Members played a quick question and answer game on stage where members share embarassing stories about each other.

When CNBLUE were asked which member cries most often, everyone pointed out in unison to Kang Minhyuk. They said that when he accidently kicks a table leg immediately climbs into bed complaining about the pain while crying. Minhyuk promptly refuted, saying that it’s not that he likes to cry, it’s just that tears will flow out unconsciously.

SECRET’s Hyosung ranks her looks

SECRET’s Hyosung recently ranked her looks within her team on KBS2TV’s “Star Golden Bell.”

MC Ji Suk Jin asked, “Last week, SECRET’s Sunhwa made an appearance on the show and chose herself as the prettiest member of SECRET. What do you think about that?”

Hyosung answered, “I think I’m ranked 4th in terms of looks. Sunhwa and JiEun both have very pretty faces and everyone thinks Zinger is beautiful in real life. As for me, I think I have more charms as opposed to looking pretty.”

She continued, “I think I have the same image as one of the fixed panelists on Star Golden Bell. I have the confidence to be funnier than Jung Juri.” She then got up and showed off her comedic dances.

Hyosung’s cute antics can be found on the 25th through Star Golden Bell.

No, unlike what its title alludes to(from the classic 1984 rock mocumentary This is Spinal Tap), chronicling the vibrant Korean indie rock movement, Turn It Up to 11 is a real deal. And yes, it's loud. It's good times.

It begins with Lee Kyu-young, an aging punk who comes back to his hometown, Incheon, to settle down after having a kid, leaving his rock'n'roll days in Hong Dae (an area known as the mecca for Korean youth culture near the famous art college, Hong-Ik Univ). Then he gets an idea of turning a defunct tiny bar in the motel alley(crummier Korean version of love hotel zone in Shinjuku) to a club where indie rock bands can play. Because of Lee's reputation from his olden days, his label Ruby Salon attracts the loudest band in the lot, Galaxy Express (the name comes from Japanese anime from the '80s), a trio of good looking, hard rock playing kids in black attire. They are not only pretty faces but also very talented, heading for their inevitable stardom. Then there is Tobacco Juice: a bunch of (in Lee's words) lazy douche bags whose reggae tinged melodious music is unbearably catchy but because of their laziness, rarely manage to put on a live show. In the film, more than once do they miss their own gig because they get drunk at the bar (director Baek Seung-hwa gets to capture all these because he's the drummer of the band).

T-ara, Davichi, and 2AM to be at Co-ed's 3D MV premiere

Co-ed's labelmates T-ara and Davichi, along with gag-dol group 2AM, will all be present at the 3D MV premiere of Core Contents Media's new mixed group.

The music video is set to be released in 3D on the 27th of this month, with a premiere at Mega Box movie theater. The video will be 8 minutes long and Core Contents Media has worked with Korea's best 3D directors and artists for Co-ed's debut.

According to officials, when they heard that Co-ed will be releasing their music video, the three groups immediately agreed to support and will be present in the premiere.

Meanwhile, Co-ed's debut mini album is scheduled for release on September 29th.

South Korea has recently shelved, if not abandoned, its long-held desire to build its Navy into a maritime force capable of operating across the deep waters of open oceans. Instead, it has decided to concentrate on defending itself against the military threat from North Korea.

Ten days ago, the Navy chief of staff issued an instruction, banning the use of a “blue-water navy” and a “cutting-edge maritime force” slogans denoting what the Navy has been pursuing for the past 15 years. Since 1995, South Korea has been building up its maritime force to protect its interests not only in the seas off its coast but also in the Pacific and other oceans.

Wonder Girls Yubin and G.NA used to spend Chuseok together

During ‘Chuseok’ (Korean Thanksgiving) it’s normal for artists to sent greeting to their fans with messages of their wishes and what they’ll be doing during the holidays. G.NA (Choi Gina), who was the leader of Yubin’s former group, 5Girls, recently sent her greetings and revealed,

“During my five years as a trainee in Korea, I never had a proper holiday. My family members all live in Canada so I was alone. At that time, I stayed in the dorm with Yubin for 2 years. Yubin’s family lived in the U.S. My other friends went home for the holidays and brought back some food but I usually ordered Chinese.”
 

