Eric opens up about Han Ye Seul’s no-show

Following the intense media attention surrounding the back-and-forth exchange between actress Han Ye Seul and KBS, her co-star Eric has finally expressed his honest opinions regarding the situation. To recap, Han Ye Seul has refused to show up for her filming commitments with ‘Spy Myung Wol‘ since August 14th, holding up the production schedules of everyone involved and forcing the crew to come up with a quick highlights reel for this week’s episode due to insufficient footage.

On August 15th, Eric spoke through an interview with Newsen, saying,

“Though the viewer ratings and reports for ‘Spy Myung Wol’ haven’t been that great, the rest of the actors and I have been enduring it and doing our best while thinking, ‘If we work hard, there will be good results’. Of course, my tight schedule and filming itself have been a little hard, but I’ve been trying my best to keep my promise with the viewers.

Haven’t we all gone through tough times will working on ‘Spy Myung Wol’ and other dramas? Isn’t it the same for all the other actors? I believe that overcoming and fighting through these struggles is the responsibility of the actor.

I believe that staying out of reach and causing the drama to stop is not right.  I wish Han Ye Seul would hurry and return to the set. I want to achieve a successful conclusion with mutual understanding.“

Eric had been caught in between Han Ye Seul and their PD since the beginning of ‘Spy Myung Wol’. When Han Ye Seul initially suggested changing PDs, Eric said, “If the PD changes now, it’ll have a bad effect“. A representative said that afterwards, Han Ye Seul completed her filming smoothly. There’s a rumor that said the producers and staff met with the actors to listen to both sides of the argument.

Meanwhile, there have been a barrage of reports since the afternoon of August 15th, stating that Han Ye Seul had left for America on a 3PM flight under her real name, Leslie Kim. Supposedly, Han Ye Seul went to Los Angeles to visit her parents.

There have also been reports through social media networks from those who reportedly sighted her at the airport waiting for her flight. But there’s no verification about her exact whereabouts yet, as her agency and production company have been unable to get in contact with her since.

I really want to know what exactly is going on. Yeseul is receiving a whole amount of hate for this, but I feel like there's so much more that we don't know.
Seriously guys, something /has/ to have happened for her to bail out on this, and return back to LA. Something is wrong. Why else would she return back to her parents in LA? If it was really just her being all snooty then I don't think she would've taken such desperate measures and flown to LA.
I agree that she isn't handling the situation very professionally, but really, I really dislike the hate the girl is getting. And I hope that she can talk about what is happening T_T

i don't get the hate either. There is something clearly that we the audience and fans arent seeing for her to not only stop filming but most likely ending her career. This isn't some sort of random diva behavior, something real serious between her and the pd probably went down.

The bottom line of this is that Han Ye Seul's actions has put a lot of people jobs and careers at risk. Even if she had the best reasons in the world, this is still unprofessional.

By her basically running off and having no contact she has made things 100x harder than it needs to be.

Eric didnt say anything bad. He wasnt rude. Whats the big deal?

People are going to butthurt either way. People are going to be upset if he said nothing and people are upset if he says anything.

I don't get why people are jumping on Eric. This is one of those rare times a celebrity has the absolute right to put in their 2 cents. According to the other article, Eric had to stay in costume for 36 hours. He was in stand-by mode, barely sleeping and not knowing when he'd get called in to finish the shoot. He's still an idol, and we should all know what an idol's schedule is like. So really, how can you begrudge him being upset? How can you tell him to STFU when this lady's unprofessionalism has interfered with his life and his current work?

TBH he addressed the situation with minimal rudeness towards her. he only vented his frustration. He, as well as his castmates are suffering because of this. They probably know just as much as we do and can't do anything but vent. unfortunately this rant will garner unwanted attention from his fans and create antis, but I'm sure antis were already sitting in wait from all the other articles generated from this calamity.

I have no judgement or malice toward Han ye seul. I don't know if this is superficial or if something is seriously wrong concerning her and the PD. I hope there is something wrong and that she can justify this behavior. No matter what, it's still unfortunate for the cast and crew who are caught between this storm. Don't hate on the bystanders when they get frustrated. Hate on the media who reports on the situation before facts are clear and keeps writing out stories to amplify the situation. The thing is Eric no one truly knows what her "struggles" are. I don't know wtf went down between these two, but I don't think it's right to judge her and force her to work somewhere where she is obviously uncomfortable or scared to be at. This woman put his career on hold bc of her inability to deal with work professionally. Ran away from her problem..basically like "Yea my fault...see ya!"
If I were him, I'll be pissed off.

I don't care what her reasons are. She acted like a brat. Unprofessional and immature. She's not a kid. She's a grown woman...not to be mention a public figure. She forgot everyone else around her...ignore the bigger picture and ran away.

Eric should be complaining.
