Lee Seung Gi overtakes Park HyoShin and Kim TaeWoo as the best male solo singer

Singer Lee Seung Gi has overtaken competitors like Kim TaeWoo and Park HyoShin to be the ballad prince of Kpop.

His comeback 4th album title song ‘Let’s Break Up’ is #1 for the 4th week of September on Monkey3 site. The song was up #18 on the previous week, but it rose 17 positions up to be at the #1 position.

Singers Kim TaeWoo drops 3 positions to be at #4 with the song ‘LOve Rain’, and Park Hyo Shin is at #3 with song ‘After Love’.


Other than this, 8eight member Lee Hyun maintains at #6 with his song ‘30 minutes ago’, doing strong up the charts. A music expert said, “There are only 3 ballad songs up on the top 10 chart, and they are rising up fast. We see that Lee Seung Gi and Park HyoShin are the ones doing strong with the ballad domination, and with their long awaited comeback, they appeal more to music fans.”

Meanwhile, groups T-ara and Supernova are at #2 with their project single ‘TTL (Time To Love)’ moving up 10 positions. And SM new girlgroup f(x) is at #8 with their debut song ‘LA chA TA’.

I love LSG, but that title is unnecessary. I don't see why they have to compare LSG with Kim Teawoo and Park HyoShin. They didn't release their stuff at the same time, did they? It sounds like week Kim Taewoo charted higher than LSG for the 3rd week of Sept, does that make Kim Taewoo the ballad prince then? If some ballad singer release something later on and charted higher than LSG because it's NEWER, they become the new ballad prince?
