B2ST, F(x), Rainbow have entered the countdown of new idol groups debuting this year. These new groups are expected to join the pop scene as idol groups that have shown much success in 2009. They have undergone the common standard of training periods.

The new groups are notable having trainees that have "colleagues" in rival groups, that have trained together in the past. We have organized the points to watch of these new groups.

The KBS variety game show "Start Dream Team" is to come back for a second season this September 13th.

Since 1999 and airing until November 11, 2003 for five years the show that has had big stars of Jo Sung Mo, Rain, Go Soo, Kwon Sang Woo, So Ji Sup, Park Yong Ha and Yoo Jaesuk as guests is having a comeback on September 13th. The new season of "Start Dream Team Season 2 - The Green Team Is Going" has casted past members of Lee Chang Myung as the MC, Shin Jung Hwan and god member Danny Ahn. New members included to be on the show is current Music Bank host and actor Song JoongKi, 2PM member Junho and SHINee's Choi Min Ho.

The pilot is expected to air on the 15th of September at 10:45.

TVXQ "Wishes For All 5 Members To Attend The End-of-year Music Programmes"

The male group TVXQ has no intention to disband despite the fact that some of their members are in a dispute with their management company. This was reported in the Japanese paper Goodday Sports on the 31st August, when they had an interview with TVXQ after their participation in the "a-nation" concert in Osaka. During the interview, the leader U-know Yunho expressed his wish that "all 5 members can attend the end of the year music programmes", and there were no signs of any intention to disband. The report said that "TVXQ promised to return with all 5 members, and Xiah Junsu said 'Following this all 5 members will continue to do activities together, and we want to grow with our fans'; and rejected the rumours of disbandment.

Hero Jaejoong, expressed through the interview that he wished to "quickly participate in next year's a-nation and wanted to show everyone the image of all 5 members on stage having the best time", and Micky Yoochun said that "in future, we wish to perform more songs for everyone". These statements were noticed in particular as both members are involved in the dispute with the company.

Although they are currently in a dispute with their company, TVXQ's Japanese activities are still being continued. They participated in the a-nation concerts that were organised by their Japanese management company. Hero Jaejoong and Micky Yoochun will be releasing a new single on the 30th of this month, as the duet 'JEJUNG & YUCHUN". Besides this, TVXQ returned to Korea on the morning of 31st August, and they have no schedules planned in the near future. However, their concert in Shanghai, China, to be held on 2nd October, will carry on as promised previously.

Popular group 2NE1’s ‘I Don’t Care’ reggae remix version has received overwhelming response.

YG Entertainment said, “The reggae remix version of ‘I Don’t Care’ revealed on SBS Inkigayo on 30th August has received good response. We have requests for the reveal of this new version of the song the next day of broadcast. After some discussion, we have decided to release the song officially on online music sites on 3rd September.”

On SBS Inkigayo, the girls have performed the song with the song with a different reggae feel. And also they have shed all the colourful clothes they don all this while and wore the matured feminine image for the performance that day.

After broadcast, netizens have given the song all sorts of nicknames like ‘No-dance version’, ‘Scar version’, ‘Unplugged version’ etc.

Meanwhile, the girls will end their promotions for ‘I Don’t Care’ and will perform other songs from their minialbum from September.

2NE1's 'Vacation Stories' will be broadcasted on MNET's 2NE1 TV (Every week Wednesday 6pm) and the broadcast will last 2 hours long.

On September 2nd's Mnet 2NE1TV, the 'Vacation stories' of the individual vacations that each member was sent on, will be revealed.

On this broadcast, while 2NE1TV has previously only been 1 hour long, this episode is planned to last two hours. Much anticipation is gathering. Of course it was expected to show the filming of Sandara's return to the Phillipines after so long, but each member's different vacation story has also been scheduled to be broadcasted.

Mnet 2NE1 TV representatives stated "On the show's homepage, many requests have come rushing in to increase the length of the show. So matching with the 10th episode, a broadcast that last 2 hours long has been planned to please the fans".

Super Junior's Kim Heechul has been voted by netizens as the best Gag Idol. This achievement came after a dcinside poll of 2,903 users from 25th August to 1st September, on which idol star had the best performing/variety genes.

With his 'pretty boy' looks, frank comments and 4-D thinking, Heechul won the poll with ease with 1,018 votes (35.1%). His talent was also widely acknowledged by netizens because of his outrageous cross-dressing, kissing another guy during a concert and his hilarious pictures on his Cyworld minihompy. Not really much of a surprise here.

SM sunbae singers lent full support to f(x)'s first stage performance




The first stage performance of the newly formed group, f(x), saw SM Entertainment's singers making an appearance to lend support to their hoobaes.

