On SBS’s “Beautiful Morning” aired on June 13th, a follow-up report on Big Bang member Daesung’s recent condition was broadcasted.

Daesung has cancelled all his activities since the traffic accident on May 31st. He was involved in a car crash which resulted in the death of a motorcyclist. There were news saying he has isolated himself from everyone since then, staying in his room and refusing to talk to anyone, even his parents. Thus fans have been worried about his recent condition.

SBS’s “Beautiful Morning” that broadcasted today had a follow-up report on Daesung. They visited Big Bang’s dormitory and had a short talk with the doorman. They asked the doorman whether he has seen Daesung lately, and the door man said, “I have, not often though, since he hasn't had any activites recently.” He added, “I saw Daesung sometimes, he looks pretty normal.”

Seems like Daesung is recovering and getting better, at least he does not lock himself in the room anymore. The autopsy result should be coming out within another two or three weeks, Daesung fighting!

English speakers favor Super Junior, French and Spanish are Big Bang fans

Korean pop, or K-pop, is driving the Korean Wave abroad and Asian women in their 20s make up the majority of overseas hallyu fans, a survey found on Monday.

The Korea Tourism Organization conducted the online hallyu survey on 12,085 non-Korean visitors from 102 countries to its website (www.visitkorea.or.kr) from May 11 to May 31, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the website. The survey asked seven questions related to the Korean Wave in eight languages ― English, Japanese, traditional Chinese, simplified Chinese, German, French, Spanish and Russian ― on the site, via e-mail and on social networking services such as Twitter and Facebook.

Asked to select a category of hallyu that interests them, 55 percent of respondents, 6,447 people, picked K-pop. This was followed by TV drama with 33 percent, film with 6 percent and others with 7 percent. Others included TV variety shows such as KBS’ “2 Days & 1 Night,” Korean food, shopping and cosmetics.

Not sure how reliable results these are. I imagine that lots of people whose mother tongue wasn't among survey languages answered in English, and thus results don't really reflect actual English speaking countries that well  (US/Canada/UK/Ireland/etc).  And I wonder why Kim Tae Hee was so popular among German speaking respondents.

T-ara's Hyomin will replace Boram as the group's leader when T-ara begins their comeback activities.

T-ara's company, Core Contents Media said, "(Since T-ara debuted) We planned to rotate the leader for each album that T-ara will release. It gives them a new responsibility to consult with the other members and as a leader, help plan T-ara's next choices. Eunjung was originally leader because of her training period, and her and Hyomin have had the longest preparation period. Because of this, it was determined Hyomin would be a good choice," they said on the 14th.

Following, "While in Korea, the oldest members were originally the leader. Because T-ara will enter the Japanese market soon, it'll be critical to determine how Hyomin does during 'Roly Poly' activities. Afterward, we will determine if Hyomin is sufficient to be the leader while in Japan," they explained.

Meanwhile, T-ara will comeback on July 1st with 'Roly Poly' which was composed by Choi Kyusung and Shinsadong Tiger. Their album 'John Travolta Wannabe' has a meaning of missing John Travolta and is inspired by 'Saturday Night Fever'.
