On June 13th, dance crew ‘Poreotics‘ (the season five champions of “America’s Best Dance Crew“) uploaded a video onto their official Facebook page of a Korean dance crew named ‘Monster MG‘, who allegedly stole their routine for tvN’s “Korea’s Got Talent“.

Poreotics wrote, “WE MADE IT TO KOREA :) We’re actually pretty flattered LOL. Big ups to DiamondLifeKid for putting this together for us.”

The comparison video pits the two routines side-by-side, and viewers immediately noticed that MonsterMG plagiarized Poreotics’ choreography.

The official Twitter account of “Korea’s Got Talent” responded to the claims by writing, “We have taken action ^^ The producers are very upset with the situation right now. They’ve already made it to the semi-finals so we will discuss the policies with the producers and tvN before we make any further announcements.”

Brown Eyed Girls‘ Narsha has revealed her driver’s license.

On May 30th, Narsha tweeted,

“Hot 6th try. Failed once, twice, three times, four times, five times and…“

In the picture, Narsha is holding her driver’s license in white she is wearing dark-rimmed glasses showing off her easy-going image. Seems like Narsha’s post was revealing that Narsha had failed to obtain her driver’s license five times before passing on her sixth try.

Netizens commented, “Narsha, revealing her driver’s license. Guess you were really proud“, “Narsha looks very easy-going in her driver’s license picture“, and “Drive safely“.

Currently, Narsha is preparing for Brown Eyed Girls’ 4th album while completing busy Japanese activities as well.

In the photo, Sulli poses in the middle of a painting. Mirroring the girl from the horror film, “Ring”, Sulli poses as if she’s trying to crawl out of the picture.

Scandal-Tainted S Korean University President Found Dead In Apparent Suicide

A former agriculture minister under a probe on suspicions of bribery and his alleged involvement in an unfolding savings bank scandal was found dead in his car in an apparent suicide on Monday, police said.

Im Sang-gyu, president of Sunchon National University, is presumed to have killed himself by inhaling toxic fumes from burning coal briquettes inside the car parked at his family grave site in this southwestern city, 415 kilometers south of Seoul, Yonhap News Agency reported the police as saying.

He left a suicide note saying, "The result of having wrong relationships is too horrible ... but there was no monetary transaction" in an apparent denial of his bribery charge, the police said.

Goddess Narsha Becomes The MC Of New Fashion Show

Brown Eyed Girls‘ Narsha will be making her debut as an MC through OnStyle’s newest fashion program, “Style Show Fiㄹ.”

Narsha will be working with many professionals from the industry, including make-up artists Park Tae Yoon and Son Dae Shik and fashion designer Ha Sang Baek. The show will focus on fashion and beauty trends for single women in their 20s and 30s. A special runway has also been created to showcase various works with the cooperation of fashion bloggers and design majors.

The pilot episode will see Narsha talking about her unique fashion style in a studio of 100 females in their 20s. PD Moon Shin Ae said, “Unlike other style programs, we’ll be bringing useful style tips that both entertain and educate. Please anticipate how Narsha and the other MCs will work together.”

The show will begin airing on June 16th at 11 PM KST.

Singer Kim Bum Soo, who is currently enjoying the spotlight as a contestant on MBC’s “I Am a Singer“, will be performing a duet with American R&B legend Brian McKnight.

The two will be attending the music concert “Rainbow Festival 2011” in Kangwon Province on July 3rd. People were noticing that Kim Bum Soo was the only special guest to perform with Brian McKnight, and it seems they weren’t wrong to wonder. Apparently, the two singers didn’t just get together by chance, as it was revealed that McKnight himself chose to work with Kim Bum Soo.

A representative of Kim Bum Soo’s agency Polaris Entertainment stated, “He and Brian McKnight worked together on song selection, rearrangement, and practice with the live band, so they’ve worked passionately for this duet. They met in March when Brian McKnight came on as a guest on a program with Kim Bum Soo. Brian McKnight played the piano for him while he sang, and Kim Bum Soo gifted him with his seventh album, so it appears they vibe on a musical level.”

Girls’ Generation, one of the most popular K-pop groups, performed in Paris over the weekend. But this photo is from a Seoul concert in May, because pics from the Paris show weren’t distributed by international news agencies.

South Korea and Europe appear to be engaged in a bit of mutual admiration musically these days.

South Korean newscasts over the weekend were filled with coverage of a concert in Paris put on by the K-pop powerhouse agency SM Entertainment. Pictures of the concert made the front pages of many daily newspapers Monday, too.

Meanwhile, newspapers in the U.K. over the weekend carried stories about a young Korean singer who made a splash last week on a TV talent show in a manner similar to the 2009 breakout performance of Susan Boyle on “Britain’s Got Talent.”

In both cases, the stories were about one nation’s culture rubbing off on another. And both got more attention in the country that was proud of its influence and less attention in the place where the action was happening.

Girl group T-ara (Boram, Jiyeon, Hyomin, Eunjung, Qri, Soyeon, Hwayoung) began a fresh start last year with their addition of a new member, Hwayoung, making them the 7-member group they are today. Now, they are dreaming big to begin their career in Japan. They're also advancing into a coffee business. It takes an extreme amount of effort. Each member, besides their group activities, has been in dramas or films or in some type of performing arts. They literally are everywhere. But since debut, as T-ara has grown, but their mind hasn't changed and they congratulated us on our 8th anniversary. Via e-mail, we had an interview with T-ara about their new business and Japan activities.

Almost a year after debuting (kind of lol), Apeace finally gets a mini-album! Up until now they've only released digital singles, so this is a pleasant treat for fans who have been wanting more.