Super Junior's Leeteuk and So Nyeo Shi Dae's Sunny supported their hoobaes on their first stage performance as MCs for the showcase event.

Super Junior's Kangin and Heechul also attended the showcase as guests to watch the new magnae group's performances. Kangin commented that the members of f(x) are "cute", while Heechul said, "If I were that young, I would want to be a part of this group."

Yang HyunSeok had an interview recently, and in the interview he said, “My love for Big Bang, anticipation for 2NE1 is great” when he was asked “Between Big Bang and 2NE1, which group do you have more love for?”.

A non girl group is ready to debut! B2Y are hungry for love

With girl groups taking over the scene, a new mixed group is entering the competition. With two males and two females, the group is composed of HanYeon, Jin Woong, Nara, and Rika. Maybe because of the long training period or their experienced skills, this group seems different from other rookies.

With their trendy disco track "Na.Won.Cham" (You Want Me) they send a message of "gain strength" to the tired people of modern society. The members of B2Y have their fair shares of troubles with their switch of companies and as a rookie.

The leader HanYeon (26) has moved companies four times and has been part of groups three times. Also in the team there is the second, JinWoong (21) who in the past was supposed to debut under a five-member boyband but because of company problems had to give up. Currently attending Yeonsei University majoring in Construction Engineering, he said that it is harder to debut as a singer than to get accepted into a prestigious school. In the past, HanYeon has said that before debuting she would say "I'm becoming an entertainer" as a cheer but after experiencing hard training it has almost come to the point she had none of that energy.

Thirdly there is Rika who was casted as the lead role in the musical "Rent" said that despite that she has experienced hard emotional times while moving companies. Even having professional Korean traditional artist Kim SungNyu as an aunt did not help to cheer her up. It was because of her pride as "I can succeed as an entertainer with only my skills"

With traditional music roots, the youngest, Nara, is musically skilled to the point she knows how to play the gayageum and write a song from the piano. However, even with that it was not easy to find a company that would help her talent shine.

Who doesn’t love this pairing?

Comedic hip hop rapper, Psy, recently finished his military service and is ready to get back into the music scene. Aside from making his comeback on Kim Jung-eun’s “Chocolate” set to air in September and working on his own album that is expected to drop sometime next year, Psy will also be contributing to Lee Seung-gi’s upcoming fourth album.

Psy was the one who composed one of Lee Seung-gi’s hit songs, “Because You’re My Woman“, which helped the wholesome ballad singer steal the hearts of noonas everywhere.

Many are looking forward to them working together again, and the hit that will inevitably make all the ladies swoon once again for Lee Seung-gi.

Paran's leader goes solo

Ryan, the leader of Paran, will be flying solo with the release of his first solo album ‘Ryan Learns To Love’. With the release of his first solo album, Ryan reportedly wants to show his fans, his very own color he wasn’t able to show as a member of Paran.

Ryan’s new soft yet dynamic title song ‘Boasting’, was composed by singer and producer, Jung-yup of Brown Eyed Soul. Hopefully Ryan will be capable of digesting the song just as well Jung-yup and show fans what he’s made of.

Ryan will have his debut showcase this coming September 8th, where he will also reveal the MV for his new title track, ’Boasting’.

SS501 films a vacation DVD to be released in October for the fans

SS501 went to Kota Kinabalu on the 31st for 3 nights and 4 days in order to make a surprise gift for the fans. SS501 will make a special DVD for the fans not only in Korea, but in all of Asia to repay their fans' love.

SS501 filmed their DVD from August 31 to September 3 at the Gayana Resort in Malaysia's famous vacation spot, Kota Kinabalu. Gayana Resort is near an undamaged coral island which can be seen from its rooms. The luxurious resort fits with SS501's pure image.

Each member full of different personality, SS501's five members will do their best filming the DVD along the coral island for the fans. After filming, SS501 plan to have a fan signing with Southeast Asian fans at Kuala Lumpur.

The sweet and beautiful images of SS501 at the resort will be in their DVD, "Hallyu DVD Collection: Five Men's Five Years in 2005~2009." This is set to be released in late October in Korea and Japan.

Super Junior’s Leeteuk and So Nyuh Shi Dae’s Sunny are in charge of being the MC’s for girl group f(x)’s debut showcase.

Leeteuk and Sunny will stand as MC’s on September 2nd, 5pm, at the Seoul Gangnam-gu Samsung-dong fashion center, for their juniors in the same agency, f(x)’s first debut stage.

According to an SM Entertainment representative, Leeteuk and Sunny readily accepted the MC proposal to help out their juniors.

So Nyuh Shi Dae and SHINee will be attending the showcase to cheer on f(x), along with 150 other people who were chosen via the Internet, and they will be heating things up.

