Qingdao's China Korea Song Festival scheduled for October

The 11th China Korea Song Festival will be held on October 6th at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center Grand Theater. Reporters recently learned from Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center Performing Arts Co., Ltd that currently the entire song festival's program performers has tentatively been decided with Super Junior-M, Lollipop, Winnie Hsin, and other veteran stars performing their classic songs.

Suju Leeteuk, hospitalized while filming KBS "Miracle" due to high fever

On 28th September, Super Junior's Leeteuk was hospitalized while filming KBS "Miracle" due to a high fever.

The crew members were worried for Leeteuk's body as he did not look good during the filming. However, Leeteuk smiled and claimed that he was okay.

But, the bright lit indoor ice-skating rink made his body condition worse and he was then sent to the nearest hospital for treatment.

Super Junior members Yesung, Shindong and Eunhyuk said that Leeteuk had a case of fever a few days ago and they were afraid that he might have contracted swine flu.

After a short treatment, Leeteuk went back for recording and apologized for affecting the filming.
He also told the crew members not to worry about him.

Fortunately, he was tested in the hospital and the cause of his fever was mainly due to fatigue. He was discharged today.

Taeyeon, SNSD's leader, had a touching event for the members that made their eyes fill with tears.

Taeyeon's surprise video message to the other members was revealed on SNSD's real rest variety 'Beauty N Diary Season 2', which shows SNSD's true selves while on vacation at a boarding house. The September 25 episode was entitled 'Cheer Up SNSD!' and in it the members congratulated each other because it was their second anniversary after debuting.

Korea adds some gay to the typical love triangle

In "Hello My Love", girl falls in love with boy, but boy falls in love with boy, breaking girl's heart. The movie adds an exotic twist with things Parisian as well as a touch of something trendy with wine lessons to sugarcoat the sensitive subject matter of homosexuality in South Korea.

One may think of the sexually explicit epic "A Frozen Flower", but this feature film debut by Kim Aaron is more akin to Hong Ji-young's trendspotting romance "The Naked Kitchen". It is essentially a romantic comedy with a rather unconventional love triangle strewn into strictly mainstream themes of heartbreak, loss and growing pains.

WonderGirls’ photo misused by African newspaper for article related to young girls dating older men?

It is known that a newspaper in Swaziland southeast Africa has committed inappropriate use of a photo of the WonderGirls.

A newspaper in Swaziland ran an article on 25th September about the reasons to why young girls date older men. And together with the article was a photo of WonderGirls (when HyunA was still part of the group) posted.

It was inappropriate use of the of photo because the content of the article had nothing to the do with the girls. And at the bottom of the photo, it was written, “YOUNG AND BEAUTIFUL… Young girls prefer dating older men for a number of reasons.”

A JYP Entertainment representative said, “After knowing the news, we are currently confirming the truth with the media company in Africa. After that, we will take actions.”

Meanwhile, the WonderGirls are preparing for the release of their 1st American album.

Leeteuk's slip of the tongue to reveal that Boom has a girlfriend

It has been known that Boom is currently in a relationship.

This truth had been revealed on October 1st, during the filming for SBS's new variety show "KangShimJang" and it was a slip of the tongue.

On that day, Boom had unintentionally said "I don't have a girlfriend now" but soon after that, he showed that he's quite uncomfortable. After noticing Boom's expression, MC Kang Hodong had asked Super Junior Leeteuk, who knew Boom very well about this and in the end, Leeteuk had revealed that Boom is currently in love.

Choi Jin Shil - One Year Later

Last October, many hearts were broken by the news that Choi Jin Shil had committed suicide. Now, it has already been a year since this devastating news.

On August 2nd, a one year anniversity ceremony took place at her resting place located in a cemetery in Kyongkido. Choi Jin Shil's mother, brother (Choi Jin Young), son (Hwan-Hee), daughter (Joon-Hee), and the rest of her family were present. Also present were her celebrity friends, Lee Young Ja, Hong Jin Kyung, Choi Hwa Jung, Uhm Jung Hwa, Jo Yon Woo and more.

During the ceremony, the family was seen to be quite calm, while Lee Young Ja, Uhm Jung Hwa, Hong Jin Kyun and more were seen crying.

After the ceremony, Lee Young Ja said, "Thank you for not forgetting Choi Jin Shil and visiting. Thank you for your concern throughout the previous year. We will pay back all the love we have received." She also added, "Many worry about Hwan-Hee and Joon-Hee, but although they have a loving family, we, as friends, will take care of them as well. We cannot replace their mom, but we will try our best."

Wow. It has been a year already?
Choi Jin Shil's life before her unfortunate death, and even after her death has been full of struggles. Now, after her ashes were returned to her resting place, we all hope she will finally rest in peace.

Lee Junki Returns as a Journalist

Having been seen more recently as a singer across Asia, many fans were wondering about when will we see Lee Junki as an actor again. Well, that wait will soon be over.

After performing in Taiwan on the 26th, which concluded his Asia tour, he arrived back in Korea on the 28th after promoting the launch of his new photo book on the 27th.

It seems like he's restless when it comes to work, for he joined the filming of his new drama without any breaks having been in three different countries in 3 days. He finished his first filming session with success by raising up the atmosphere with his banter. After all, Lee Junki has the reputation of being the "Clown" among his fellow actors.

Lee Junki will be making a return on TV as a role of a journalist, Jin Do Hyuk, for the new MBC Drama, Hero (temporary title).

In the story, Jin Do Hyuk is a man who has got nothing but just his passion and optimism towards his life as a "third-class" newspaper reporter. I don't know about you guys, but I don't think anyone besides Junki can digest such character. Kim Min Jung will play his love interest although she was the second choice after Han Ji Min dropped out due to personal reasons.