On June 14th, miss A’s Suzy left a somewhat horrific picture on her Twitter. She uploaded the picture with the tweet, “Amazing Suzy that will give everyone the chills. What do you think?”

Viewers clicked to see the picture of Suzy…only to find her floating head with no body! With her long, dark hair and her intense facial expression, Suzy looked like a ghost straight out of a horror film.

KARA’s leader Park Gyuri will be making her musical debut with “200 Pounds Beauty“!
Gyuri has been cast for the lead role of ‘Kang Han Byul’ and will be joining the cast this October in Osaka, Japan for an Asian tour. Fans in Korea will be able to see her in the end of November at the CJ Art Center.
For those unfamiliar with the plot, Gyuri will be playing an overweight woman who possesses amazing vocal talent. Due to her physical appearance, however, she is forced to hide herself and sing as a substitute for other prettier artists. Determined to live her own life, she goes under the knife to fix her entire body, and becomes ‘reborn’ as a beautiful new person.

With Jiyoung's release of Merry Love with Supernova's Sungje, Seungyeon's various participation in drama OSTs (the last of which was for Mary Stayed Out All Night), Nicole's filming in Heroes and her plethora of previous individual activities, Hara's filming in City Hunter and university enrollment, Gyuri now adds her musical debut to DJing on Shim Shim Tapa, completing Kara as a veteran group (who recently passed their 4th anniversary) where ALL members are prominent in individual activities.

B2st Six Surprise Guerilla Concert in Japan

Korean boy band BEAST held a surprise concert in Japan yesterday, celebrating the release of their upcoming second Japanese single "BAD GIRL."

On Wednesday, Cube Entertainment announced in a press release that BEAST performed "BAD GIRL," set to go on sale today, in front of 5,000 local fans at the Shinjuku Station Square in Tokyo on June 14.

"Our new single goes on sale so please show your support," BEAST member Dong-woon was quoted as saying in Japanese, while Du-jun was not in attendance for the performance due to his shoot for MBC's sitcom "All My Love."

“BAD GIRL” had made its debut at No. 1 on Japan’s mobile website RecoChoku upon its release as a ringtone on June 7.

BEAST made their official debut in Japan in early May with single "SHOCK" which placed in second on Japan's Oricon weekly chart in mid-March.

Meanwhile, the boys who have been promoting their first full-length album "Fiction and Fact" in Korea since May, will give their last performance of title track “Fiction” this weekend on SBS' Sunday music program "Inkigayo."

The boys will wrap up activities for the record this week and leave for Japan on June 20 to promote “BAD GIRL” before heading off on their Asia tour in July, an official from Cube told 10Asia over the phone.

BEAST will kick off the first leg of their Asia fan tour starting in Malaysia next month followed by shows in other Asia countries including Singapore.

Composed of other members Du-jun, Hyun-seung, Yo-seop,Gi-kwang and Jun-hyung, BEAST made their debut in October 2009 with their first mini-album “"BEAST IS THE B2ST" and has since produced hit songs such as “Bad Girl,” “SHOCK" and “Soom.”

YG releases 2NE1's comeback plans with new single "THE VERY BEST"!

First of all… due to internal affairs, I want to give my greatest apologies for the delay of 2NE1's new song.

We have decided that 2NE1's next new song after Don't Cry and Lonely will be released on June 24th and the title of the song will be <The very best>

This song is a work of YG's main producer Teddy, and it is a powerful song, with a mixture of electronic and hip hop genres with a fast beat. It is a song that is expected to generate good response to the fans who have liked 2NE1's debut song, Fire, as well as 2NE1's musical style that has captured the younger generation.

Although they have not been doing promotions previously, this time 2NE1 is planning to make a comeback and do broadcast activities with "The very best"

It has only been about 9 months after 2NE1's first full length album that was released in September, which included Can't Nobody, Go Away, Clap your Hands and It Hurts, since 2NE1's new song has included broadcast activities.

The music video for <The Very Best> was directed by director Seo Hyunseung, and it will be released on the 24th along with the song at 12AM.

New boy band FIX releases introductory MV, “Please Let’s Live A Little”

The new, and extremely talented boy band group, FIX (Four Immaculate eXtraordinaries), is comprised of 4 male members: Nuri, Sungwoo, Oh Song, and Jung Wook.

The group has introduced themselves to the public with an OST (soundtrack) for Cable E Channel’s drama “Big Hit,” called “Please Let’s Live a Little.”

The song illustrates a guy living in agony after a painful break-up with his girlfriend. He admits that he is unable to forget her and begs her to come back so he can “live a little.” A cup of medium tempo melody churned in with a few sprinkles of hip-hop beat makes a great recipe for a painfully sorrow song.

FIX will officially debut with their own single in July. Meanwhile, check out their MV for the OST track below:

SM Entertainment fabricates Super Junior's sales

Korean media company SM Entertainment is claiming that one of their artists, Super Junior, has sold over 100,000 copies of their debut single, "BONAMANA (Bijin)," the alleged highest debut single sales for a Korean artist. Late Tuesday, June 14, they wrote:

Super Junior sold over 100,000 copies of this single for the first run. With this, it made people realize the intense interest of Japanese fans for Super Junior.

The information was published by SM on their official SM Town Facebook page despite reports from Oricon that the single only sold 59,262 copies in its first week. SM also claimed that Super Junior had no "promotion activity in Japan prior to the single album’s release,", yet stated just a few paragraphs down, "Super Junior was picked as a model and sang the commercial song for the famous Japanese convenience store ‘CircleK Sunkus,'" which sounds suspiciously like promotion.

The sales scandal comes just a few weeks after the Korean media was caught lying about 2PM's sales in Japan, claiming that the boyband sold 72,000 copies in their first day despite Oricon reporting no more than 42,000 copies possibly sold.