On this day, f(x) (Krystal, Victoria, Amber, Sulli, Luna) will be performing their title song, ‘LA chA TA’ and other new songs, and the members will be showcasing their individual talents. Also f(x)’s Krystal, and So Nyuh Shi Dae’s Jessica has been a hot topic due to the two being sisters.

Jang Jin-young was secretly married

Perhaps to ease the sad news of losing 35-year-old actress Jang Jin-young to cancer yesterday (Korean time), the press has been highlighting the fact that Jang left this world having enjoyed a fulfilling career and, as it is now being reported, love life as well. News is circulating that Jang had actually secretly married her boyfriend (only identified as Mr. Kim, 43) with a small wedding ceremony in the States in July, where she was receiving treatment. The couple then went through the paperwork to legally register the marriage in Korea on August 28, just days before her September 1 passing.

The marriage was evidently kept secret not only from her management, but also their families. A reporter’s call with Kim’s father, a former member of parliament, led to an incredulous denial. However, a source at the Seongbuk-gu (a Seoul district) city office confirmed, “The two have completed the marriage registration, and Jang Jin-young and Mr. Kim were legally spouses.” An employee at the office said that Kim came to the office in person with Jang’s official identification and registered the marriage.

Kim père said, “I’ve never heard this before. She was going through a time where she needed to focus on treating her illness, why would she have married? We have no connection to Seongbuk-gu, and it makes no sense that they would have registered their marriage there.”

The city official explained that because of Kim’s area of residence, he is eligible to handle civil matters in any district of his choosing. The Seongbuk-gu office was in the vicinity of the hospital where Jang was re-admitted.

Since her death, a steady stream of celebrities and friends have been paying their respects to their deceased colleague. (They include: Lee Byung-heon, Jeon Do-yeon, Han Ji-min, Song Il-kook, Song Hye-gyo, Jung Jun-ho, Kim Ah-joong, Kim Jung-eun, Lee Beom-soo, Hwang Jung-min, Yoo Sun, Im Soo-jung, Kim Joo-hyuk, Park Hae-il, Han Jae-seok, Lee Jung-jae, Han Ji-hye, Kim Seung-woo, Lee Seung-yeon, Kim Seok-hoon, Eom Ji-won, Park Kyung-lim.) The funeral procession will take place on the morning of September 4.

FT Island Brings Another Version Of “I Hope”

On Music Travel LaLaLa F.T Island was featured (along with WINTERPLAY & Lee Seung-Yul) and sang the song “Because I Love You,” had a interview, and broght the listeners a new version of “I Hope.” HongKi’s smooth voice, not like the rock performances, had stood out during the performance the most as well as the member’s live playing. JongHun’s guitar part was also flawless bringing back the image of the band group F.T Island once again.

U-Know Yunho of TVXQ said, “Everything related to the work of TVXQ, I hope they can be settled down amicably. There are a lot of negative rumors which should not be believed.”

August 2nd, 2 p.m at Seoul Grand Hyatt Hotel for MBC ‘Heading To The Ground’ show conference, Yunho said, “I’m not able to tell you anything right now, but basically I’m hoping everything to be resolved amicably in rational way.” This is the first time he said a comment regarding TVXQ legal case.

“When I was doing a late night drama shooting, I received many cheerful text messages from the members, saying ‘Do your best.’ or ‘How was your day?’ I got texts like that. “Because this is the first time, I really want to support.” and I’ll answer ‘then please support’” he conveyed the friendship between the members.

Towards all TVXQ related questions, “I don’t know why only the negative rumors that had been spread. A lot of people seem to have negative thoughts. Most vicious rumors on the internet. Whether it’s wrong or not, I think those need to be clarified. Do not believe any negative rumors, and from my side right now, I’m just hoping everything to be solved amicably.” he said in composed.

Meanwhile during this TVXQ hardship period, over last month, Yunho concentrated only for drama shooting. On August 31st, more than 4000 fans gathered at Seoul World Cup Stadium to participate in the drama’s open shooting schedule. Yunho is taking role as the drama-born football player Cha Bong-gun.

Why is Jewelry’s Seo In Young crying?

Seo In Young, member of female group Jewelry recently cried on her cable reality show, Seo In Young's Brand New Friend. The show is not too different from Paris Hilton's show New BFF where the objective is for Seo In Young to try to find a friend that she can connect with.

In the latest episode of her show, she cried with the final three contestants that were left. She expressed how hard it is for her to pick people to eliminate. She sees how many people want to be her friend and having to kick those people off the show makes it very hard for her. She also doesn't want people to think she's treating people like objects / animals by picking who she wants. The contestants that are left expressed how they feel about Seo In Young's tears. The leftover contestants felt bad because they didn't know Seo In Young has been going through so much on the decision. But that wasn't all Seo In Young was crying about.