It’s nice to know that they kept themselves company during those hard and sometimes lonely days as trainees, which probably helped them build the strong friendship they share these days. But this Chuseok things are different for both, G.NA and Yubin. While G.NA spends this year’s Chuseok with her mom and grandfather who travelled from Canada to Korea to visit her, Yubin is in New York together with the Wonder Girls and their JYPE USA family.

These beach photos of actor Daniel Henney came from a Bench ad campaign back in May 2004, when he was still relatively unknown -- this was before his My Lovely Sam Soon or X-Men Origins: Wolverine days! They had a five-day shoot in Boracay, Philippines. Also included in that shoot were models Jon Hall, Gary Dulatas, and Chinese model Lu Yan.

A music program recently held a ‘band special’ episode with bands such as Galaxy Express and Trax. Unfortunately, while Galaxy Express was given the opportunity to present a 100% live stage only through a pre-recording, Trax was forced to merely handsync for their performance.

King Of R&B will perform at Seoul soul festival 2010

 Seoul Soul Festival 2010 is a music festival scheduled to be held at The War Memorial of Korea Peace Plaza from October 8th ~ October 10th. The original lineup for this music festival was announced as: Musiq Soulchild, Sean Kingston, Jay Park, and Se7en.

Now, its been revealed that Big Bang’s Taeyang is a “Hidden Member” or hidden artist that will perform on October 9th!

Other artists scheduled to perform include SUPREME TEAM, DJ DOC, mAd SOuL cHiLd, and UV. There’s word that Se7en will join Taeyang for a special performance as well. International fans can purchase tickets at: Interpark.com

FT Island Announces November Concert

FNC Music announced that Korean pop-rock band, FT Island, will stage a two-day live concert on November 6th and 7th at the AX Hall in Gwangjang.

The FT Island boys will perform their songs from their latest mini-album, Beautiful Journey, as well as their other hits from their first album Cheerful Sensibility.

Lee HongKi, Lee JaeJin, Song SeungHyun, Choi MinHwan, and Choi JongHoon captured the Korean music scene back in 2007 with Love Sick. They also conquered the Japanese market in 2008 and released two albums in the said country. Their singles were also loved in Japan and consistently placed them within the top 5 spots on the Oricon charts.

Back in August, Five Treasure Island also performed at the international rock festival Summer Sonic 2010 alongside top international artists such as Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift, A Tribe Called Quest and Sum 41.

JYPE expanding into Japan and co-managing 2PM's Japanese activities

Top Korean boy band 2PM will be expanding their singing career into Japan in a few months, according to their agency JYP Entertainment (JYPE).

JYPE explained through a press release Thursday that as reported by Japanese media outlets the previous day, 2PM will make a debut in Japan through major record label Sony Music Entertainment in two months time.

"Sony Music and JYPE have decided to go forth with a rare system where both major labels will take part in managing 2PM's career in Japan for maximum synergy," JYPE explained through the statement.

JYPE also said that while Ariola Recods and Epic Records, major subsidiaries of Sony Music Entertainment, will simultaneously promote the band and release their records, JYPE itself has almost completed setting up an office in Japan which will support the activities of its artists in the country and its various businesses.

Rainbow's Seunga, a perfect re-enactment of the Queen

Rainbow's SeungA has made a perfect reenactment of Son Dambi's distinctive vocals.

On the past 19th, in the broadcast of MBC's Youth Variety 'Flower Bouquet', there was a Chuseok Special for Miss Harvest. In this, the girl groups have shown their talents and struggled in order to be chosen as Miss Harvest.

Especially on this day, SeungA has shown her confidence by doing a "Son Dambi sunbaenim's reenactment". For this, SeungA has follwed Son Dambi's 'Queen' and her voice was the same as she followed it, she made everyone explode of laughter.

The judges who were Choi Eun Kyung, 1997 Miss Korea and actress who's the wife of Lee Sae Chang 'Kim Ji Yeon' and Lee Ji Sun Miss Korea 2007 have given the biggest score of 5 for SungA's Son Dambi.

Meanwhile, in this broadcast there was Rainbow, T-ARA, 4Minute, Secret, SISTAR, Rulla, Yoo Chae Young, Jang Young Ran, Kim Sae Rom, Goo Ji Sung etc...
