Singer Brian showed his interest in After School’s Kahi on “Declaration of Freedom Saturday – SECRET“.

On the episode that aired on the 25th, Brian chose Kahi to be the person he would like to remain in the “secret cage” with till the end. “I have had feelings for Kahi and wanted her to pay attention to me,” he said. “If I’m with Kahi till the end, I will always remain by her side.”

However, Kahi turned him down and hurt his feelings for the rest of the filming.

Block B sells out first batch of album copies

Officially releasing their first mini album, “New Kids on the Block,” earlier this week, Cho PD, creator of Block B,, is proud to announce that the group is doing well in terms of pre-orders and album sales.

Despite being new in the industry and previously criticized for the amount of production costs and preparation, it has been confirmed that within two months after debuting, the group has managed to sell out all of their first batch of CDs, a feat not typically achieved by most rookie idol groups.

Cho PD, creator of the group as well as chairman of their fanclub, was quoted saying, “Judging from the speed at which they’re garnering fans and the progress their international fans have made, we decided that it was a reasonable goal. But we had no idea that the first batch of copies would be sold out with just pre-orders alone two days before the album’s official release. It’s difficult for us to judge how many more batches we need to make.”

Further adding that “Because the supplies aren’t distributed yet, and there were a lot of international orders as well as Korean orders, we are free from being suspected for buying back albums. Once they begin their official promotions, we predict that the sales will get higher.”

SKorean students rank Japan nr 1 nation’s enemy

Many teenagers think that the Republic of Korea’s greatest enemy is not North Korea but Japan, a study has found. The Korea Advanced Youth Association and Teengora Media surveyed 2,500 middle and high school students at over 400 schools nationwide, finding that although 63.5% believe that North Korea was responsible for the sinking of the Cheonan, 44.5% said that Japan is our greatest enemy, it was announced on June 23.

With regards to the cause of the sinking of the Cheonan, 20.7% (403 students) said it was uncertain, 12.0% (235) said they didn’t know, 3.8% (74) said it was due to running aground on a submerged rock, and 63.5%(1,239) said it was due to an attack by North Korea, so the majority thought it was due to a North Korean attack.

As for what response our country should make if there were another attack from North Korea, 27.7% (534) said to respond diplomatically through the Sunshine Policy, 12.8% (246) said they did not know, and 59.6% (1,149) said there should be a strong response or immediate military action, making a strong response to a North Korean attack the most popular response.

Asked about enemies, 44.5% chose Japan, 22.1% chose North Korea, 19.9% chose the United States, 12.8% chose China and 0.6% chose Russia, showing that 44.5% of teenagers believe that Japan is an enemy.

In a recent interview with Sports Chosun, N-Train‘s Jung Kyun revealed that he had almost become the victim of fraud if it had not been for JYJ’s Jaejoong.

Leader Jung Kyun is known for once being a part of a group named ‘TACHYON‘ through MBC’s ‘Show Survival‘. After the show came to an end and his team’s promotions came to a halt, Jung Kyun revealed that he had almost gotten caught up in fraud twice.

Typhoon Meari expected to hit S. Korea on Sunday

South Korea was on alert Saturday as a powerful typhoon was moving fast toward it after causing heavy casualties in Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries.

The typhoon, dubbed Meari, a Korean word which means "echo" in English, was traveling toward the Korean Peninsula at a speed of roughly 20 kilometers per hour from waters 240 kilometers northeast of Taiwan as of Saturday morning, the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) said.

The KMA said that the mid-sized typhoon, which packs strong winds and rain storms, is expected to reach the west coast of South Korea on Sunday morning where it will veer its course and make landfall later in the day.

The southern island of Jeju will come under the influence of the typhoon as early as Saturday evening, it said.

On the way, the typhoon pounded several Southeast Asian countries, resulting in 13 people dead in Vietnam and 15 people missing in the Philippines, according to news reports.

Meanwhile, the Seoul Metropolitan Government said it has set up a disaster control center to deal with property and other damages expected to be caused by the typhoon.

Last year, powerful Typhoon Kompasu swept through the country, killing five people and causing some 23.3 billion won (US$19.9 million) worth of property damages.

Big Bang at LG BIG Mini Concert

Big Bang has done their heartfelt confession towards the member, Daesung whom was involved in a traffic accident.

'Big Bang Mini Concert' was held in the evening of 25th, at Nonhyun Dong, Gangnam-Gu, Seoul. All members have captured the stage as usual besides Daesung.

Daesung's part was done by the backup dancers instead during the show. However, when they were performing the last song, Taeyang said, 'Currently, Big Bang is going through a period of tough time but we will deliver good shows to you in the future. ' And G- Dragon said, 'We are going to show you the stages with 5 of us together performing on.'

At the meantime, the investigation report of Daesung's traffic accident which happened on Yonghwa Bridge on 31st has been done. At 10 am of 24th,a press conference was held at Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police Station, and the representative said, 'it is the negligence of Daesung which caused the death of Mr. Hyun in the accident.'

T-ara Jiyeon apologizes for broadcast mistake on ‘Music Core'

Through Twitter, T-ara’s Jiyeon apologized for her broadcast mistake during MBC’s ‘Music Core‘.

On June 25th, Jiyeon tweeted, “There was a sound mistake during Music Core, I’m really sorry.” She added, “The mic turned on while I was practicing my next lines. I will be more careful next time.”

Meanwhile, during the broadcast of ‘Music Core’, Jiyeon’s voice suddenly came on during FT Island’s goodbye stage – causing the broadcast accident. The phrase, “You can’t forget this person when talking about Hallyu…” was heard, which happened to be the MC’s script to introduce the next singer, Kim Hyun Joong.

However, the production crew of ‘Music Core’ carried on without a word of apology during the show, upsetting the viewers. Thinking ahead, Jiyeon sent her message of apology before the production crew.

Netizens praised Jiyeon for apologizing, stating, “Your thought is deeper than the production crew” and “Everyone makes mistakes, but it’s only right to apologize.”

On June 23rd, the 21 members of APeace visited Shiki Theatre in Tokyo where the musical “The Lion King” was playing. “The Lion King” premiered in Japan in 1998 and has been a mega-hit music for the past 13 years. APeace, meanwhile, just launched a long tour in K Theater Tokyo Ebisu starting th 18th of this month. Today, after their performances finished, they rushed over to the venue of “The Lion King”. The 21 members looked excited after the show as they were able to interact with the actors onstage.

Six out of 10 young South Koreans are not aware when the Korean War started, a government poll showed on Friday, raising concern about the fading public memory of the 1950-53 war.

In the telephone survey of 1,000 adults and another 1,000 middle and high school students nationwide by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, 57.6 percent of the adults and 55.1 percent of those in the 19-29 age bracket gave the wrong answer to a question on when the war began.
