and the virtues of online anonymity

Is Internet anonymity a problem? Germany's Interior Minister Hans-Peter Friedrich thinks so. In comments to the German magazine Speigel, he argued that the recent attacks in Norway illustrate the need to force political commentators to identify themselves online. The shooter, Anders Breivik, cited a pseudonymous anti-Muslim blogger in his manifesto.

Meanwhile, Google has decided to adopt a policy for Google+ modeled on Facebook's "real names" rule. This has sparked a fierce debate, with some arguing that the shift to using real names improves the quality of public discussion, while others insist that forcing people to use their real names represents an abuse of power.

There's been a tendency to conflate these two issues, but they're actually quite separate. There are good reasons for some websites to require their users to use their real names, but this policy won't make sense for all websites, and it's foolish and counterproductive for governments to mandate it. The right to free speech includes the right to speak anonymously, and fears of terrorism or other crimes shouldn't be used as a pretext for abridging those rights. Most importantly, there's no reason to think that banning anonymous speech online will deter terrorism or other crimes.

Han Ye Seul arrives in Los Angeles: “I’ve dropped everything now”

Actress Han Ye Seul has opened up for the first time since the drama surrounding the production of KBS’s ‘Spy Myung Wol‘ made headlines.

According to a Korean-American news agency, the actress arrived at L.A.’s LAX airport around 3AM PST.

Reports state that Han Ye Seul commented, “The drama production scene was very hard. I’ve dropped everything now. The rumors surrounding Hwang In Hyuk PD [and myself] are not true. I want to rest.”

She added, “With this incident [as a stepping stone], I hope my junior actors will be able to film dramas in a good environment.”

The controversy involving Han Ye Seul stemmed from her refusal to show up for scheduled filming with ‘Spy Myung Wol’. For two consecutive days, the production crew was on standby with little idea as to when Han Ye Seul would return to the set. Han Ye Seul flew to the U.S. on August 15th, and KBS must now prepare an emergency press conference for the 16th.

Uee Shows Off Body Through "Bottom Missing" Fashion

After School’s Uee is currently showing off her healthy and beautiful body through “Bottom Missing” fashion. (Now “Bottom Missing” is a word used in Korean entertainment/fashion for any clothing that is extremely short, or for fashion when it appears that *usually* a female is wearing an outfit that makes her look like she’s not wearing any shorts etc.)

On the episode of “Birdy Buddie” that was broadcast on August 15^th Uee caught a lot of attention with her fashion.

Netziens have written, “Looking at Uee’s healthy body makes me feel good,” “Uee is the prettiest when she shows her lively side.”

Uee plays a character that has a rural background, but goes through different hardships in order to become a golfing goddess. Her character will feature Uee’s positive and bright energy. The PD of “Birdie Buddy” stated that “The whole staff was surprised at her acting abilities.”

Jaejoong and his newest boyfriend buy lunch for 'protect the boss' staff

Co-stars Ji Sung and JYJ’s Jaejoong decided to buy lunch for the staff and producers of their SBS drama, ‘Protect the Boss‘!

Jisung ordered a lunch line of 100 servings to celebrate recording #1 in viewer ratings for their time slot with 18.7% on August 11th.

Ji Sung said, “We’ve always wanted to dine with our producers, who are always suffering for us. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to due to the delay in our schedules from the rain. Not only am I glad that we recorded #1 in viewer ratings, but I’m also glad to be able to sit down with everyone and eat and converse like this.”


Earlier on August 13th, Jaejoong had also bought 100 servings of samgyetang for the staff, who dug in wholeheartedly.

One producer commented, “Just seeing such a positive vibe between the actors just shows how great the teamwork is in ‘Boss’. We hope to continue this great teamwork, and produce the greatest drama.”

Infinite's official fan club inauguration tickets, sold out in 1 min

It’s been a year since their debut, and idol group INFINITE will finally be holding a special inauguration ceremony for their official fanclub, ‘Inspirits‘, at the Dom Art Hall in Children’s Park. Tickets for the event were reportedly sold out in just one minute after going on sale!

Woollim Entertainment revealed, “There were over 2,000 seats available for the event, all of which had sold out just one minute after ticket sales opened. We are currently receiving many requests for additional tickets from fans who weren’t able to catch them the first time. We are very thankful for the interest.”

At the ceremony, the boys will be performing their hit tracks as well as special individual stages prepared beforehand. The ceremony will take place on August 17th.