Lee Junki revealed after his filiming, "Although the holiday isn't that long, I hope all of you guys have a great Chuseok with your friends and family. May the happiness be with you." Aw, how thoughtful of him!

Lee Junki's new drama will unveil their first episode on November 18th, succeeding the current drama "Heading to the Ground" led by Yunho.

Kim So Eun Sends Her Chuseok Greetings

Actress Kim So Eun sends her greetings as the Chuseok weekend approaches. Except for the recent lawsuit, Kim So Eun has completed an amazing half of the year.

She was part of KBS's "The Iron Empress" where she played the younger version of Chae Si Ra and that small role gave her a big start. She then snatched a part in Boys Over Flowers where she played the love interest of Kim Bum. With the success of that drama on KBS as well, she got involved with a third KBS drama titled, The Man Who Can't Get Married. Now that her latest project has ended, she is taking a break from her hectic schedule.

She said, "I've been exercising, reading and relaxing. 5 days ago, I got my driver's license! I'm so happy, it took me a month to get it."

She looked very beautiful and proper in her yellow and pink hanbok. The colors of the traditional dress were as bubbly as her personality. She mentioned that it has been some time since she's worn a hanbok. She mentioned, "When I wear hanbok, it's a bit awkward and uncomfortable. But I get to wear it for a special occasion, so it's nice."

Every year she goes to grandma's house in Daejeon, but her grandmother will be coming to Seoul this year. She grew up in her grandma's arms and was disappointed in herself that she could not visit her often because of her busy schedules. Kim So Eun mentioned that she is waiting patiently to see her grandmother.

She spoke of her family, "I barely have any girl family members, I have lots of guy family members. I always hung out with the guys eating sweet potato and all. I also did many chores for my grandma growing up such as making the fire. I love the countryside but the chores are hard!"

Kim So Eun says she can't believe how fast time flies. It doesn't feel real to her that her birthday is in a few months. She says after you reach the age of 20, time goes by twice as fast but she's happy she completed a goal by getting her driver's license. How about being in 3 tv shows in half a year? Isn't that a normal goal for an actress?

She finished by saying, "For the rest of the year, I want to learn to dance and learn some English. I am on break from school right now but I definitely want to return next year. I only have 3 months left in 2009, so I won't be doing anything exciting. I want to end this year on a good note."

Kim So Eun sure is a beauty in that hanbok. Hopefully school won't be the only thing she concentrates on next year.

F.T. Triple Sends Their Chuseok Greetings

We have been hit with a wave of Korean stars in the finest hanbok sending their greetings for the national holiday, Chuseok. Now it's boy band F.T.Island's turn. Sadly, Hongki and Song Seung Hyun are missing due to their schedules but we still got 3 of the cuties to pose for the pictures.

These three, Choi Jong Hoon, Choi Min Hwan, and Lee Jae Jin are also making a sub group called F.T.Triple. This group's album will come out with F.T.Island's repackaged album. They almost named themselves A3 because they all are blood A type but they went with the other option. They wanted to keep the F.T. name so they added Triple at the end of it to represent that it is a trio. Sound familiar? SS501's sub group was called Triple S.

These three boys like all the other stars stated that it's been a long time since they wore hanbok. Their usual costume consists of skinny jeans and stylish shirts on stage so no wonder the Korean traditional attire was absent from their lives. Lee Jae Jin said, "Now that I'm wearing hanbok, I feel really great. The past 6 years, I never got to really celebrate Chuseok because of concert preparations. Sadly, once again, I will have to give up going to see my family for Chuseok because of concert preparations."

First "TVXQ" gargoyles and now SHINee's Minho as the Pharaoh of Egypt... it looks like Halloween is hitting us a few weeks early this year!

For this week's episode of Star King, photos have revealed that the boy group's "Flaming Charisma" made a transformation into the Prince of Egypt. Flanked by Choi Yoon Jung (27), 2003's Miss Korea & "Belly Dance Queen", and Ha Na Kyung (25), "World Miss Congeniality", the three pulled off a reportedly spectacular performance, showing off skills that enamored both MC Kang Hodong and the rest of the audience. Park Hae Jin’s “Hot Blood” Filming Ends With A Crash

Actor Park Hae Jin had just finished filming a scene at Korea's beautiful Jaeju Island for his upcoming drama, "Hot Blood", when tragedy struck. While being transported to the airport after the end of filming, another vehicle hit the car that was carrying Park Hae Jin.

Thankfully a bystander reported, "There weren't any people who were injured due to this accident. Park Hae Jin actually got out of the car and made sure that nobody got hurt, which was heartwarming to see." Heartwarming indeed. I love seeing these kinds of celebrities who are talented and kind to others! When I heard this bit of news, I was terrified for him since I've been a huge Park Hae Jin fan since his "Chil Princesses" days.

The drama that Park Hae Jin was filming will air for the first time on October 10th, where he portrays a car salesman, ironically enough. I, for one, definitely can't wait to see it! Let's just hope that there aren't any post-accident injuries or anything of the sort.

Singer Lee Seung Gi has overtaken competitors like Kim TaeWoo and Park HyoShin to be the ballad prince of Kpop.

His comeback 4th album title song ‘Let’s Break Up’ is #1 for the 4th week of September on Monkey3 site. The song was up #18 on the previous week, but it rose 17 positions up to be at the #1 position.

Singers Kim TaeWoo drops 3 positions to be at #4 with the song ‘LOve Rain’, and Park Hyo Shin is at #3 with song ‘After Love’.


Other than this, 8eight member Lee Hyun maintains at #6 with his song ‘30 minutes ago’, doing strong up the charts. A music expert said, “There are only 3 ballad songs up on the top 10 chart, and they are rising up fast.
